After Heidi put thoughts of Luna duties behind her, she was able to relax and enjoy the barbeque. Nana Rose and Grandpa Liam sat with us, which made Heidi a little suspicious at first. When they didn’t bring up any more pack business or duties, she let her guard down and asked as many questions as she answered in turn. I listened intently, taking everything in.
Usually, when mates didn’t know each other before being paired, they would take a day or two to get to know one another before marking and mating.
