ALPHA ALEX POV Looking down at my mate's confused expression, I held back the questions that were burning on my tongue. She seems a little lost and she felt hot under my touch. “Tell her to come back. Let her finish what she was going to say.” She demanded, looking drained and weak. Now I’m the one that’s confused. She doesn’t seem at all phased by what just happened. When she sees my expression, her eyebrows furrow. “Why are you looking at me like that?” I can feel her anxiety spike and I clear my throat, forcing myself to stop studying her. “Nothing she says is important, Luna. I’m more concerned about how you’re feeling. Are you okay?” I searched her eyes and took in her scent. From the first time I caught her scent at the Rogue camp I had felt there was something different about it.
