Chapter 6 “Lunch time,” Tyler called to Ward. Mainly so he could be near Ward while he was working in the office, Tyler had assigned Ward to restocking the shelves in the mill store with dog and cat food, horse and cattle supplies, and animal supplements. The store carried a variety of items of this nature—horse tack, vaccines, wild bird feed, shovels, and other gardening equipment. It also stocked dog and cat sundries such as leashes, bowls, and toys. “s**t, didn’t think to bring a lunch,” Ward said as he leaned on the dolly he was bringing back to the store with another load of dog food from Barn A. “No problem.
