The Shire mansion wasn't left out as they arranged the banquet hall for a grand party.
Kathy was excited to celebrate her marriage anniversary with Lucious.
It was something she was longing to do for a long time but couldn't because her son wasn't with her but now that he was, there was no reason to hold back anymore.
With her planning everything, James left strict instructions to the guards to not let Edward in.
It was a special day for Lucious and Kathy and he didn't want his brother to destroy the event.
James was clad on a blue tuxedo and he looked extremely handsome.
Spinsters arriving at the party tried to make him notice them but he welcomed them with a stern look on his face.
He was never keen with crowd and felt uncomfortable with the mass number of people.
"Why wasn't I invited to such an event" Edward majestically walked in.
James was shocked to see him, he had given strict orders to not let him in but he was right there smiling at him.
"It's been a long time brother, it's good to see you" Edward hugged him and whispered in his ears, "No one can stop me from entering here".
James didn't withdraw himself to avoid causing a scene.
"Ah, there she is" Edward said once he spotted Kathy climbing the stage with Lucious.
"Ladies and gentlemen, thank you for being here tonight to celebrate our anniversary.
Please enjoy the night" Kathy said with a warm smile on her face as she stood on the stage.
"It's been a long time since I saw her smile" Edward smirked at James and found a comfortable seat for himself.
James was still shocked over his brothers appearance, he stood for a while watching him to make sure that he didn't make any sudden move.
Edward was a cunning person and could infiltrate his ways into anywhere.
But he had not expected him to appear at the party.
James may have had an advantage because they were a lot of guests present but he didn't want to underestimate Edward.
Edward nodded at Lucious and the look on his face turned into a scowl.
Lucious was unhappy to see him but he kept his cool.
"We will like the son of the Lucious family to give us a thanksgiving speech" the moderator said.
Everyone expected James but Edward stood in front of them smiling.
When Kathy saw him, her glass slipped. Lucious had to hold her from trembling in fear.
"Thank you all for coming to the event and honouring us with your presence.
The Lucious family is grateful that you are here.
We hope to give you a magnificent show"
Edward smiled and looked directly at James whose stare was domineering.
"What do you plan on doing" James held his hand after he had gotten off the stage.
"Relax brother" Edward brushed him off playfully, "I am here to have fun" he laughed.
"You and I both know that you are planning something" James kept his focus on the crowd,
"Then it is left for you to figure out" Edward replied,
"Why don't you cut the bullshit and tell me what it is" James finally turned to him,
"There is no fun in that" Edward teased.
"Our guest for today is here to present a beautiful song to our hosts.
Ladies and gentlemen give a round of applause for August"
James attention pulled away from Edward and to the lady who had climbed the stage.
The whole night was full of surprises for him and he wasn't prepared for any of it.
August closed her eyes and began,
"Time flew by,
Days stood still,

We are still the same.
No reason to lie,

I will hold on to"
August angelic voice and appearance captivated Edward.
"Am in love" He stood stunned staring at her.
She was the first beautiful thing he had seen for the night and he wasn't going to leave without saying a word.
"We stood together,
Climbed the mountains,
I held your hand,
And looked into your eyes.
Forever

Forever"
The crowd maintained silence listening to her until she was done.
A round of applause resonated and she bowed to them.
"Who is she?" Kathy asked,
August voice had soothed her troubled soul, she was anxious to know who she was.
"I don't know, D agency said that they would send someone" Lucious replied,
"Her voice is a miracle" Kathy praised.
She sought to strike a conversation with her.
August immediately became the centre of attraction at the party, men were stealing glances at her and a few approached her but were turned down.
"Such a beautiful voice you have" Edward tried his luck,
"Thank you" she smiled at him and it melted his heart.
He didn't look bad compared to all the men that had met her earlier.
He was strikenly handsome but in a devious way.
"Mine" were the words that kept chanting in his head.
He wanted her for himself and he would do anything to have her.
He was mesmerized by he body that his lustful stare was making her uncomfortable.
"I see you don't have any other thing to say other than to stare at me" August drew his attention from her body,
"Feisty, I like that" he bit his lower lip,
"Excuse I have to go" August tried to get away from him,
"I'm sorry my stare made you uncomfortable.
I was just intoxicated" he apologized,
"It's fine, I get that a lot" she smiled and he lost it for two seconds again.
"I would like to meet you again" he said.
Now that he had met her, he wasn't going to lose the chance of seeing her again.
"I don't see the need for that" she replied,
"Trust me, I will find you" he winked causing her to laugh.
"I will like to see you try" she chuckled.
Their actions weren't missed by an angry James who felt like tearing Edward from limb to limb as he stood watching them.
