2074 Words
Prince Albert Alexander Louise was said to be the most charming man in all of Fyn His stunning looks coupled with his gentle character made him desirable among the many royal ladies of the kingdom. But it was rumored that the young prince was in love with a young merchants daughter who was on a scholarship in the Royal college She was kind and humble despite the maltreatment the other nobles rendered her. It was her kindness that had caught the Prince's interest. It was even more of a scandal since the prince was already betrothed to the daughter of the prime minister of the kingdom. It seemed like a betrayal of the Silver family's name when the prince begged the king to take back the marriage decree between them. Though the king is hesitant to do so, seeing as he had already made the promise to his highest ranked minister and best friend to unite their families, the King's love for his only son was far greater than his loyalty to his friend and it would only be a matter of time before he would comply to prince Albert's wishes It became a trendy topic among the noble ladies of the Royal College, knowing just how much Alexandra was so in love with the prince, it was likely that she would make a drama about it The young merchant's daughter was also anxious about the situation, she knew she stood no chance against lady Alexandra and was afraid the other would go through every means to get back at her. But with Albert's love and support, she was willing to overcome any obstacle so their love could prevail * * * Alex wondered why so many people stared her down the moment she stepped down from the carriage It had been two days since she found herself in this world, though she still couldn't quite believe it at least she was alive right? She was hopeful that soon she would find a way to get back home, but before then she had to play along to be this Alexandra Margret silver person She had learned so far that she was in some kind of fantasy world. The name of the country she was in was Fyn, the kingdom of wealth and prosperity. It was ruled by King George Winston Luise, who had only one son and didn't remarry after his wife dead She didn't care for the history of this place, all she wanted was to go back home to her duties, her mom, her guns, and her training. Her father Jeffrey Winter Silver was the prime minister of the country, and o older brothers, Edwin, and Ryan, her mother died when she was born so she had been raised by her Nanny Emilia, the old woman who she had run away from the day she arrived Alex would have just preferred to stay locked away in the Silver manor and focus on finding a way to get back home, but apparently, it was a law that all children of high-ranking nobles must attend a royal school, where they would be Taught how to properly manage the kingdom in the generation to come. It was all so stupid Dressing in a gown so tight she found it difficult to breathe or even walk for that matter. The stupid hair ornaments she was forced to wear made her head incredibly heavy and uncomfortable. She was a soldier who had fought in a war! She did not appreciate being dressed like a barbie doll. It was even more uncomfortable since the young boys and girls that arrived in their various carriages all gave her a weird look before whispering to their selves. Why was everyone staring at her? Was it that obvious that she wasn't used to wearing a dress? How embarrassing " Are you feeling alright Alex? " Ryan asked her worriedly. He was the one that had come to fetch her from the woods. Alex didn't grow up having siblings so she wasn't quite comfortable with his fussing. She was a grown woman, well she used to be a grown woman but now she was a teenager again. Ever since she mentioned to her supposed father that she wanted to go back to her mom, it seemed to have triggered something in her new family because they became actively would follow her around the house and would even take shifts watching her. They didn't trust the servants around them because the prime minister had said it was their fault for letting her out of their sight. She hadn't met Edwin yet as he was said to be on a trip to a neighboring country, but Alex hoped he wasn't as clingy as the rest of the men in the silver family " Am alright Ryan, stop fussing " Ryan gave her an odd look and Alex only just remembered that the original her didn't refer to her brothers by their name. But she wasn't just going to start calling him big brother all of a sudden " I have some things to take care of, I'll come to find you when am done" " alright" Alex held herself back from groaning as he pulled her into a hug, he was so clingy She released a sigh of relief when he was finally gone and she made her way up the stairs that led into the castle. She glanced down at the piece of paper in her hand, plainly ignoring the girls that kept looking over at her and then giggling to themselves. stupid teenage girls So, on her timetable she had social studies first, then embroidery, dance class, table etiquette and wait..is this a timetable? She looked it over once more to make sure she hadn't taken the wrong paper Was she coming to school to learn this nonsense? Social studies seemed to be the only normal subject, but she suspected even that was just an excuse to socialize people according to their classes. This was pure bullshit! Alexandra could think of a hundred more useful things she could be doing with her time than this! " Lex, over here!" She looked up from the timetable in surprise. A beautiful girl who had short blond hair and a diamond tiara sat modestly on her head. She wore a bright yellow gown with off shoulders, the girl came to stand in front of her and took her hand in a casual manner Alex suddenly found herself being dragged down a large corridor of the lavish interior walls of the castle " You are something else. You are already in school but you didn't come to find me" The blond girl scowled with a slight pout on her beautiful face. " Um..where are you dragging me ?" " To show you something important of course! Have you forgotten what I told you last week already?" " I.." " Oh my God, you did forget" she gasped in surprise, flashing Alex a look of disapproval. " How could you forget?" " Well, I.." " Hey Juliana " A random boy dressed in a green tunic and black leggings waved over at them as he passed " Hey, William " Juliana waved back. Alex looked over at him and the boy scurried away in a hurry on meeting her gaze. That was weird " Anyways, as I was saying, Albert came to visit our manor last week. You know how I told you he was friends with my brother right?" Alex nodded despite not having any idea who this Albert was " Well, I heard him talking to my brother about Rachel, he's planning on proposing to her!" Alex wanted so much to get a grasp on what this Juliana was saying. So some Albert was going to propose to a girl, what did it have to do with her anyways? Seeing the blank look on the Silver girl heiress, Juliana had the urge to shake her by the shoulders and yell it to her face. Did Alexandra not grasp what she was saying? " Your betrothed is planning on proposing to another woman!" Juliana finally couldn't take it anymore and scream. It was loud enough to attract a couple of glances in their direction. " What do you plan on doing about it? You can talk to your father, am sure the prime minister can do something to save your engagement " " Um.." " How about we go over to Rachel's house and threaten her? I heard she lives on a farm, so disgusting" " Yeah.. okay" " Okey? As in your going to convince your father to talk to the king?" " No, okay as in I've heard you and I don't want to marry whoever this Albert is anymore. He can propose to a thousand girls if he wants" " You can't be serious? " Juliana said with her jaw almost dropping in shock. She didn't have time to say anything else because her best friend was already walking away toward social studies class. " She's acting so weird today" The blond girl whispered to herself. With a shrug, she walked in the opposite direction toward her music class Alex found her way to her class with the help of the small map behind the timetable. Nanny Emilia had drawn it because she still believed Alex was suffering from amnesia when she had jumped off the manor's walls two days ago. Alex didn't bother to prove her wrong, it was to her benefit that the old woman had come up with a good excuse for her lack of knowledge Hearing a sharp intake of breath, Alex looks up from her map to see a couple standing just outside the door of the social studies class The boy had bright red hair coupled with scarlet eyes. A small golden crown lay modestly on his soft hair. His face was very handsome and was hard to look away from. His lips were pulled in a straight line, forehead creased up in a frown as he stared at her The girl leaning against him had delicate features and long white hair that made her resemble one of those Angelic girls' illustrations Alex had seen on Pinterest. Her blue eyes were blown wide in fear as she gazed at her as if Alex would suddenly lung towards her and bite her " Alexandra " The handsome boy called out her name, warning evident in his voice as he pulled the white-haired girl protectively behind him Alex would have commented on how cute the couple looked if they weren't blocking her path. She didn't care to know how this guy came to know her name or why he was starring at her with disdain, all she cared about was getting to class before the bells would ring She wanted to get this day past and over with so she could go back to the Silver manor and think of ways to go back home She huffed in irritation and moved closer to the couple, ignoring the way the white-haired girl shrieked in panic " Can you get the hell out of my way? Some people have places to be ' ya highness' " She mocked him with the crown he wore on his head. How would she have known that it was the crown prince of the kingdom she was talking to The red-haired boy seemed taken aback by her words. His mouth kept opening and closing like he wanted to say something to her but didn't know how Alex snorted with impatience and simply shoved passed him and into the classroom. It was empty except for one person who sat at the very far end of the classroom Like every other male she had met, he was really good-looking with dark hair and eyes as dark as night. He wasn't wearing a tunic like the rest of the boys she had seen but rather a white long-sleeved shirt with the two upper bottoms left open He looked up from his table and their eyes met for a few seconds before both of them looked away in disinterest. Alex settled in a seat by the window as the bells rang signaling the start of social studies. She sighed as students began pouring into the room in crowds. She hoped more than anything that the day would end soon
