Chapter 3 Adama found that conversation flowed. Graf was easy to talk to and had many tales to tell. There was an almost mesmerising quality to his deep voice, with its rich timbre, especially since, in the pitch darkness, it was all he had to focus on. It was especially thrilling when Graf lowered his voice to a whisper and spoke directly in his ear. It sent a wave of shudders up and down Adama’s spine, and made him want to pull the man on top of him. It filled him with an almost overwhelming desire to kiss him, to get closer to him—to feel Graf inside him. At one point, during a rare moment when silence filled the burrow, Graf climbed out from under the bear fur, then disappeared back inside, head first. Since the burrow was small, his manoeuvres meant his knees kept knocking into Adam
