“Oh well, look at this, the little human couldn’t last very long after all.” The rogue who murdered my parents laughed as he let go of Marlie’s neck, her limp body falling to the floor with a thud.
“Mate!” Xavier howled in my head, as her body sat still on the floor, not moving. “Kill him.” He growled as his senses came back to him. The rogue turned to look at me, grinning with satisfaction at my shaking body. I wanted so badly to move and pin him to the floor, beating him until his brain covered it, but my own brain wouldn’t listen to me. I just stood there helplessly as images of my parents came flashing into my mind.
