Marlie’s POV
I sat in Damian’s arms for a while and he just held me close, breathing in my scent. I could feel his body relax against mine, which made me feel good; I was glad I could comfort him. After some time, he claimed he had work to do and suggested I do the same, which I didn’t argue about; I needed to get my schoolwork done for the day and then I could ask more about my Luna duties later.
I headed to my office, pulled out my laptop and notebooks, and quickly got to work on what I needed to do for school. It only ended up taking me three hours to complete my work, and I decided to take a walk to stretch my legs. As I got to the bottom of the stairs, I heard arguing between two people.
“I know you took it, you little brat!”
“I didn’t take anything. Leave me alone!”
