Carrying some undamaged belongings, Fernando brought them to the apartment. After getting dressed, we both headed to bed. I leaned against his chest, while his arms wrapped around my waist. I couldn't fall asleep right away that night, especially with thoughts of what happened at the house lingering in my mind. I also wondered about Paola's plans. The next morning, my alarm went off. I reached for it and turned it off, only to realize that Fernando wasn't by my side. Curious, I got up and started getting ready to go to the hospital.
