Noah laid Jane down carefully on his bed, he used his bed cover to rap her body so well to prevent her from getting cold! He quickly rushed to the kitchen to get a bowl and towel to substitute her body temperature. He came inside the room and quickly dressed up in simple khaki trousers and top, he was ready to stay home and take care of her. After using the bowl of water and towel to massage her, he couldn't help pacing from one side to another.
He kept on checking her heartbeat by resting his head on her chest. He used his hand to check the side of her neck and wrist if she still had a pulse, he knew he felt stupid at what his mind was thinking and guessing But he just couldn't help it anytime he stared at her. He knew to do that gave him relief. He sat down at the edge of the bed close to Jane as he took her hand inside his to make them warm.
A knock finally came from the door. he dropped her hand gently as he stood up to get the door! He adjusted his cloth as he gave Jane one last stare, he didn't know why she wasn't opening her eyes. He felt a bit of annoyance and anxiety. “Yes, who is at the door?” Noah asked. “Sir, doctor lugard James is here?” The guard answered. “He can come in!” Naoh’s voice ordered. The door swings open as the doctor walked inside the room with his medical kit in his hand.
he stared at Noah before staring at the girl laid on the bed. Doctor lugard James had known Noah and Marcus since they were little kids, he had been their family doctor ever since. He stared at the girl again to see if he could recognize her along the line but pictured nothing entirely. “doctor lugard thank you for honoring my invitation,” Noah said bringing doctor lugard back from his thoughts.
Doctor lugard came forward as Noah stretches his hand for a handshake, doctor lugard took his hand for handshake. “It has been a while since your uncle's death,” doctor lugard said in sympathy. Noah nodded as he withdrew his hand. “who is she?” The doctor asked using his head to point at Jane. “Ohh, she is someone close to me,” Noah said. “Someone close to you? You said, I think we have a lot to talk about!” the doctor said.
“Could you check her for me?” Noah asked. Noah didn't want to give many details presently. Doctor lugard walked past Noah to the sleeping Jane, Noah stood behind the doctor as he did what he knows best.
After some check-ups made by the doctor, the doctor cleared his throat to draw Noah's attention, he packed the medical items into the kit he came with. “What wrong with her?” Noah asked. “She may likely have an appendix and little pressure and stress But she needs to run some tests if it is okay with you?” Doctor lugard asked.
“When can she have the test?” Noah asked immediately. “Anytime she gets to be free. But make sure she takes a lot of drinking water, it would help her a lot.” He said. “Sure, doctor,” Noah replied. “Thank you so much, doctor.” He continued. “Your welcome, some hours later she should be awake already.” doctor lugard said. “I shall take my leave now.” the doctor told Noah, Noah opened the door As he followed the doctor's lugard to his car.
“One of them can follow me to get the drugs! right?” Doctor lugard asked. “Sure,” Noah said. Noah immediately left for his room, he gazed at sleeping, Jane. She slept peacefully, beautifully, and looked pretty. he knew he wasn't thinking straight but he wanted to fall sick instead of her. He wanted to feel her pain instead of her, he wasn't liking the situation, she was facing. However, he couldn't do anything, Noah sat down at the edge of his bed he took her hand in his.
He kept rubbing his hands together with hers to keep them warm. He was about to stand up but her grip held him back, ”don't leave me.” the faint voice said. he stared at her before laying close to her but soon enough he fell asleep.

JANE POV
I woke up with a strong headache, my mouth felt dry and bitter. The side of my tummy felt painful and almost blinding, everything felt a blur to me. I tried to stand up but felt my hand intertwined in another, I tried to pull my hands as I noticed the person beside me. “Sir, Noah, ” She screamed using her other hand to close her mouth but she was too late as Noah had opened his eyes already.
He stared around still feeling very exhausted and sleepy, he reluctantly released her hand which she felt pleased about. she didn't know why he stared at her with such concern in his eyes. ”Are you okay?” He asked me. Why was he asking if I was okay? I was fine, I stood up to leave but fell on the floor heavily. Why couldn't I walk adequately well, I felt tears stroll down my cheeks from the pain I felt.
”You shouldn't walk around, you are sick!” he said. He wasn't a doctor, so he knew nothing. They were the people who put her in such pain. He came towards where I laid down on the floor and carried me like a baby who was tired of crawling. It felt so embarrassing. Why do I feel saved in his arms? I could feel his breath on my neck. ”Why do you think I am sick?” I asked him. ”Because you are truly sick.” his reply came. ”What do you mean by that?” I asked again. ”I had some doctor check on you,” he said as he laid me back on the bed.
Her hands were still wrapped around his neck, as she noticed the way he stared at her face. from her eyes to her lip. He kept staring as the door flung open. ”Noah, Snake said you were sick?” The voice came. I immediately removed my hand from his neck as I turned my face. Sir Noah stared at me one last time before uttering the name Marcus.

MARCUS AND NOAH CONVERSATION.
”Marcus, you are back?” Noah asked. ”Yes, I’m,” Marcus replied. ”Who is she?” Marcus asked further. “Jane the girl from the camp,” Noah let out. ”Why is a girl from camp here, you know it against the rules?” Marcus said not minding the fact that Jane was with them. ”Don't tell me you like her?” Marcus clarified further. ”I mean, do you love her?” Marcus asked again.
”You wouldn't want me telling you the answer to the question Or rather want to hear it.” Noah mumbled, ”Just tell me?” Marcus insisted.
”Yes, I like her.”
