Riven caught Ella quickly, pulling her into a warm hug from behind, startling her. They were far away from lurking eyes, behind the tree lines. At least, that is what they believed.
Not far away, Levi was watching them behind the bushes. He felt like ripping them apart. But he was using all his strength to control himself. He kept chanting in his head that he had to wait till night. After that, Ella would be his. He can't risk his position by attacking Riven. If only it was some other wolf! He wouldn't be restricting himself in that case. He gasped, clutching his hands in a fist, giving them deadly glares. He was fuming, breathing heavily, and feeling anxious and restless.
When Riven and Ella's skins touched, sparks flew everywhere, spreading all over the place again. It was a little more intense than before. Riven breathed deeply, his heart skipping a beat. A sense of calmness washed over him, putting him in a good mood again.
Ella knew who it was even if she couldn't see him. She has been picking up a strange essence from him lately. The more she inhaled it, the more she wanted to be engulfed in that scent. She couldn't even apprehend to push him away when he was so close, making her heart go crazy. It was like her body had decided to stay close to him. She turned, wrapping her hands around him and hugging him back. Her stomach was teeming with various confusing emotions. Riven was drowning in an insane pool of hormones, his heart pounding in his chest. He didn't want to leave her ever.
Despite being thin, Ella was taller than most she-wolves. But she was still shorter than Riven. He liked how she fitted in his arms like she was meant to be there. He had never felt so complete and happy. For once in his life, he didn't feel like having a woman around him was a bad idea. He had everything- power, wealth, influence, and reputation. So why would he need a woman to give him that? Can't he have her? Why not? All such thoughts pooled in his mind as he tightened the hug.
He leaned slightly downward to reach the crook of her neck. He nuzzled her ears seductively while sending a shiver down her spine. She let out a small moan and closed her eyes. No matter how strong her resolution was, this was too much. How can they not feel the chemistry, the electricity of their contact? Riven grinned with satisfaction at his small victory.
"Tonight," he said in a low yet seductive tone before leaving her yearning for more.
As Ella saw his retreating figure, she panted and gasped, catching her breath. Why was she even feeling so hot and hyped up? Nothing even happened between them. Her heart was jumping in her chest as if it would pop out of her body. And her soul was experiencing an out-of-body venture. She cursed herself for faltering so smoothly after that long speech. Why did she even bother to stand up to him when she was going to break down so quickly?
She couldn't sway his confident voice from her head. He sounded like he would leave no stone unturned. How was she supposed to deny him? He was a god, and she was already bewitched by his compelling charms. She trampled her foot and left the place to hide in her room before anyone told her anything.
But she bumped into none other than Levi! And yet again, her heart was beating like crazy against her will.
"What is happening between you two?" He pushed her against the tree, snaking his arm against her back. He didn't even wait for her to reject or accept his advances. He leaned forward, searching for her soft, pillowy lips.
"What are you doing, alpha Levi?" Ella fumbled, breathing heavily and erratically. She could feel the wetness between her legs as she twitched them, putting her hand against his chest to push him away. But when she touched his flat, toned chest, she felt a flutter in her heart. Her heart was racing, beating loudly. Levi chuckled, satisfied with her reaction. Despite her attempt to push him away, her body was expressing something else!
"What do you think? Do you think I will let that alpha of another pack take you? You are mine!" He roared, putting his leg between her legs to separate them a little. He rubbed her between her legs with his knees, making her moan heavily. What was he even doing? Why? He had never reacted this way! And why was she failing to stop him?
"S-t-o-p!" She fumbled, swallowing hard, breathing heavily, clutching his shoulders for support. She felt like her knees had turned jelly, crumpling down from his ministrations.
"So that you can bend in front of that alpha? Which part didn't you understand when I said You are mine?" Levi rumbled, poking his erection against her stomach, surprising Ella. She should run. At least she had to scream. But she found it captivating. She couldn't even move, sweating and panting. But still wanting more.
"Alpha! Oh! Oh!" Her eyes closed on their own when he started rubbing between her legs with his hands. "Stop!" She wheezed, gripping his hair.
"You don't want me to stop. Admit it, w***e!" Levi choked her, brushing his lips against hers.
But his remark somehow turned her off. Something came over her, and she pushed him away. She felt a little anxious from the loss of contact and her wolf whimpering, but she also felt more at ease. She had been preserving herself for the one- her true mate. It was the first time a man had touched her erotically. She was confused for a brief time. However, how could she let him do anything as he wished when he regarded her as nothing but a w***e? It was the most hurtful thing Levi had ever said to her.
"You! You didn't push that alpha. Why? Does he f**k better? Has he touched you? Did you two do it already? Where? Has he seen you naked? Has he touched you anywhere? Did you let him? How? I will tear him apart! And I will kill you too!" Levi roared, pacing along in front of her, bubbling with anger. His eyes were red with rage, and he was losing control over himself. His wolf and he was battling for dominion, both having an outburst and a strong urge to fight with Riven.
Ella blinked, stepping away. She had never seen Levi behave like that. It was confusing to her why he was so invested. Why does he even care what happened between her and Riven? Was he really interested in her, and she wasn't simply assuming them? But at this level? It was baffling. But none of that gave him the right to character-assassinate her. He was not sane. He has slept with most of the unmated she-wolves of the pack. So why was he questioning her private life? Despite that, she couldn't find herself standing in front of Levi as she did with Riven. There were years and years of oppression behind it, blocking her from speaking her mind. She was scared of Levi when he was fuming.
"Why are you not replying? Did you two have s*x?" Levi choked her, glowering at her. He was furious and crazy.
"We didn't!" Ella exclaimed, coughing. Her eyes teared up from the suffocation.
"You think I am a fool?" Levi roared, leaving her. She coughed more, catching her breath, crying vehemently. "I swear, we didn't even do what we had a few minutes before." She stuttered between her sobs.
It somehow gave Levi a sense of relief. A wave of joy washed over him, calming his nerves. "You mean, I was the first to touch you there?" He seemed delighted.
Ella was not sure how to respond to that. She was scared she would invite unwarranted wrath if she didn't. So she simply nodded her head, crying a river. She missed Riven. She might have felt torn between them. But not anymore. She could never love someone so crazy inside his head. He was a beast! She wanted to escape. But she was scared even to do that.
"Tonight! You save yourself for me! I will come for you. I have arranged everything." Levi looked at her with icy-cold eyes. He was not going to entertain anything other than a yes. So Ella found herself nodding her head even without realizing it. She didn't mean it. She would never let Levi touch her again. She would rather die. He was a crazy man.
"Good girl!" He grinned. Girl? What? Not once in his life had he treated her well. What was she expecting?
"Do you know how much I have waited for you? I would have gone mad if someone else had you before me. I am sorry if you were scared. But you make me go crazy, Ella. It is your fault." Levi was suddenly again caring and attentive. He crouched, caressing her cheeks and wiping her tears. He comforted her and hugged her.
How could someone change so quickly? Ella wondered, overcoming her shock and still processing everything. Was he bipolar? And what nonsense was he speaking? It was her fault. How? What did she do to invite any of the things she had faced while growing up in this pack? She hated everything about it. For a moment, she had forgotten. She was glad about what had just happened between them. It was an eye-opener. She looked at Levi in disbelief.
"You are mine, Ella. I will never let any man have you." Levi kissed her forehead against her will. But she couldn't stop him, even if she was shaking from anxiety and fear. She would rather die than have him have her.
She does not belong to him. She will never be his! Never!
