Immediately I felt so out of place, like my presence here was a huge overstepping. And I know it was in some way, after all I'm the reason her only son is in that hospital bed. She has every right to hate me, to scream at me, to even throw a punch or a few, and whatever she decides to do I would take it gladly. I deserve all of her rage.
She slowly started coming my way and I awkwardly stood up letting go of Ink's hand preparing myself for a slap. But it never came.
