The Shameless Wards

Eric’s POV

He looked at the Wards Family, who had the audacity to talk to his mate in such a way, in his own house. He was extremely angry and was trying to control himself. His wolf was trying to surface, and once he was out Eric wouldn’t be able to control him. He clenched his hands and tried to control his wolf.

Secretly he glanced at Jessica, who was gawking at him. He had a sudden urge to laugh at her reaction. She was truly shocked to see him here. But, he didn’t understand. Hadn’t he asked Robert to contact her?

But he had to first get justice for his beloved mate. He glared at Mr. Wards and then at the audacious Bella. But the one to speak was Mrs. Wards.

“How dare you say that? You promised my daughter to marry her, gave her that betrothal necklace, and now you want to go back on your words? Huh? I never thought that the almighty Collins were so despicable.”

“Mrs. Wards are you trying to say that I gave Bella the necklace and promised to marry her?” Eric asked in a very dangerously calm tone.

Seeing that Eric was asking her this, Mrs. Wards became more furious and confident. She looked at Bella, who was sitting beside her with her eyes down and her husband was just glaring at her. Mrs. Wards didn’t care about anything. She wanted justice for her daughter and to get her married into a rich family, to save her pride.

“Mr. Collins, was there anything wrong in what I said? My daughter saved you at a very critical time. I just want you to take responsibility for the same.” Mrs. Wards angrily said these words and glared at Eric.

Eric looked once at Mrs. Wards and then at Jessica. Jessica looked as if she was calm and unbothered. Nevertheless, he could feel her nervousness and fear from the mate bond. Speaking of the mate bond. Where was his mating mark?

The mating mark was supposed to be on her neck, he knew he had marked her and also felt it. It was impossible for the mark to disappear. The disappearance of the mark caused more discomfort to him and his mood plummeted. His wolf was trying to surface again. He wanted to mark his mate again and show the whole world that she was his.

But, he calmed him down by thinking he had an eternity with Jessica.

Roberts’s POV

Robert was confused, what was going on?

Eric's lips tightened, his aura had totally changed to a dangerous and cold one. His now cold and dark eyes, laced with anger were directed to Robert. He had clearly ignored the Wards and was now looking at him and asking for an explanation. He felt a shiver run down his body. He knew that he was going to suffer his Boss’s wrath now.

“Robert!” Eric whisper yelled at him.

Before he could answer, Mrs. Wards beat him to it.

“Yes ask him! He was the one who told us everything and invited us here. If I knew it was just a trap to insult us and defame my daughter, I would never have agreed to any of this.” Mrs. Wards said in an accusing manner, glaring at both him and Eric.

It was Eric’s turn to glare at her again, but then he shifted his gaze back to Robert. He could visibly notice Eric’s anger by the way he was clenching his hands. His wolf was about to unleash his anger, and his own was submitting to his Alpha’s will, whining in his mind asking him to give into the Alpha’s wishes.

“Sir, you asked me to find Mrs. Collins, by the clues you gave me. According to that I went to the place of the crash and saw Miss. Wards there, rummaging around. I asked her and she gave an affirmative answer to the identity of being Mrs. Collins. Also, I asked for the memento that you gave and she told me she did have it and will show it today when she came here to meet Grandma Collins.” He had said this in a single breath, without stopping.

But he didn’t forget to mind link him and tell the full story too. “” Alpha, Bella, had your scent on her and all the clues indicated that she was indeed the girl you wanted to find me. It was all a misunderstanding.”” (Mind link conversations will be mentioned in “”)

“Okay, Robert. Now Ms. Wards, can you tell me the truth now? Because I don’t know who you are and the girl who actually saved me is Jessica. So can you come out clean and clear the misunderstanding?” Eric said in a flat tone.

Robert was shocked to see his Boss’s calm attitude. It was really an eye-opener for him that Alpha King Eric Collins could rein in his anger too. Towards this, he could only thank his Luna Queen, Jessica Eric Collins.

Eric’s POV

After he asked the question, Bella could only stutter

“I…I…Mr. Collins….”

“What is with this behavior? Why are you forcing my daughter like this?” Before Bella could finish, Mrs. Wards interrupted.

Eric was already very much angered, he so wanted to be done with this nonsense and go spend some time with his cute little mate. He almost lost control, but Jessica’s smell kept his wolf and him in check and he could muster up some semblance of calm and solve this.

He didn’t want his beloved mate to be questioned about this.

“You have the memento, show it to me now,” he ordered the shameless Mrs. Wards.

“Yes, we can show it to you, Come on Bella, take out the damn necklace and show it to him!” Mrs. Wards was literally screaming in anger now. She expected Bella to bring out the necklace, but Bella looked at her guiltily and shook her head.

“Mom, the necklace is with Jessica.” She answered meekly.

“Outrageous! This little b***h stole the necklace from my daughter to marry rich. The poor orphan girl wants to…..” SLAP.

Everyone was shocked to see this. Before Mrs. Wards could complete her sentence she was slapped by him. How dare she say such a thing about his mate.

“I bore with your nonsense now, to clear Jessica’s name but I don’t need you to do it anymore.”

He looked everyone in the eyes and continued.

“Jessica is the person who saved me then, and she is my wife. I won’t accept anyone insulting her or defaming her.”

He said in a very low voice, he almost growled but calmed himself down in a short time.

“Also, Ms. Wards this is the first time we are meeting, kindly don’t spread rumors about us or my Jessica. I hope you remember this or don’t blame me for being ruthless towards your family business.” With this being said, he signaled the guards to take the shameless family away and elegantly took a seat beside his little mate.

Now he could finally take care of his mate and spend some time with her. But before they could say or do anything, another tragedy had befallen on them. Grandma Collins suddenly fainted…..
