"That little talk of his with Nicholai must be so interesting that it made him join Nicholai for dinner," Jasser says once they're all together in the car.
And honestly, Jasser had been nagging him about how careless he was going with Nicholai that night, even if it was only dinner. Jasser took his role as his guy best friend seriously, and he was starting to regret it.
"What are you upset about, Jass? Didn't we both want her to start a new beginning and move on from that duke?" Cynthia took off her sunglasses and sided with him.
Sticking his tongue out to Jasser, he clung his hands to Cynthia's arms and rested his head on her shoulders. They were all up for the vacation Jasser had told him about the other day, and now they were in Florida on the way to Jasser's cousin's place.
