“You looked bothered and distracted. Is everything alright?” Cynthia placed the bowl of popcorn on the table once she arrived from the kitchen. On the other hand, Isabella occasionally would glance at her phone, then sigh as her brows slightly furrowed. It’s the same scenario Cynthia has witnessed since they finished eating dinner. “Nicholas hasn’t reached out to you yet?” She added. “No, not even a message from him. He told me he’d be here before dinner, but no sign of him. You didn’t think something happened, yeah?” Turning to her, she asked. “I’m starting to get worried. That was unlikely of him.” Cynthia pulled her hands and tapped them, smiling at her while chewing. “Relax. Give him a few more minutes. It must have been hard to deal with their matters, and you should know that.”
