The first thing she opened her eyes to when morning came, Cynthia was nowhere to be found. Her bed next to her was already empty and cold. A pile of Cynthia's clothes was scattered out of her luggage and remained open on the sofa. She must have been so excited that she forgot the narrator was only two meters away from her bed, still sleeping. Lightly shaking her head, she noticed the room's tidiness. Everything was well-prepared and organized, except for Cynthia's things. She rolled out of bed and picked up some of the clothes Cynthia had dropped on the floor.
