It has been over a week after Chris's death, Daniel and Tammy along with Candy had to bury him by themselves not involving the cops as Daniel was against it and want to make the investigations himself.
Daniel's mum have been discharged from the hospital and Tammy has fully recovered from her brother's death shock though she couldn't stop thinking of him since she misses him and how they would always argue, She was looking after their mother as she haven't regain her memory of her seeing Chris in a pool of blood but both Daniel and Tammy want to be by her side anytime she remember and their mother won't stop asking of Chris, all they told her was giving her excuses anytime she ask.
"Mum, I prepared lunch", Tammy said as she entered their mum bedroom.
"Okay, I will be right there", She replied and Tammy went out of her room.
"Where is Daniel", She asked Tammy as she get to the dinning area.
"I don't know, probably with his friend, Candy", Tammy replied swallowing the food in her mouth.
"Wait, are you sure that girl is his friend", Her mother ask.
"Yes, they both told me they are friends but trust me mum, they are more than friends", Tammy said smiling.
"Okay, just don't pry too much into their relationship alright", Her mother told her.
"Okay, No talking while eating, this food is delicious, I never know I can cook this well", Tammy said praising herself.
"Stop flattering yourself ", Her mother said laughing "Have you called Chris today", She suddenly ask which makes Tammy stop eating.
"Hmmm, Mum.. I... I.... mmm.. I.. ", Tammy couldn't make a sentence.
"Why are you stammering, Tammy I can feel you and Daniel are keeping something from me, Ever since I return from the hospital, I have not set my eyes on my son and I can feel you both are lying to me and also you told me I collapsed at work and I was rushed to the hospital but everything seems like an absolute lie to me, Tammy what is going on please", She said looking straight into her eyes.
"Mum, nothing is going on, Chris is fine and we are not keeping anything from you or lying to you, Please just eat your food", Tammy said assuring her mum hoping it would convince her.
"Tammy, it is either you bring out your phone and let me talk to Chris or you tell me what you and Daniel is keeping from me, I'm your mother and I have every right to know where Chris is", She said raising her voice slightly.
"This is not good", Tammy muttered.
"What are you doing, bring out your phone", She shouted.
"Okay, mum let's finish eating then you can talk to Chris okay", Tammy said looking at her mother.
"What_", Before she could finish her statement, there was a knock on the door which makes Tammy become so tense as Daniel have told her not go open the door to anyone except him and beside the gate was locked, "How did the person knocking get access to enter", She thought.
"I will get it", Her mother said going towards the door.
"Mum, wait", Tammy shouted but it was too late as her mum already opened the door.
"Who are you and what do you want", She asked as she opened the door to see strange men in black.
But they didn't say anything and just enter the house, Tammy immediately ducked under the table since she was so frightened, quickly bringing out her phone and start calling Chris but couldn't get through.
"I said who are you, you can't just badge into another person house like you own it, it is not done", Her mother shouted.
Tammy could hear her mother arguing with the men and become more frightened as her mother won't stop shouting, suddenly she heard a gunshot and her body become numb.
Daniel just finish his class and was on his way out, and suddenly heard his name being called and Candy running towards him, he suddenly didn't feel right as he sees her expression.
"What's wrong", He asked as Candy get to him.
"Let's go", Candy said pulling him.
"What is wrong with you", Daniel said as he was being pulled by Candy.
"Your mum, she was shot and was rushed to the hospital", Candy said as they reach her car.
"What! ", Daniel shouted.
"Tammy called me and she tried your number but was not going through", Candy told him "Let's just go."
They quickly get into the car and Candy drive as fast as she could to the hospital.
Daniel could not wait for Candy to park well and quickly rushed out of the car rushing into the hospital as Candy called out to him running after him. As he entered the hospital, he saw Tammy who was sitting and crying profusely and quickly went to her.
"Daniel", Tammy stand up as she sees her brother hugging him.
"Where is mum", Daniel asked.
"Mum is in the ICU, it's my fault, if I didn't hide to call you, this wouldn't have happened", Tammy said blaming herself.
"No, stop saying that okay", Candy said sitting her down "Can you tell us what happened."
"We were eating lunch and mum ask of Chris again saying we were keeping things from her, I was trying to convince her since she was getting annoyed until we heard a knock on the door."
"But I told you not to open the door for anyone", Daniel shouted interrupting her.
"I didn't, Mum did before I could stop her and those men came, I don't even know how they came in when the gate was locked and immediately I was trying your number but couldn't get through and Mum was getting angry at them and shouting at them for badging in and the next thing I heard was gun shot, I'm so sorry Daniel", Tammy said crying.
"What the f**k is going on", Daniel shouted.
"Please just calm down", Candy told him.
"Don't you f*****g tell me to calm down, My mum was f*****g shot and is in the ICU and you are telling me to calm down", Daniel snapped shouting at Candy
Just as Candy want to talk back the doctor came out.
"Mrs Adams family", The doctor said looking at their direction.
"Yes", Daniel quickly move closer to him as Tammy stand up and Candy.
"How's my mum", Daniel asked.
"Is my mum alright", Tammy asked as she was so tense and the next thing she heard almost made her lose her mind.
"I'm sorry_"
