Chapter 16

Celine POV

I woke up from the ray of light coming from the window, I’m about to adjust the curtain which I forgot to do last night when I felt Blake’s arm tighten its hug and caress my tummy with his hand. I can feel his ring’s coldness when the metal touches my skin and that makes me check at my own finger where I have the other pair same as his. I smiled thinking that it all seems like a fairytale but same as other fairytales we ended up being together, I just hope that this new chapter in our story stays and last happily.

I just couldn’t believe that I am a legitimate Anderson now, but the fear is still there. Anticipating the coming conflict in our family. How are we going to deliver the news in our family without making them freak out? And the thought of our parents, they will surely get mad at the secret wedding that we did and the untimely pregnancy that becomes the reason of the rush preparation.

Knowing our mom who’s highly valuing the sanctity of marriage and being a conservative type of a person, for sure that we’ll hear an earshot from her the moment she knew about these. It’s like everything is coming into my realization now. The consequences of all our unplanned decisions and actions. I can’t help but release a sigh that made Blake stir at the bed.

“What’s bothering you love? It’s like you’re in a deep thinking.” He said while sniffing the crook of my neck.

“I’m just getting worried, now everything is sinking in my brain. We’re doomed! How are we going to break the news to our family?” I asked sounding totally upset and leaning my head to his.

“Aren’t we suppose to enjoy our time being newlywed first and have our honeymoon somewhere that we could both relax? Stop overthinking sweetie, it’s not good for our baby and I’m pretty sure that you know that. Don’t stress yourself over things that you shouldn’t be worrying. I’m here and whatever happens we’ll overcome it together.” He said hugging and stroking my hair to make me feel secure.

“I know you won’t leave me hanging.” I replied, agreeing to him.

“So now let’s pack things and keep moving. We have a flight after six hours and we couldn’t be late with our trip.” He informed and jump out of the bed.

“Where are we going?” I asked confused.

“We’ll be going to Hawaii for our honeymoon wifey.” He said and start getting our luggage and pack the things we needed for our trip.

We travel for almost eleven hours going to Hawaii, we reached our destination almost evening. Blake just order foods to be deliver at our rented villa. We decided to just skip checking the place for tonight because the long flight makes me feel so tired. Blame it all in my pregnancy, I easily get tired and the feeling of laziness keeps on winning over me.

Morning came too quick but you wouldn’t regret waking up early with the view that almost take your breath away. Sound of soft waves will give calmness and chilly wind breeze makes you feel refreshed. Breakfast was served in a breath taking view and the smell of foods makes me crave to eat more.

“Eat well my love, I can see how you are loving your meal.” Blake commented that makes me feel a bit embarrass.

“I guess I’m really hungry and baby is craving for all these sumptuous dishes too.” I replied and earn a loud laugh from him.

“What?” I asked innocently.

“Nothing my wife, just eat all you wanted and enjoy.” He said while continuing eating his food.

After breakfast, we decided to take a town tour to see what souvenir we can bring back to New York. We visit every stalls and stores where we check some of their native products. I saw a green Hawaiian dress that flows perfectly, I asked the saleslady to usher me in the fitting room so I can check if it will fit perfectly for me. I told Blake that I will fit the dress for a while so that he would be aware of my whereabouts.

After fitting the dress and decided to purchase it I saw Blake in one corner of the store talking to two women. Seems like they recognized him being an Anderson, well who will not be? I’m about to reach their spot when I hear the other girl asking Blake who is he accompanying here at girl’s store and I didn’t expect his answer that he is just accompanying his sister buying some stuffs.

It’s like a big blow for me to address as a sister again by him, he put his hands inside his pocket for them not to see his wedding ring too. Is he for real? Talking all sweet to me, reassuring that we will face everyone as husband and wife and now hearing him talking to those girls and labeling me as a sister. My mood got ruined and I cancel purchasing the dress that I’m about to buy.

I discreetly exited at the store door and walk as far as I can. I didn’t want him to see me walking away and tell alibis and lies. A lot of things going in my head and I just wanted to runaway somewhere that he wouldn’t find me. I turned off my phone for him not to contact me. I went inside a restaurant where I can stay to calm myself for a while. I can’t think straight right now and my jealousy is eating me.

I search for my passport and other important stuffs in my bag and I have it all kept inside. I wanted to go and leave this place instantly, I’ll just leave my other things that we brought going here and just runaway back in New York. I ordered something for lunch and I eat first before I took a cab and head to the airport.

Good thing that I’ve got an available ticket and I just need to wait for my flight schedule time. I thought that I will enjoy this trip but didn’t expect that we’re just starting and yet he got the nerve to lie about me. I know he must be searching for me now, it’s almost three hours since I left him in that store he might not even aware that I’m already missing in the first half hour.

Two hours left and I’ll be boarding soon, I closed my eyes for a while and lean my back to relax. I felt like the seat next to me is being occupied by now but I didn’t bother to check. I just hear a loud sigh beside me and that’s the time that I open my eyes only to see Blake looking pale and sweating sitting next to me.

“You won’t escape me that easily baby.” He said panting a little and that’s where I recognized that there were a policemen too that came along with Blake to search for me.
