Her secret box

Narrator---

“I am sorry Sis! But you will have to find out yourself!” my brother, Neilson said and wrapping his hand around Juliana’s waist, pulled her away.

A smile spread across Alicia’s face as she narrated her and her Mr Devil’s story to Mrs Cooper! She had fed him medicine and while he was asleep, Alicia sat on a chair near the bed and just opposite to her was a hanging balcony through which she could see the sun setting at the horizon where the sea and the sky had mixed together! It was as if they were lovers who after the long day end embraced each other and became one!

She has finally opened her secret box of memories that she had carefully hidden inside her, away from the prying world ready to give their judgements on what she should and shouldn’t do! Till a few months after the accident, Alicia has cried and shown her open wounded heart to her friends and family but soon she realised that the feelings and the memories were only hers to feel and only hers to live, and hence she buried them so deep inside that only she could peep in whenever she wanted!

“That moment when I came to know that Mr Devil was not my brother Neilson but actually someone else with whom I have been chatting online for months, it brought a new hope! I, who thought have lost all hopes of falling in love again and ever finding a happy ending, felt as if I was gifted a new life again! A new hope! A hope that my Mr Devil was real and I will definitely find him soon!”

Alicia kept staring at the now dark blue sky and dived in the ocean of her past memories, and it only brought a beautiful and peaceful smile on her face!

“That night I sat alone in my room and opened my laptop. I logged in to Ana’s profile with the login Id and password. You know Mrs Cooper, Juliana that is Aana, was my best friend and she still is, even though she is married to my brother.

When I opened Ana’s profile I saw a new message for me!”

(Nearly four years ago at the night of Neilson’s and Juliana’s marriage)

Narrator--

“Hi Wild cat! Missed me?” ---- JDS

Alicia typed several messages but couldn’t send any of them!    

“Ummm….how to start a conversation after so many months!!” she mumbled to herself.

She typed…

“Hi Mr Devil! How are you doing? Please call me ASAP. Need to talk! My number is xxxx65xxx” --- J WC

“No! This is so not the one I want to write!” Saying this Alicia deleted the text message and typed again!

“Hi Mr Devil! Did you dance with me at the party?” --- J WC

“Duh! This one is even worse! Of course it was him! Who else it would be!” Saying this Alicia deleted the text message again and this time before she could write anything, a message popped up on her laptop!

“Does my wild cat need help in typing her message? I noticed she has been typing and deleting since sometime! I would love to help my feisty wild cat

Alicia blushed and frowned at the same time! She was happy that Mr Devil wrote to her but at the same time she frowned about how over confident and egoistic the man was! She immediately typed without thinking much..

“Yes, I was trying to write the appropriate adjective for a man who just comes to a party like a ghost and disappears like a ghost! And on top of that he thinks that I will be even interested to find him! Huh! What do you suggest should be the right adjective for such an overconfident man? Moron? Or Asshole?” --- : ( WC

A message almost immediately popped up….

“Charming, handsome and a gentleman, my love!” --

Alicia rolled her eyes and scoffing alone, she typed..

“Overconfident and egoistic! Well, I just wanted to write that if you think I am dying to meet you then you are wrong and I am not interested to find you at all! And by the way, this account was never mine and I know that your account was never yours, so I guess…. I don’t have to find you at all!” --- :/ WC

Almost immediately she wrote again..

“Well, if you wish to know me…..you can find me out! Bye!”  ---- ;) WC

Alicia waited for sometime but there was no reply. She bit her finger nails in anxiety! Why didn’t he reply? Did she just write too much?? She was just thinking whether to write back or not when the person started typing again… and soon another message popped up.

“I already know you wild cat! In fact I am right now looking at your button nose in a picture of you and your best friend! So, I have found you and can reach you anytime! But you need to find me if you can though….by the way I am difficult to find! Till then I can help you with hints on our chats if you need help and request me to!”  ---- ;) DS

Soon another message popped up.

“And sweetheart, you should be on bed now! You have to resume your classes tomorrow. Wish you all the best for your search, though I know you can never find me! Good night dear! Sleep well and don’t blush so much thinking about me! ” -- J DS

Alicia bit her lips and already was blushing reading his text but of course she won’t admit and hence she wrote..

“Hahaha! I think you need some serious repair of your brain Mr Devil! Good night and no I won’t think about you! I never actually do!” ---- :(WC

With that she simply shut her laptop as she heard footsteps approaching her bedroom door and soon the door opened and Juliana walked in!

“Hi Ali! I hope I am not disturbing you?” Juliana supressed a smile on seeing the laptop on her bed.

“Ummm..no An! I was checking on an assignment.” Alicia lied.

“Oh! So, I won’t take much time. I just wanted to see if you are ok and also thought I would help you if you need!” Juliana said chuckling lightly.

“Help? Regarding what?” Alicia furrowed her eyebrows!

“You know what I am talking about! I can request Neil to help you deal with your love life and your secret lover!” Juliana now chortled.

Alicia rolled her eyes and said with a straight face, “No need! If he doesn’t want to meet me, why would I be so interested to meet him! And no way, I am asking help from Neil who refused me in the first place!” Alicia sat crossing her arms on her chest.

“Ok. As you wish. But let me know if you need help.” Saying this Juliana walked out but she again peeped inside and said, “Well, there is someone else who can definitely help you! He is good in mystery solving and investigations! He is even better than your brother Neil.” Juliana suggested.

“Who?” Alicia almost jumped on her bed on her knees and asked with wide eyes.

“You know who!” Juliana smirked.

Alicia scoffed and rolled her eyes, “Huh! Mr Duffer, Arrogant and smug face??? No way!” She fell back on the bed, covering herself with the duvet. Juliana chuckled and said, “Good night Ali, and think what I said. Either him who is just a bit arrogant or your brother Neilson who would probably tease you for the rest of your life!”

“Ok. Good Night An! And don’t rush to get up in the morning! Keep yourself busy with the love of your life!” Alicia shouted from her room and switched off the light.

“I will find you Mr Devil and when I do you will know what I am and who I am!” She whispered and chuckled under the duvet before closing her eyes for a good night’s sleep!
