chapter 4

The next following day, I woke up and hurried up and got to the bathroom before Bella did. When I left my room, I peeked into Bella's room and she was still asleep, thank god. So I went into the bathroom and took a quick shower.

After I shaved and washed my hair and body, I got out and wrapped a towel around my body and my hair. Then went into Bella's room to get dressed. When I shut the door, Bella rolled over and looked at me.

"What time is it?" She asked.

I looked around the room for the her alarm clock. "Its quarter after 6." I said.

"Oh god, why didn't you wake me? Do I have enough time to take a shower?"

"Bells, school don't start til 8. You have enough time to take a shower." I said as I went to the closet and pulled out my dress that I picked out last night with my knee high boots. "We even have time to find something to eat downstairs too if you hurry." I brought up as I went to the dresser to get my bra and underwear.

Bella nodded, got up, and left the room. As I was getting dressed, I heard Charlie walk up the stairs to go to his room to get ready for work.

About 15 minutes later Bella came into the room, wrapped in towel. She went to the closet and found something warm to wear today.

As I was already dressed, I brushed my hair then put it half up, and what was hanging/left down I scrunched it to make it look wavey. Once both Bella and I were done, I grabbed my leather jacket and backpack and ran downstairs.

"Good morning girls." Charlie had said making a cup of coffee.

"Morning dad." We said together.

I went over to him and kissed his cheek. "Sleep okay on the couch?"

"Yeah," he said as he took a sip of his coffee.

"You sure? I don't mind sleeping with Bella."

"Yeah, its fine. I'll let you know when want to sleep in there." He said.

I nodded and made me a bowl of cereal. Bella done the same. We all sat at the table as we ate. Charlie read the newspaper and drunk his coffee. Before we know it, it was time for all of us to go.

"Do you mind, if I drive to school as I put my jacket on?"

Sure, I don't care." Bella said as she took the keys off the hook and threw them at me.

"Have a nice day at school girls." Charlie yelled out as we walked out the door.

"You too at work." I yelled back.

As we got to the truck, I started it up and let it warm up for a second then backed out of the driveway. As I made my way towards the school, the heat was warm about halfway there. And thank god because my legs and hands were cold.

"Why did you even wear that, if you knew it was cold?" Bella asked.

"Because I wanted to be cute on the 1st day. Plus its somewhat warm. Just what skin is showing is cold." I had said.

"Just hope you can wear that?"

"And why not?"

"Because that dress could be too short or inappropriate for school."

"Please, its not short and there's no skin showing really. Girls back home was wearing this at school. Bet there's girls here wearing it too." I said. "Plus its cute." I whined.

Bella chuckled then shook her head.

As I pulled up, I found a spot for us to park next to some cars where there was some kids standing around talking. Some of the girls there, well wasn't dressed like I thought they would. I looked over at Bella and she smirked. I just rolled my eyes at her then turned the truck off.

The truck back fired.

"Great." I muttered as I opened my door.

I grabbed my bag and hopped out of the truck. Some of the guys that were standing around whistled at me. I started blushing.

"Nice truck." A dark boy with braids had said.

"Thanks." I said as I walked around to meet up with Bella.

She just chuckled as she slung her arm over my shoulder. We walked into school and went to where the office was and got our schedules, our lockers, a map of the school, and a piece of paper for the teachers to sign. Which is really stupid.

As the bell has rung, we went our way to our 1st class. Bella was a jr and I was a sophomore doing jr classes. Guessing they got my transcript from my old school.

As we were walking and looking at our maps, a boy had walked over to us. Eyeing me mostly but didn't say anything.

"Y'all are Isabella and Kathleen Swan? The new girls?"

"Bella." "Kat." We said at the same time.

"But yes, we're new." I added.

"Hi, well I'm Eric. The eyes and ears of this place. Anything you need, tour guide, lunch date, a shoulder to cry on." He had said.

Bella and I looked at each other than looked back at him. Like was he serious for real. Weird kid but I guess he'll do for now, I guess.

"Well I'm kinda a suffer in silence type." Bella has said.

"Don't listen to my sister."

"Good headline for the feature. I'm on the paper, and you're news baby, front page." Eric had said moving his hands in the air like he was visualizing in his head.

"No, I'm not news. Please don't." Bella cried.

"Bella, I'm pretty sure he's playing with you. Right?" I asked.

"Yea, chillax, no feature."

"Sorry, I'm just not a big fan of being all out there."

"Hell, I don't care. But don't want to be out there right now either." I said.

Eric nodded as we all went to 1st period. As we all walked together, a lot of people were staring at us. I don't know if they are staring at me because what I'm wearing or at both of us because we're new.

When we got to the class room, Eric went to his seat and both Bella and I went to the teacher to get our paper signed. When he signed it, he handed us our books and told us to find a seat.

Bella and I went to the back of the class room and sat down and went to the page that the teacher had written on the board. As I started to read what it was, to get a head in English, before the teacher started the class.

"This is gonna be fun." I murmured to Bella.

"Yep. I'll help you out. English is my favorite." Bella said. "Still can't believe they let you keep the jr classes here."

"Yeah me too. But I have a few sophomore classes though. Instead of trigonometry like you, I have algebra. I took Spanish last year though but didn't get a good grade, so I'm taking it again. And you have biology 2 where I have biology 1. I failed that last year so I have to retake that." I told her.

"Fun, do you have gym?"

"No, art." I said. "We only have English, government, and lunch together. I have English, government, Algebra, biology 1, lunch, art then Spanish." I said.

"I have English, government, trigonometry, Spanish, lunch, biology 2 then gym. I'm gonna die in gym." Bella said.

"No, your not."

"Have you seen me in gym."

"No, but still."

As Mr. Mason, called class to order, he talked about what we were gonna do today.

About 25 minutes or so, he had read about a chapter or two and addressed to us that for our homework, write down what we think what the two chapters had met. I shook my head and Bella giggled. When the bell rung, we went to our next class. And like before, everyone stared along the hallway. Saw some talk among themselves still looking at us.

When we got to government, like before, had teacher sign our papers and told us to take a book off the back table and take a seat. There wasn't a seat next to each other but I was okay with it.

I sat next to a girl that was filing her nails and chewing gum. She looked up when I sat next to her. I smiled and she did too.

I took a deep breath and sat back in my chair and waited for the lesson to start and get over with.

Bella turned around and looked back at me. She smiled a little and I just rolled my eyes.

'I'm sorry.' She mouth at me.

'No your not.' I mouth back at her.

She turned around when the teacher spoke. He told the class that they got two new students and pointed to each one of us when he said our names. The one boy from this morning that said 'nice truck', was in this class. He was staring really hard at me and even winked at me.

I huffed and rolled my eyes at him. The girl next to me looked at me when I huffed.

"That's Tyler. Don't mind him. He tries to flirt with every girl here." She had said.

"Oh goodie." I said sarcastic.

"Kathleen right?" She asked.

"Kat, but yes."

"Well Kat, I'm Britney. But you can call me Brit."

"Cool, nice to meet you." I said as I took off my jacket.

"Cute dress. Where did you get it?"

"Umm, the mall in Phoenix." I said.

"Oh right, I forgot you and your sister," she said pointing at Bella. "Came from there. Shouldn't y'all be much darker?" She asked.

I looked over at my sister and she was pale. Where me, I was much darker than her.

"Bella, she didn't get out a lot there. But me, I tried to get what I could." I had said.

She hummed then went back to her nails.

After class was over, I hurried up and went to the bathroom before my next class. When I went into the bathroom, there was a few girls in there washing up. One was fixing her hair and makeup.

She was cute, long blonde hair, and pale as Bella. And a girl next to her pale as her with short dark hair, talking to her quietly.

"Hi," I said as I walked passed them to go to the stall.

"Hi," the short dark hair girl had said.

After I got done peeing, I washed my hands and fixed my hair a little. The girls were still in there.

"Cute dress." The short dark hair girl said.

"Thanks." I said smiling at her.

"Your Kat right?" She had said.

"Yeeah. How did you,"

"Know. Well everyone is talking about two new girls today. And you look like a Kat to me."

"Oh, of course they are." I muttered lowly. Then the bell rung. "Shit." I said as I ran out.

"Bye." She had said.

When I finally got to my next class. The teacher wasn't even in there yet thank god. I found a desk and sat down.

Once the teacher came in, she started her lesson and the class was over before you know it. My next class happened to be fast as well, which was a good thing. I was ready to go home.

As I went to find my locker, Bella had found me with a boy following her.

"Kat!" She called out.

"Hey, so you found your locker?"

"Yeah, I thought since I had lunch now, I could put my books and bag in here now."

"Oh cool, I found mine by my last class." She said then looked over at the boy. "Oh this is Mike by the way. Mike, this is my sister, Kat."

"Hi." We both said waving at each other.

We walked towards the cafè to get some food. As well got our food, we followed Mike towards a table. The boy from this morning was sitting there talking to a table full of girls.

"Hey, Bella Kat, you made it." Eric had said.

"Oh you know my home girls Bella and Kat huh?"

"My girls." A boy had said as he kissed both of cheeks then took the chair that Mike was gonna sit in and ran.

Mike ran after him as both Bella and I sat down.

"Wow, looks like your Tyler's new shiny toys." A girl had said.

"Yeah, gross." I had said.

The same girl next to me laughed. "I'm Jessica by the way."

"Hi." I said.

"I'm Angela." Another girl had said as she took our picture. "New picture for the feature."

"Please don't." Bella had said.

"Feature dead, Angela. I got your back baby." Eric said as he patted Bella on the shoulder then left.

"Oh, I'm sorry."

"No, it fine."

"I guess I'll have to find something else."

"You could do epilepsy or speedo on this swim team or something like that." Bella said.

"How about style." I said as I stood up and posed for her.

"Oh my god yes. God that dress is so cute." She said as she took a few pictures of me.

As she was doing that some kids came walking passed. They were all pale. I remembered seeing two of them from the bathroom.

"Who are they?" Bella asked as I slowly sat down.

"That would be the Cullen's." Jessica had said. "The hot long blonde girl is Rosalie Hale, her twin brother that looks like he's hurting, Jasper Hale, the big buff guy is Emmett Cullen, the short dark hair girl is Alice Cullen."

"Who's he?" Bella asked.

A reddest brown hair boy walked passed us. He smiled a little before going to sit by the rest of the Cullen's.

"That would be Edward Cullen. Totally gorgeous, obviously. But no one here is good enough for him." Jessica saying, sounding jealous that he won't date her. "Their like together, together though." She said.

"Wait what?" I asked choking on my food.

"Jess, their not related." Angela told her then looked at Bella and me. "Dr. and Mrs. Cullen adopted them when they were in Alaska a few years ago." She said. "Which they would adopted me." She said.

"Its weird though. They live together and their together. I wouldn't be able to do that." Jessica had said.

"Eh, this is a weird world we live in, so who knows anymore." I had said. "I met the two girls earlier when I was in the bathroom. The one name Alice right?" I asked. Jess nodded. "She talked to me. It was like she knew who I was." I said as I looked at her.

The reddest brown hair one, Edward I think looked at her. No more like glared at her. That was kinda rude of him. Like they were arguing but wasn't talking.

"Really, she talked to you." Angela said.

"Yeah, she said I had a cute dress. Which I thanked her. I mean, we are the talk of the school. Everyone was looking at us when we came in this morning."

"More like looking at you." Bella had said.

I slapped her.

"Ow," she said.

I stuck my tongue out at her.

Was it weird about them dating and living. I mean, eventually once people date for awhile they move in but I kinda agree with Jessica. But its not my business.
