CHAPTER 2 – Troublemakers to the Weekend

Aileen’s POV

“How dare that f*cking b*tch touch our mate? I will rip the s*ut into tiny parts and taste the flesh” It was my wolf Akira.

When we saw him, this formal conversation happened every morning between her and me.

He was our mate! Leon Ramirez, the school's playboy, the poor boys' torturer, and the weakness of all the sl*ts in Warlington High. I

dropped my sister at school every day, and this blood-boiling scene was ruining my day as usual. I squeezed the steering wheel from my palms and gave Leon a death glare.

I know that he feels me. He feels our mate bond. It’s not new for the humans and wolves of this Warlington town to be mates. It happens, and they live happily. The bitter past was over; the humans and wolves lived happily. The high schools also enrolled wolf kids; they treat us like humans. The law was fair for everyone.

We all know we had a bitter past because of the wolf hunters. Many years ago, we were hunted by the werewolf hunters of the town. In the beginning, the humans gathered with hunters and chased us, but later when the hunters showed their true colors, humans and wolves kicked them out of the town. The hunters vanished from the city a long time ago.

“Why the f*ck aren’t you doing anything, Aileen? You allow the b*tches to touch our mate” Akira was badly fuming with rage. I clenched my jaw while giving a death glare on Leon. He was frozen in his place; he was lost. His hazel eyes were focused on me.

“That fool feels us but still ignores us and licks other p*ssies” I am pissed to the end, but still, we have to respect the mutual understanding between humans and us. That tiny thread stops me from ripping all the sl*ts he touches.

“Well, neither you claim him, nor you don’t allow others to touch him. Why don’t you express your feelings on him, Aileen?” Akira gently asked.

“How the hell can I ask this playboy to be my mate? I am a Luna, and you know our duties for a pack. You tell me how this playboy will fulfill his duties as my mate? He was there when I shifted on my sixteenth birthday; this fool was just fourteen. Two years younger than me. He, his cousin, and my sister were in the same class in high school,” I mind-linked her.

“Then just reject him, Aileen,” she said.

It was easy to say, but rejecting your mate was the hardest thing a Wolfe’s life. It will rip us into parts, our soul will never heal, and our wolf will be silent for a few times, maybe forever. Besides, it’s a long process. We have to go to the council and do this officially, and the mate should also accept it.

Moreover, whatever I say, I accept Leon from the bottom of my heart. I was waiting patiently for him to understand the gravity of his role. No one can live forever as a playboy!

“Sis, you wanna come in” I was disturbed by Melina’s voice. She and Noah came to the vehicle, and I didn’t see them until they got closer.

“No thanks, I have some work to….”

“Let the Luna of the Night Walker pack go. She had many duties to fulfill; she had to take care of the pups of the pack members and do all the house chores. Imagine her face when she changed the babies’ diapers” It was the irritating Leon who was laughing coming towards me. His sarcasm never fades away.

“Leon, come on, bro, stop it. Respect her; she is playing a big role. You don’t understand….”

“Let it go, Noah; vagrants never understand the role of a responsible man or a woman. They know how to spend other’s pennies” I cut Noah in the middle and smirked at Leon, who was now giving me a death glare without his laugh.

Noah and Melina were looking at us with their hanged mouth shifting their gaze on Leon and me. I felt cruel happiness that I shut his damn mouth. Leon was fuming with rage, and his reddened eyes brought my soul peace.

“Looks like someone’s filthy mouth got shut,” I smirked.

“Aileen, that’s enough. Why are you guys fighting all the time?” Melina was trying her best to blow the steamy fire between us.

“I am not Melina; you heard who started it first. Tell him to keep his damn mouth shut” I turned the key on to start the car, but within a second, Leon came from the other side and pulled the key.

“Aileen, don’t test my patience. I am not doing anything to you because you are Melina’s sister, and Melina is my brother’s girlfriend” his face was leaned into the car, and he was now looking at me directly. He was gritting his teeth, and his face turned red because of the anger in his blood. His cheekbones were clenched, and his fingers were tightened on each other.

“I am so scared; please don’t bully me, Leon,” I said with a fake scared tone and facial expressions. He was more pissed now; he knew that I was taking him into a joke. A laugh burst from my mouth, but Leon was still looking at me without changing his expression. I have become an irritating personality to him now. I am 100% sure that he won’t do anything to me.

“Very funny, don’t laugh too much, Aileen, soon these cheerful eyes will swell with tears for my name” he leaned to my ear, which was enough to send waves of strange feeling down my body. The goosebumps covered my entire body, and my back hair stood with his hot breath fanned to my ear.

My core, don’t talk about it. You can imagine what has already happened between my legs. He was not closer this much before.

Was that a threat or a husky way to sexually irritate me?

“His scent was addictive, and his voice was seductive, Aileen. Why don’t we claim him as ours? You are such a fool, Aileen” Akira became restless after Leon’s too much closer behavior with us.

Why the hell would I cry for his name? After a few seconds, I realized what he said, and then he left me with a smirk and a wink.

“I should leave for my pack house,” I mumbled and saw Melina waving her hand from the side mirror until I disappeared on the road.

Leon was the perfect distraction for me to be upset for the day. I have work to do as the Luna of the pack. Suddenly my mobile rang. It was Dad!

“Yeah, Dad, morning!” I answered on my earpod.

“Good morning Aileen; hope you dropped Melina,” he said.

“I just dropped her and driving to the pack house” I took a turn, and there was a red light on the traffic light.

“Aileen, can you come to the Blue Moon pack house this weekend” Dad was too polite. This brought me a suspicious feeling.

“What is it, Dad? Is everything all right?” the red lights turned green, and I accelerated towards the pack house.

“Nothing serious, Aileen, we couldn’t meet after some time, and Mom was complaining that I left my two daughters there and didn’t even bother to look at them,” he said.

“Don’t worry, Dad. I will come with Melina; besides, she doesn’t have school to attend,” I replied, stopping in front of the pack house.

“Great, I will ask Mom to make your favorite food,” his voice was laced with happiness.

“Sure, Dad. I will be there before noon. See you, Dad,” saying I cut the call.

I am the Alpha’s daughter of the Blue Moon pack, and Dad wanted me to handle it after his retirement, but I decided to make a new pack and be the Luna to it. Why can only Alpha run a group? Who says that Lunas can’t do it? I challenged other Alphas and made my pack, the Night Walker pack. It was arduous for me to gather and establish members as a pack.

The pack comprises only 150 wolves, including 40 females and 60 males. The rest of the headcount includes pups. I had to agree with all the council conditions, and after signing an agreement, they permitted me to establish the pack.

I hear that they secretly speak about me not having a mate, they must be doubting the pack’s future, and they are worried about their pup’s future. No one knew that Leon was my mate. Moreover, I never told him he was my mate, but I know he feels the bond. My parents still think that I am mateless.

I asked Melina to come and stay with me so it was easy for her to travel to the high school, but Dad made me promise that I would take good care of her. Melina and Noah have been dating for the last two years; they are mates. I don’t have a problem with Noah. He was disciplined and kind. Responsible. But my question was why Leon couldn’t be like that. Though they are cousins, they have different characteristics.

But I’ve never seen Leon’s possessive eyes from anyone else; the only thing was that he was born to hide his feelings.

On Saturday

“Mel, we are getting late. Hurry up. I told you…” I was near the car, opening my side door and waiting until Melina came down. We are leaving for the Blue Moon pack, my dad’s pack. Before I completed my phrase, a bike stopped near me. It was so closer to me, and the wind brought me the same scent as my mate. My nostrils were filled with his calming scent.

Leon and Noah were on Leon’s bike and stopped an inch away from me!

I was surprised, and Leon looked at me with his hazel eyes.

“Noah seems like someone got a surprise early in the morning,” he said, removing his helmet and keeping it on the fuel tank, and leaning to the helmet.

“What the hell are you two doing here?” I folded my arms and said with an irritating tone.

“You should ask your sister” Leon’s voice was so deep, and his messy hair was enough to make my throat dry. I wanted to run my fingers through them.

“Noah, baby, you came” Melina ran into Noah’s arms.

“Melina, what the hell is this?” I asked.

“Aileen, just calm down, my sis. I ask them to join us. They are also leaving for the Blue Moon pack,” she said.

“What? No way, Melina. They are not coming with us,” I raised my voice.

“Aileen, please. You know that Noah was my mate, and I can’t live without a day seeing him. Please, Aileen,” she was begging me with her puppy eyes.

“No way, Melina, we don’t know why Dad asks us to come there. We can’t involve them. No means no, and get into the car” I opened the door and sat back on the driving seat.

“Aileen, I promise that we won’t cause you any trouble. Please, I can’t see Melina’s sad face” Noah came to me and leaned to the window. I looked at Melina above Noah’s shoulder. She was looking down with her long face. I understood that if we go without Noah, her face will be extended until we return.

“Fine, but only you can come. Not him,” I showed Leon and said.

“Sorry, my love, that can’t do. I have to come with you three because aunt trusts me, and she permitted because I asked; sorry to disappoint you,” Leon was overconfident.

“Melina, I am telling you that these two will surely bring trouble this weekend!”
