She tried running and landed on the floor

my heart felt heavy seeing that she was frightened because of me. I slowly walked towards her staring her right in the eye that was about to pop out its the socket, I lean to her level carried her frozen body which was void of any movement off the floor, she tried to break free but I prevented by tightening my hold on her, I wanted peak through her mind and know what’s going on with her but I can’t, “be still I won’t hurt you” I affirmed as I stood up with her in my arms and hurriedly appeared in my room and gently dropped her on the sofa, she held her head panting heavily as she pointed at me, I can see her eyes flickering, “f**k not again” I mumbled and clasped her wrist, “don’t do that” I warned caressing her wrist and pulled her for a tight embrace. I rubbed her back soothingly as that was the only way I know that can stop her from blacking out which she has done twice running away from reality, I believe she should know the kind of power I access than to be kept in the dark. But merely looking at her vulnerable state I began to think that I had made a great mistake for showing her my power. I looked down at her and found out that she was still trembling. I hurriedly pulled her out of my embrace, gazing at her pale face which was already white as paper, “damn! Obviously, she is scared of me” I thought, running my hand through my head while still staring at her delicate state.

“Are you that afraid of me? “ I asked with curiosity, she lowered her head without responding. I sighed heavily feeling something heavy in my heart, “ I’m not a monster Demeter. Even if I’m one I won’t eat you because you’re special, try and be calm. I only did this just to feed your curiosity and show you how I got into your room” i explained caressing her hair. “Look, I brought you dinner. '' I uttered, spreading out my palm and the packed food appeared. She looked up to my hand, staring with a dropped jaw. I chuckled and set the food on the table. “Come on, the food will get cold and won’t be eatable” she took a quick glance at me and placed the food on the table like she was contemplating on something but suddenly locked her eyes and inhaled, releasing the breath she was holding. I adjusted myself and watched her move to the center where the food was placed. She picked up cutlery and began to eat. I heaved a sigh of relief, happy that she wouldn't go to bed with an empty stomach. I relaxed my back on the couch watching with amazement as she graciously down the whole food without bulging, she burped and requested water, “you wait here I’ll get water” I said and got up to leave but she held my wrist, I swivel staring at her with confusion, “ what’s wrong?”

“I don’t want you to leave,” she asserted, which stunned me.

“I need to get you water. Relax, I'll be back soon” I explained. I still felt her grip on me tighten. “Fine! Tell me what do you want?”

“Make the water appear the same way you did with the food” She blinked twice, I nearly burst out laughing but I held myself, “that’s not how it works honey, you still have a lot to learn. However, I can let you take the water that appeared in my palm, it’s unhygienic” I explained, she made a nasty face as she stared at the food on the table, “rest assured that the food here is hygienic because I’ve already packed it for you. Now let me get water for you.” I straightened my back and left the hall.

Jasmines p.o.v.

I was oblivious of his presence the whole time wondering what just happened, “did I just see him vanish and appear at full speed, or was it my wild imagination? No! I clearly saw him disappear from my room and appear in his room. Could this be his new trick?” All this was hammering in my head but I had no answers for my questions. Abruptly flashes what happened when I first saw him came rushing to my mind as I remembered him using some kind of superpowers spell on me, “this man has an incredible superpower that are what made him weird, but how am I going to escaped from this cold-blooded monster” all this question came running to my mind as I battled with my mind. “I’m doomed” was the only question that I could put together after a moment of thinking. I flinched snapping out of the trance that was when I realized that we were a few inches close, my gaze followed him as he stepped away from me speaking about food, before I could even respond an insulating flask appeared on his palm sending shivers down my spine, “how could there be such thing in this world, what is this place, am I hallucinating?” I asked myself continuously, he adjusted himself and invited me to eat, I swallowed hard with many thoughts running through my mind, shortly I decided to follow up with the flow as I can’t afford to anger him, I nodded obediently and moved towards the table with the food. Although they were called my favorites I had no appetite to eat. However, is not up to me to decide, I gulped and started eating without pausing, suddenly I got choked because I was stuffing my mouth with a lot of food, I asked for water expecting him to do some kind of magic s**t but he just nodded and stood up to leave, I grabbed his wrist stopping him from leaving, he stared at me worriedly that I find deceitful, I almost rolled my eyes at him but I remained calm as I don’t want to get into another argument, he moved towards me inquiring what was wrong, I simply told him not to leave me behind with the thought that he would understand my motive and do the same trick, but he wasn’t buying that, he insisted on getting me a glass of water and affirmed that he would be quick, “can’t you do the same trick and get me water?” I asked bluntly. He explained to me that I can’t have the water, so I nodded and watched him left in a flash just like what I watch in the movies. He arrived shortly and handed me the cup of water which I gulped down immediately, he sat next to me with his gaze on, I felt a bit uncomfortable and tried starting up a conversation but nothing came to my mind.

“How are you feeling now?” I bit my lip, “ I’m perfect” I mumbled with a nod.

“That’d be great, I thought that you were still shocked and frightened” although I wasn’t going to admit it, I was seriously disturbed about everything that happened, I put on a fake smile and assured him that I was fine. He nodded and patted my wrist, “today I wasn’t allowed to leave my room, why? I can’t be locked indoors the whole day without being told the reason, was it because of your mother’s arrival?” His face turned gloomy with unknown emotions which was masked immediately, I realized that something wasn't as his face changed when I mentioned his mother.
