He mumbled a few words out of shock, inquiring if I was worried about him, I sneered and rolled my eyes, "this man really thinks high of himself" I muttered to myself as I stood up from the seat staring at him. However, I still need to be nice to him if I want to get close to him and find my way back home.
"Not that I'm worried about you. I'm just afraid that someone might starve to death." I uttered as I strode out of the dinner hall, rubbing my palms nervously as I thought of what to make for him to get on his good side. Stepping into the kitchen I found the chefs standing in a single file with their heads lowered, I sighed as I found that awkward and unnecessary. I ignored them and walked to the kitchen checking out the available ingredients presented by the chef. "We have lobsters, lettuce, scallions, eggs, uncooked steak and shrimps and other condiments" I mumbled as I identified the ingredients placed on the table. I groaned, massaging my temple confused about what to prepare, I grinned immediately I got an idea popped up in my mind as I gazed back at the table. "I believe that seafood is quite prominent here" I asserted looking at the head chef.
"Probably not, my lady. But the king values seafood a lot" he said. My lip raised into a thin smile, "seafood it is then" I ushered them out of the kitchen and decided to make lobster bisque, I picked four lobsters and chose a few ingredients needed for the bisque. "This is going to be one hell of a job," I thought as I've never boiled water or cooked before but have watched nanny may prepare a bisque so I'll have to follow her step, "I got this" I mumbled and tie an apron, soaked the lobsters in clean water, washed it for a while before adding it into boiling water, I sliced the veggies and prepared the soup sauce for the lobsters. Moments later I brought out the lobster, chopped it into small pieces, and added it into the blended soup. "Woah, the smell is angelic" I uttered in amazement and decided to have a taste. I was bewildered at how the bisque tasted, "I'd make a good chef if I open a restaurant" I asserted while decorating the lobster bisque with chopped carrots, potatoes, and celery.
"Done!" I said excitedly, but suddenly paused for a while, "it won't be good if it's served alone" I nodded following my thoughts, and rang the bell. The head chef appeared immediately sweating profusely. "My apologies if I bothered you" I smiled at him. He refused my apologies politely, affirming that he has to answer my every call.
"What's your name mister?"
"I'm Nicholas, my lady" he bowed.
"You don't have to curtsy Nicholas and, you're of the same age as my grandpa Miller" I muttered grinning. "I'm Jasmine by the way" I let out while assisting him to raise his head.
"What does my lady need?" He inquired. I gruntled cursing inwardly as I nearly forgot why I called him. "I was wondering if I could get a pasta"
"Of course my lady" he responded and strode to one of the kitchen cabinets, unlocked, and brought a pasta. "Right! Thanks, Nicholas" he nodded and left. I prepared the pasta, dished out the meal, and rang the bell again. I notified Nicholas and his assistants to carry the meal to the dining hall. I rinsed my hands, removed the apron, and followed behind them.

Waiting aimlessly in the empty hall got wondering what she is doing in the kitchen, "gosh the suspense is killing me" I let out running my hand through my hair, "could it be she is stressed or hurt because she doesn't know her way around" I thought tapping my feet on the floor. Abruptly a sweet aroma hit my nostrils causing my throat to bobble, I stood up from the seat and followed the smell to the kitchen, I saw Lysander standing at the exit.
"Hey" I whispered, he turned and wanted to speak, I placed the tip of my finger on my lip and motioned him to leave, he bowed and ambled away. I arched closer to the exit and saw Demeter speaking with the head chef and even holding his hands, my face turned grim, "what could they be discussing?" I moved a bit closer and chuckled the moment I heard and watched Demeter treat the old folk.
"She still has the same qualities as the old Demeter" I whispered carefully, I wouldn't want to startle her with my presence, I'd better watch from afar. My eyes traveled all around the kitchen and suddenly stopped in a big pot, "lobster bisque" I stared in amazement. "This will be an interesting meal. I never thought that she would make a lobster bisque" I thought as I licked my lips.
"My king, the lady will soon notice your presence, I think you should go back to the dining hall" Lysander advised. I stared at him with vicious eyes, he stepped back lowering his head. I breathed heavily as I returned my gaze to Demeter who was still speaking with Nicholas, "probably, there'd be a hassle if my presence is made known to her, "keep a watch on her" I mumbled, walking out of the kitchen and went back to the private hall, I sat down on the chair out of excitement I sprang up from the seat walking around impatiently. Hearing footsteps approaching, I sat back on the chair with an expressionless face sitting like I've kept waiting for so long, the chefs strode in with the meal and placed it on the table. I lifted my head but couldn't find Demeter, my face suddenly turned gloomy, "she served my meal without being present" I glared at the chefs with a darkened eye, they trembled, curtsey, and left.
"My apologies for having you wait for so long" her voice echoed through the whole hall, I swirled back, watching her step in with her full glory.
