Chapter 3

Chloe hurried out of the cab screaming my name, "Mie!, why are you like this, what happened to you?" She inquired assisting me to the car, I placed my head on her shoulder sobbing, "it's ok Mie, you don't have to tell me now, you can speak when you want"

"Aunt Reena and Rebecca, they cheated on us," I told her everything, she looked at me with wide eyes, "What! You mean, omg, I knew from the start that she approached you with secret motives" she pulled me to her warm embrace, "luckily I bought two tickets for a cruise ship sailing across the island for me and Tristan but he's on a business trip, why not me with me at least you will be away from all this drama" she suggested wiping my tears, I immediately nodded without thinking, "well, we are leaving at dawn" she mumbled, the driver drove through the Manhattan neighborhood and stopped at Chloe's building, "come on Jasmine, mum and dad are not here we will be enjoying the house until tomorrow" she took me into the house and to her brothers' room, "Tristan is not here you can sleep in his room, I will prepare things for tomorrow, we will leave at dawn" she handed me a bathrobe, white towel and left, I sighed, stepped into the bathroom and took a shower. I put on the bathrobe and lay on the bed thinking about how I lost the most precious person in my life, "Mom, I promise to give you justice" I asserted and fell into a deep sleep.

****** Under the sea of Pontus ****

"My king your mother the queen is looking for you" my personal guard Lysander muttered with his head down, "tell mum I'm busy, I can't entertain her tonight"

"My king, your mother threatened to kill your dolphin if you didn't see him" I stop my movement and stare at him, flames in my eyes, I got up from my seat and walk towards the courtroom "What is It mom, why did you disturb my solace?" I affirmed looking at the blonde girl standing next to her, "this is Philomène the bride I found you, I have allowed you to mourn your wife Demeter for a hundred years yet there is no trace of her, I think it is time for you to forget her and accept the new bride" I looked at the lady next to her furiously splashing water on her, "you can make your other son Marcus marry her, I'm gonna find Demeter and bring her home" I threw a last dark glare at her and left for my apartments, "Lysander!!" I called while removing my cloak, "I won't see any visitors today"

"Yes my king" he mumbled and left, I sat on my bed thinking about how Demeter had been stabbed with a soul-piercing sword on our wedding day, causing her soul to disappear without a trace, I gritted my teeth and took out my hand, my trident appeared, I struck it very hard and screamed, making the whole town of Pontus shake, "I have to find the person who hurt my Demeter" I cursed underneath my breath, scattering my the whole chambers with each strike from my trident. Lysander stepped trying to stop me, "my lord, mortals would be affected by this, please calm down" I shot him a glare with my eyes turning into flashes of light, and immediately he was struck by lightning, I stride to my inner chamber and entered the spring water that helps soothe my temper, a sigh of relief escaped my mouth with my eyes closed.

Jasmine's p.o.v.

Chloe woke me up before dawn, "Come on Mie, you gotta get ready or we're gonna miss the ship" I groaned, sat up from bed, and went in to take a shower. Chloe prepared a white floral dress for me that made me stand out, looking flawless, she made my hair into a long wavy curl and applied some makeup on my face, I help her make her hair into a bun, "here we go" she exclaimed as we put on our heel, she summoned the driver who took us to the seaport where we would take the ship. We boarded the ship with our ticket and sailed to across the island.

A housekeeper took us to our room where we settled in before moving on to the bar where we drank, danced and, had fun, "how are you feeling Mie" asked Chloe showing me her mischievous moves I chuckled "I feel awesome, I'm sorry I cut you out of my life because of Rebecca"

"It's cool, it's all in the past let's enjoy the present" we clicked on our drink and kept dancing, "did you hear that" I asserted, when I heard a thud on the ship, "no, it could be the sailor" she shrugged sitting on a couch. This time a loud noise erupted causing the whole ship to be flooded with water, "what's going on?" I inquired as the ship swayed from side to side, we walked out of the bar to find that a storm had hit our ship, everyone on the ship was running in search of shelter, some jumping in the sea trying to swim to the seashore, "calm down we'll find a way" she squeezed my hand tighter, "let's dive into the water and try to swim to the shore" I shook my head, "I don't think I can do that Chloe"

"You have to do this, this ship is going to sink very soon" she grabbed a life jacket and gave me one, we dived into the sea swimming as fast as my leg can take me, halfway in the middle of the ocean my feet felt numb I tried to lift my feet but couldn't, "Chloe!" I called, but no sound came out, only the sound of me swallowing the water and losing my breath, a drop of tear fell from my eye and got missed by the sea. Little by little, I was falling unconscious, "sorry mom, I didn't avenge you" I whispered losing my consciousness.

My eyes suddenly open, I looked around and saw that I am in an enclosed space, "what is this place, why am I here" I muttered utterly confused, "we've been trapped a voice intruded, I flinched, my eye widened immediately it caught the sight of some people in the same ship as me, "Chloe, Chloe" I shouted but there was no response, I shivered with fear and crouched down on the edge of the room, panting heavily.
