Kent “ Mr, are you alright?” She asked. Her voice was filled with concern and worry. The blood I lost was too much and it was difficult to open my eyes and have. Good look at the source of the soothing voice. “ Umm,” groaning in pain I clutched my shoulder. “ Let me remove your jacket and have a look,” she said softly. Her voice sounded like an angel was talking to me. “ F*ck,” she cursed, removing my jacket. Her curse made me want to make her mine right here and right now. Sh*t, I shouldn't feel this way right now when my enemies are lurking around to kill me. “ You are hurt,” she said. “ Don't worry, I know first aid. My mom is a surgeon and she taught me some stuff. I can handle this,” she added. “ You sure offended someone,” she said as I could hear the sound of surgical tools. If I was careful today he wouldn't have the chance to shoot me but then I wouldn't have met you, I thought. “ Ummm,” I groaned in pain as I tossed off the cold surface. “ And done. There will be a mild fever but you will be alright in no time,” she said. Then she started to give instructions to the nurse. With difficulty I managed to open my eyes to look at the angel but I couldn't see her face as her back was facing me. “ You are up?” I heard Matthew's voice. And she turned around, although my vision was still hazy but those eyes I will never be able to forget. They were the colour of sapphire but I couldn't see her face clearly. “ Lily!!! Are you doing it again?” Someone asked, coming into the room. Judging from her voice I could tell that she is not angry nor surprised at the girl who just saved me. Lily, so the angel’s name is Lily. “ He had lost way too much blood, and all the doctors are away, it would take a minimum of three hours for them to arrive and I can't bother the nurses They are all busy attending to the patients,” Lily said “ And if I would have to wait for them he would have died,” she added. “ Bye Hannah, my mother is here if knows what I did with her patient then I have to say goodbye to my birthday present,” she said as I saw her hurriedly moving away from me and towards the door. And just like that she disappeared from my sight. “ Matt,” I said in my groggy, dry voice. “ Don't, didn't you hear what she said? You need to rest. Don't move or else your wound will open,” he responded. “ The girl,” I managed to slurred out before the darkness consumed me. ***** One week later****** “ What do you mean you couldn't find her?” My voice boomed around the silent and still mansion. “ We have looked everywhere and searched the hospital but it looks like the person you mentioned does not exist,” George said, he is one of them I ordered to look for lily but sadly it has been a week since she disappeared into nowhere. They searched the whole of Toronto but still there wasn't any trace of her. “ Fu*k,” I cursed loudly slamming my hand on the rest of the couch. “ Did the earth swallow her?” I growled at my men who were standing at my face. I am lo sing my patience here. She saved me and if anyone gets to know about it, her life would be at stake. I can't risk it. It is the least I could do for her to save me. “ Kent,” Matthew came with a file in his hand looking at all of the members. “ Leave,” I said and they scurried away. “ I have some information about her,” he said. “ You found her?” I asked. “ No, but you might want to see this,” saying that he extended the file to me. “ The hospital you stayed at had been under attack and many of them were dead,” he added. For a second I froze thinking about Lily. I opened the file and the first thing I saw was her picture. I haven't seen anyone more beautiful than her. She is gorgeous and looked confident in the picture. her eyes were the same as I remembered. I flipped the page and closed my eyes for a moment before I closed the file and put it on the desk. Her whole family was massacred because of me and it said the police found all of the family members dead. “ Kent, we should leave now,” Matt said. “ It's been a month since we have been here. It's not safe for you and since she is….. he trailed off. He is right. It's time to go back to Italy and look into the business now. I have shown my mercy enough for Drew to do human trafficking, I shall have a meeting with him. “ prepare the jet, we will leave at dawn,” I said. “ Capo,” it has been a long time since Matt addressed me with my title. “ She was an angel. A kind angel. She treated my wound as well. I will remember her forever,” he said. For a giant like him I have never seen him getting emotional, not even when his father died. I wonder how their encounter went to make him like this. “ She gave me this,” he said, showing me aa little bracelet he had on his wrist which is made out of the black and white thread. “ She said, it will protect me,” he added, looking at the bracelet. He was about to take the file back with him but I stopped him. “ Leave it,” I said and he left without a word. I was going to make her my queen and there I am looking at the close file that says she is nomore. In my 28 years of life I have never felt anything like this for anyone like I felt for her. With a sigh I stood up picking up the file and left to my room where Matthew already packed everything. Entering the room I went to the bar and poured myself a Scotch knowing I wouldn't be able to rest tonight.
