Past 3 weeks has been crazy, I'm like so done with hunting right now. This morning, we had went to a café to get breakfast and Dean was falling asleep with his coffee in hand, I was leaning against the wall falling asleep while Sam was looking up s**t on the laptop. After the whole bloody Mary bullshit, we were having crazy cases. We had one that was due with skin. That about made me sick to my stomach. He tried to play as all of us. But mostly Dean and me. Sam and I knew it wasn't Dean, because for one Dean the real one, always flirts with me even though were kinda together. And skin Dean didn't do s**t with me. When we got my Dean back, I hugged him so hard, that I didn't want to let him go. But that didn't stop the skin from getting me. He played me so hard, that when Dean hurt himself bad, he had asked the skin me to heal him. Well since that wasn't the real me, the skin me couldn't. After that disgusting case, we had another disgusting case, due with f*****g bugs. Yes bugs. I hate bugs, always have and after that always will. Sam thought it was this little boy that was controlling the bugs since houses were being built on native grounds. The Indians wasn't having it. Which I had agreed on that as well. "Guys, wake up and eat your food. I found a lead." Sam spoke. "Do we have to?" I started to say as I sat up more. "I get I'm not humanly normal but I do need sleep. I'm exhausted." "I know we all are. But I found a clue from dad, its due with route 666." Sam had said. "The devil road?" I had said. "You know about this road?" Dean asked drinking the rest of his coffee. "I've heard of it. Bobby use to tell me stories about it." I had said as I finished what was left of my food. "Well I'll pay for the food and find the quickest way there." Sam said then got up. When Sam got up, I looked at Dean. I weakly smiled and leaned on him. "I swear, its like hes running on something that isn't sleep." I said. "I need rest Dean. Expressly to keep up with my powers." "I know, love. Just sleep in the car, and I'll talk to him." Dean said to me as he kissed the top of my head. "Let's go." He said as he got up. As we were walking out Dean got a phone call. I walk passed him and went to the car. As I got to the car, Sam was looking at a map laid out on top of the car. "Ok. I think I found a way we can bypass that construction just east of here. We might even make Pennsylvania faster than we thought." Sam was telling me. Lowering his phone and looking thoughtful, "Yeah. Problem is, we're not going to Pennsylvania." Dean had said behind me. "We what?" I asked. "But we once said once we got to PA, we would stop and rest for a few days before we deal with route 666." I had whined. "Well, I'm sorry." Dean said to me as he touched my face. "I just got a call from an, uh, old friend. Her father was killed last night, think it might be our kind of thing." "What?" Sam and I both said. "Yeah. Believe me, she never woulda called, never, if she didn't need us." Dean said, getting into the Impala. "Come on, are you guys coming or not?" I rolled my eyes at Dean and got into the back seat as Sam got in the front pass seat. I laid down to try and get some rest. It was quite as the Impala cruises down the road, fields on one side, a lake on the other. That I saw every so often I sat up to see where we were ever few hours. The boys were quite as well until I laid back down when Sam spoke. "So, by old friend you mean...?" "A friend that's not new." Dean said sarcastically "Oh yeah, thanks. So her name's Cassie huh? You never mentioned her.." "Didn't I?" Dean had said. There was a long pause, I sat up and looked at both Sam and Dean, as Sam looks at Dean expectantly. "So who's Cassie?" I had asked. "Yeah, we went out." Dean had said as he looked in the rearview mirror at me. I felt a little jealous right now. And I don't know why though. We wasn't together, then. So why am I feeling this way. "You mean you dated somebody? For more than one night." Sam had said, making it kinda worst for me. "Am I speaking a language you're not getting here? Dad and I were working a job in Ohio, she was finishing up college. We went out for a coupla weeks." Dean had said. "And...?" Dean shrugs slightly. "Look, it's terrible about her dad, but it kinda sounds like a standard car accident. I'm not seeing how it fits with what we do. Which by the way, how does she know what we do?" Sam asked Dean. Dean looks shifty. "You told her. You told her, the secret! Our big family rule number one. We do what we do and we shut up about it. For a year and a half I do nothing but lie to Jessica, and you go out with this chick in Ohio a coupla times and you tell her everything?" Sam had said, getting a little pissed off. It was quiet for quite some time, until Dean had said his answered. "Yes, I told her. I thought we had a thing, together and I didn't want to lie to her. I would have done the same to Heather if I had met her." He said brought me into this. "You shouldn't have lied to Jessica about it. It only hurts us worst when were with someone." "Dean, don't you," Sam had started to say. "Guys, it done and over with." I had said as I laid back down. "I knew where both of you are going with this. Both of you are right." I had said as I laid there staring at the roof of the Impala. "You know how hard it was for me for what I am and what I do. Dean when you found out, you tried to shoot me. Sam you freaked out and was like can y'all trust me. You know how I felt when y'all did that to me." I had said. "It was hard on me, but when I had told y'all the truth, I felt better. Even though I still don't know how I can deal with myself half the time. I'm like a ticking time bomb." I said. I felt the Impala slowing down to a stop. Then I saw Dean turn around and looked at me. When I saw him look at me, I felt a tear slide down my cheek. "Love, are you okay?" Dean asked me. I nodded. "I'll be fine." I said as I turned around and faced the seats. "Heather, we didn't know you felt like that." Sam had said as he reached and touched my shoulder. "I'm sorry, I made you felt that way. Through my whole life, I was taught to kill demons or not to trust them." "Yea, Heather. But our father trusts you and fought for you when I did that." Dean said. "And not because he's friends with your uncle Bobby and because you saved his life. And I'm thankful and grateful for that." When Dean had said that, I sat up and looked at them. I leaned close to them and hugged them as good as I can. I kissed Sam on hi cheek and Dean on his lips. "Let's go see this ex of yours. Where's she live?" "In Mississippi." "What part?" I had asked. "Off of route 491." When he said that my face got all seriousness. "Shut up." "What?" Both of them said. "Route 491 is route 666. The devil highway had his name changed a few years back." I told them. "No wonder I couldn't find it on the map." Sam said. "I thought there was a case about it in PA." "There is, a thing in PA that talks about route 666. It leads north to south. It covers about 5 States. And if your ex said something happened bad with her father, this is definitely for us." I told them. Dean turned around and headed towards Mississippi towards route 491 to where his ex was living. Sam was leaning again the door talking to me as I laid back down. We talked for a while until I had passed out. "All I have to say is, that its cursed and if I go, I better be at my fullest of my powers." I said looking away from Sam. As I was falling asleep, Sam was rubbing my shoulder, keeping me calm. About 6 hours later, I started feeling weird. Not a good weird either. I think the closer we got to route 666 or highway 491, it was drawing me in. I started having this weird dream, that it was good at first. It was Dean and I together enjoying ourselves alone, then the next a demon appears calling my name. Dean got up and got in front of me to protect me from the demon. "Heather honey, I need you. I need your help." The man had said to me. "How do you know my name?" I had asked. "I'm the one that helped your mother pick that name for you." He had said. "Heather's were your mother's favorite flower. They were beautiful just like you and your mother." He said. "Randy, dad." I said as I started to cry. I walked over to him and I hugged him. "Dad, I've been looking for you my whole life. I wanted to get to know my real father." I said crying into his shoulder. "Honey, I know. But I couldn't keep you because of what you were. And what had happened with your mother, I tried to keep you safe." He said. Then it all happened within seconds, a group of demons and angels appeared fighting. An Angel had killed my father right in front of me. I screamed for him. It felt so real that I woke up yelling Randy's name. "Randy!" I yelled then sat up. Me doing that scaring the s**t out of Dean and Sam. Dean almost lost control of the car but he got it handle and stopped. I was holding myself, crying and rocking myself, in the back seat. "Heather are you okay?" Dean asked me as he parked the Impala. "No," I said crying even more. Dean got out of the car and got in the back seat with me and grabbed me. "What's wrong?" Dean asked me. "Randy." I had said. "Who's Randy?" Sam had asked. Dean was the only one who knew about him. Since he was with me when those demons had came to attack me, him, and his father awhile back. "My demon father." I had said. "It felt so real." "It was just a nightmare." Sam said. "No, Sam. It felt all too real." I said as I looked at him. "It was you and me," I said as I looked at Dean, grabbing his hands. "We were alone for once, enjoying ourselves, when Randy had appeared, telling me he needed my help for something, telling me how beautiful me and my mother was. Then out of no where angels and demons appeared killing each other off when one of the angels had killed Randy. I screamed for him. It felt all so real like what happened with adopted parents." I said crying some more. Dean looked at his brother for a moment then back at me. "Maybe you should set this case out. Sam, we're almost there, about another 30 to 45 minutes, drive us to a hotel. So Heather can rest up." "Dean, no. I wanna help." "No, your weak as it is. And if your out there helping us, and get hurt, I don't know how I would pay for myself, if I lost you. Expressly with Bobby." Dean told me. I nodded at him. Sam climbed over to the drive side and started driving again to the closest hotel he could find, as Dean held me close in the back seat. I leaned into him as I started to fall asleep again. I sat in the back seat, holding Heather, as Sam drove us to a hotel. Heather had fallen asleep, but like every 5-10 minutes I would feel her twitch in her sleep, like something bad was happening. I wanted to wake her up but I let her sleep. Once we got to the hotel, Sam went and got us a room and I carried her  inside. I laid her on one of the bed where me and her would sleep on. Kissed her head and walked out with Sam. As we drove to where Cassie said where she'd be, we pulled up to a office building, and enter the building. "Jimmy, you're too close to this. Those guys were friends of yours. Again, Cassie, I'm very sorry for your loss." Some man was telling Cassie and another man. The man talking leaves, the other guy walks away. And Cassie sighs and turns around, looking straight at me. Looking slightly apprehensive, I nods at her and grins. She started staring at me "Dean." "Hey Cassie." We stare at each other for a long moment, not speaking. Sam watches us, smiling to himself. I cleared my throat "This my brother Sam." Cassie smiles at Sam, who returns one of his own. Her gaze returns to to. "Sorry bout your dad." I told her. "Yeah. Me too." Me and Cassie keep staring at each other. So kinda glad Heather had stayed back at the hotel. As we drove back to her place to talk more about what had been going on. Carrying in a tray of tea and cups. "My mothers in pretty bad shape. I've been staying with her. I wish she wouldn't go off by herself. She's been so nervous and frightened. She was worried about dad." "Why?" I asked. She was pouring tea for us, "He was scared. He was seeing things." "Like what?" I asked her. "He swore he saw an awful-looking black truck following him." "A truck. Who was the driver?" Sam asked. Handing us cups of tea. "He didn't talk about a driver. Just the truck. He said it would appear and disappear. And, in the accident, Dad's car was dented, like it had been slammed into by something big." Sam accepting his cup, "Thanks. Now you're sure this dent wasn't there before?" I'd look at my cup of tea like it's an alien, and quickly deposits it on a side table. I wasn't a tea guy, more coffee guy then anything. "He sold cars. Always drove a new one. There wasn't a scratch on that thing. It had rained hard that night. There was mud everywhere. There was a distinct set of muddy tracks leading from dad's car...leading right to the edge, where he went over." Cassie bows her head, getting her emotions under control. "One set of tracks. His." She had said as she looked back at us. "The first was a friend of your fathers?" "Best friend. Clayton Soames. They owned the car dealership together. Same thing. Dent. No Tracks. And the cops said exactly what they said about dad. He 'lost control of his car.'" She had said. "Can you think of any reason why your father and his partner might be targets?" I had asked. I was wondering about this. Maybe the road is cursed like Heather had said. Kinda wish she was with us now. "No." She said pulling me out of my thought. "And you think this vanishing truck ran them off the road?" Sam brought up. "When you say it aloud like that...listen, I'm a little sceptical about this...ghost stuff...or whatever it is you guys are into." I huffed. "Skeptical. If I remember, I think you said I was nuts." I said sarcastic. "That was then." She had said. We started staring at each other again. Now I really wished Heather was was me. "I just know that I can't explain what happened up there. So I called you." Sound of a door opening, a middle aged woman enters. Both Sam and I rise to our feet, Cassie goes to take her mom's arm. I've only met her once. Well not really met her, just saw her real fast. They talked a little bit but we end up leaving. We head back to the hotel. We remained obstinately silent through the whole drive until Sam had spoke. "Dean, what is going on between you two?" Sam asked me. "All right, so maybe we were a little bit more involved than I said." Sam was staring at me, waiting. "Oh, Ok." "OK, a lot more. Maybe. And I told her our secret, about what we do. And I shouldn't have." I had said. "Ah look man, everybody's gotta open up to someone sometime. And you had said it and so did Heather." "Yeah I don't. It was stupid to get that close. I mean, look how it ended." I told him. Sam started smiling at me creeping me out a little. "Would you stop!" I told him Sam keeps staring and smiling. "Blink or something!" I told him. "You loved her." He asked. "Oh God." I mumbled. "You were in love with her, but you dumped her." Sam said. I was silent. I stared at the road, glanced at Sam, then looks back to the road. "Oh wow. She dumped you." Sam said shockingly. Yes she dumbed me not the other way around. Yes I was in love with this woman but what I did, hunting, was to far for her. I always told myself not to fall for a girl that would not except me for me, for what I do. But I did. I thought Cassie was the girl for me. And coming back here, was bothering me. Just hope it isn't bothering Heather. But I had Heather now. Heather was cool, kind hearted. Cares about life and others. I mean what's not to like about her. She's bad ass, hunts, drinks like a man does but with her own kind of drinks, she damn near like the same foods the way I do, likes rock n' roll like me, drives old school cars like me, she's like me but in a girl version of me. And mostly she's beautiful with a great body not afraid to get her hands dirty. I mean yes she's not humanly normal, yes she has two parts of her, but she can take care of herself. She's already prove to me about that when she had saved my father and Sam's life. His hope me and her can be us together as long as we can and nothing can get passed us. I'd be heart broken if we parted. Like I might lose my way and I can't lose my way for anyone because I have to take care of Sam and my Father wherever he's at. When we got back to the hotel, I had walked in first. Heather was still asleep. I stood there just admiring her. I turned around and head back to the car. "Hey you mind getting us food and drinks?" I had asked Sam. "Sure. Is Heather awake yet?" He asked me. "No, not yet. I wanted to surprise her with some food." I had said. "Yea, I'll get her favorite stuff if I can." Sam had said as he got into the drive side. "I'm glad she's with us. But I feel bad how she thought how we felt about her." "It'll take some time for her. She's got a lot going on right now. Hell we all do." I said. Sam nodded, started the Impala and took off. I had went back into the room. As I got to the bed, I took off my shoes and laid in the bed next to her. I softly put my arm over her, but when I put my arm on her she had jumped a little. I kinda scared her. "Hey its just me." I told her as she quickly turned over to look at me. "Dean!" She said as she started tearing up a little. "Let me guess, the nightmare again." I had asked her. She nodded. "Yes," she said. "But this time it was a little different." "How so?" I asked her. She fully turned around to face me. "You and I were in a cabin together, in the middle of the woods, alone. Just us being us, chilling, talking. When Randy had showed up, telling me that I had to get away from there. That they found me and they were gonna kill me because of what he had made. Then that's when they all came and started the killing spear again. But they didn't come for me like he had said, the angels had killed the demon's off. Leaving my father for last so I could watch. As before I started to scream but you woke me up." She had told me as she put her hand on my chest. "Heather, you ain't gonna die. Your not going anywhere. I damn sure know your not going anywhere. Your staying right here with me and Sam." I told her. She smiled a little at me. She moved a little closer to me to get comfortable. Or so I thought. She leaned her head closer to my head and lean in to kiss my lips. I was gonna stop her, not because Sam would be back soon, its just that I don't want to mess up what me and her have. As she started kissing me, I had kissed her back, putting my hands on her waist, to pick her up and put her on top of me. We started making out for it seems like forever. I wanted to go further then this, but we also had said we wanted to take things slow. As things were getting heated with Dean and I, I wanted to do more. I literally want to jump his bones, I want to feel him on me, in me. I wanted the 'Dean Special'. I wanted it all. As he grabbed my ass, to push me more into him, the door had opened. And we had stopped kissing. I stared at who had came into the room. It was Sam, and he had stopped when he saw us doing what we were doing. "Oh guys, if your gonna do that at least leave a sock on the door. Or something." He said as he put down the food and drinks on the table. "We wasn't doing anything but kissing." I had said feeling a little embarrassed as I got off of Dean. "Mhmm, I'm glad you two are working it out but still." Sam had said. "Dude, we wasn't. We told each other we're taking it slow. We were just talking about her nightmare then that happened." Dean told him. "Another nightmare?" Sam asked. "Yea," I said as I grabbed my food. "Awe, you got my favorite." I said as I touched his arm. "Your the best." I said then kissed his cheek. Sam started to blush a little. "Your welcome." He told me as he sat down on the end of his bed with his food. "Was this the same one with your father?" "Yes, but different." "How so?" "Dean and I were in a cabin in the woods, us being us, chilling and talking, when he showed up telling me to leave that they found me. Then the angels showed up killing off the demons and leaving Randy last." I had said. Dean touched my shoulder, more like rubbing it. He leaned down to kiss my head then grabbed his food and headed to our bed and sat at the end of it to eat. "This has to mean something." Sam had said. "Yea, I thought so too. After this case, I was thinking of going home." I had said then looked at Dean. "Maybe going alone, working on how this is happening or what it means." Dean had stopped eating his food and looked at me. He looked kinda pissed but sad missed together. "Heather, no. I don't think you should," Dean started to say. "Dean, I have to find my father. I have to get," "Yea I know, your answers. But what if this is a sign. What if hes somehow sending you a sign. What if its a trap. I'm not letting you go home and getting your self killed over your father." "Dean its my father and I can protect myself." I had said as I took my last bite of my food. "If you were in my shoes what would you do?" I had said as I put my trash in the bag. "Hell were damn near doing the same now. Were looking for your father." I had said as I stood up. "I need to know my father." I had said then started to head to the door. "For someone that cares about family, I thought you would understand this." I said then opened the door and walked out. I didn't know where I was going but first was getting away from that room. I walked a little off to the side of the building into the next lot where there was benches were at. It was like a little park for the hotel for the kids or whatever. I had sat there seems forever, watching some of the kids playing around in the dirt with their parents watching from a far. Then I thought of one parent, uncle Bobby. I grabbed my phone and called him. It rung 3x until he answered. "Hello?" "Uncle Bobby," "Heather, hey. How's every thing going? Have y'all found John?" "No, not yet. We're following clues to find him though. Awhile back Dean got arrest when we had found one of John's room's after we got Sam. But Dean was only picked up to give him some clues about where John was heading. So we've been following them." "Oh, okay. Is Dean and Sam treating you well?" Bobby asked. "Yea, Dean and Sam are treating me okay." I told him. "Okay? What's wrong?" He asked me. Uncle Bobby knew me so well. Expressly with these powers. He knew when I was feeling down or drained but never pushed me to it. Unless he had to. I didn't know what to say or how to tell him. "Well I've had a nightmare, not just one but two. And they were kinda the same. Dean thinks its a sign and doesn't want me to follow up on it." "What's the nightmares about?" "Randy." I flat out said. "Your demon father?" "Yes." I said. "Its just weird though. Its Dean and I alone together, us being us, when he pops out of nowhere. First one was telling me how beautiful my mother and I are then the second one was telling me they found me and that I need to get away. Then the angels and demons show up and started killing each other off leaving my father last so I can watch. I scream for him but I end up waking up when they kill him." I told him my nightmares. "If this is a sign, I have to find him. I need to know my father before he does die." "Honey, Dean's right. I don't want you following up with this. If the nightmares are a sign, its dangerous for you. Just stay close to Dean and Sam. Unless you want to come home?" "I do want to come home, but to find my father. I need answers Bobby." I told him. I did want to go home but at the same time I don't. Dean and Bobby is right. If its a sign I could be in danger just like how my father had said. But I don't know what to do. "Look Heather, I'm still looking around for your answers and I'm coming up no where. But I'll keep trying." Bobby had said. "Help them find John then come home afterwards." Bobby had said. "Fine, Ima go. And tell Dean I'm sorry." I told him. "Good, stay safe and I'll hit you up if I find anything new to your father. Don't worry about this to much. Love you." He told me. "You too." I said then hung up. I sat there still wondering what to do. What to say to Dean. I sat there fiddling with my thumbs when I felt someone behind me. I looked up and it was Dean. I smiled at him a little as he took a seat next to me. When he sat down, he grabbed my hand and I leaned my head on his shoulder. "I'm sorry." We both said at the same time. When we both heard us both say it we both chuckled a little. "Sam and I were talking, you have a right to find your answers about your father. But we both still agreed on that it could be a sign as well." He told me. "Not just because it was a nightmare just because you have two different ones of him trying to talk to you. First one was how beautiful you and your mother was and now this one of they know where your at." "Dean your right. I talk to Bobby and he had said the same thing. Its just I've waited and wanted to know who my real parents were or are since I found out my parents wasn't my parents. And me helping you and Sam find John, it just hurts a little." I told him. "Yea, I know. Sam brought that up as well. Look as soon as we find our father and make sure he's okay, we'll help you find yours as well as were working on these cases." Dean told me. "Deal?" "You got a deal." I told him. I turned my head to the side and kissed him cheek. I went to get up after that but he pulled me back down. He put his hands on my cheeks and leaned in and kissed me fully on the lips. After the kiss he grabs my hands and looks at me. "Heather, we may not fully be together, but I really care about you and I just want you to be safe." "Dean, I know." We got up and went to the room, Sam was sitting at the table on the computer doing research once again. I went to the bed and laid back as Dean got a phone call. "Yea, sure I'll come over." Dean had said then hung up the phone. "Who was that?" Sam asked. "Cassie, she wanted me to come over." Dean had said. "Do you need back up?" Sam asked Dean then looked at me. I was watching them as I was laying here. I could put two and two together. This was Dean's ex girlfriend and I'm his somewhat now, kinda girlfriend. I trust Dean since we're kinda together now but still. I kinda wanted to go but didn't. I was too tired. Dean looked at me then to Sam. "Naw, I think I'm good. Plus Heather needs to rest." He had said then head towards the door again. He stood there for a moment then looked back at me. Deep down he wanted me to go even though he said he didn't. "Matter of fact, I kinda want you to go." Dean said as he walked over to me and held his hand out. I smiled at him and reached for his hand and he helped me up. We held hands as we walked out the hotel room to the car. When we got in the car, I leaned into him to rest while he was driving. He had his arm around me as well. I felt safe with him. When we got there we walked to Cassie's door and he knocked. When she had answered the door, she was in a sexy nightgown. When she had saw I was standing next to Dean, she got all shocked and a little annoyed that I was here. Bitch was you literally gonna seduce my boyfriend. Is that why you had called him over. Ah hell, I was pissed now. "Dean, who this?" She had asked as she let us in. "This is Heather, umm my," he started to say. "I'm his girlfriend." I had said as I grabbed his hand. "Oh, I didn't know you had a girlfriend. You wasn't with him or Sam earlier," she started to say. "Yea I know. I was at our hotel, resting. I didn't feel good this morning." I had told her. She nodded then looked at Dean for a moment then looked down at herself and saw what she was wearing. She pointed towards the front room and she went into her room to change. As she came back, she had put a pot of coffee on, then sat in a chair and talked to Dean about the next killing. And the passed two killings that had happened. As she was talking, the coffee was done and made each one of us a cup. We all talked. Well mostly them. They had talked about the old times, which I felt uncomfortable about and Dean noticed. He would leaned over and kiss my cheek. I would smile when he had done that. After a while, my phone had rung, so I had got up and walked towards the kitchen. It was Sam. "Hey," "Hey, the Mayor is dead. Just heard on the cop radio." Sam had said. "Are you serious?" I had asked. "Yea, its messed up we just saw him a few hours ago too." "Damn, okay. I'll let them know." I had said. "Its awkward ain't it?" Sam asked. "You have no idea." I said then hung up the phone. I walked back into the other room and saw Cassie dear, leaned close to Dean with her hand on his leg. "Mayor is dead." I had said. "What!?" They both asked. "Mayor is dead." I repeated. "What, no. Are you serious?" Cassie had asked. "Yea, that was Sam." I had said as I put my phone in my pocket. "Well we should go and go check this out." Dean had said mostly to me. I nodded and heads towards the door as they walked over. Cassie out her hand on his arm and leaned forward and kissed his cheek. I glared at her after she done it and she looked at me then opened the door for us. * * * * * * * "Every bone crushed. Internal organ's turned to pudding. The cops are all stumped, it's like something ran him over." Sam had told us after we arrived at the crime scene. " Something like a truck?" Dean had said. "Yep." "Tracks?" I had asked. "Nope." "What was the Mayor even doing here anyway?" I had asked. "He owned the property. Bought it a few weeks ago." "But he's white, he doesn't fit the pattern." "Nor does the killings, they didn't happen up on the road. That doesn't fit either." Sam had said. As they talked, I walked. I was looking around for s**t that they couldn't see and I could. It didn't all add up, though. The last few killings were black and it was on route 666. Then I thought of it, what if it was like what had happened at the lake house. What if its a vengeful spirit. What if the Mayor, Cassie's father and her father's friend had done something. "Its a spirit!" I yelled out. The boys looked at me, crazy. "How do you know?" Sam asked. "Well look at it. You had said Cassie's father saw a black truck following him a few times before his death right? And the same to his friend right? What if something bad had happened that these 3 guys done something awful. That it was seeking revenge and they were the only ones that could see it and no one else." I had said. "It has to be that." Dean and Sam looked at each other then back to me. "We have to see how or what the Mayor, Cassie's father and his father have in common or whatever." Dean had said. We dropped off Sam back at the hotel and Dean and I went to the newspaper to look up research. I wasn't happy about it because once we got there Cassie was there. When she saw Dean her face lite up then her face expression changed when she saw me walking in behind him. Cassie makes three mugs of tea and brings them over to where Dean and I sit at a computer. "Here." "Thanks." We both had said. "So I'm trying to find some link between those killings back in the '60s and what's going on now. There wasn't a lot about it in the paper." Dean had added. "Not surprising. Probably minimal policework too. Back then equal justice under the law wasn't too literal around here." Cassie had said. Dean's phone rings and I grabbed it and put it on speaker, so we both could hear together. "Yeah." It was Sam on the phone. "Ok, the courthouse records show that Mr and Mrs Mayor bought an abandoned property. The previous owner was the Dorian family for, like, 150 years." "Dorian?" "Yeah." Sam had said. Dean looked at Cassie. "Didn't you say the Dorian family used to own this paper?" He had asked. She nodded. "Along with everything else around here. Real pillars of the town." "Right, right." Dean clicks a few links on the computer. "That's interesting." "What?" Sam and I had asked. "This Cyrus Dorian. He vanished in April of '63.The case was investigated but never solved. It was right around the time the string of murders was going on back then." Dean had read out loud. "Well I pulled a bunch of papers up on the Dorian place, it musta been in bad shape when the Mayor bought." Sam said. "Why's that?" "The first thing he did was bulldoze the place." Sam said. "Mayor Todd knocked down the Dorian place?" Dean asked Cassie. "It was a big deal. One of the oldest houses left. He made the front page." "You got a date?" Dean asked Sam. "Ahhh. The 3rd of last month." He had answered Dean's question. Dean clicking, then reading from computer screen. "Mayor Todd bulldozed the Dorian family home on the 3rd. The first killing was the very next day." I shook my head at all of this. So now we know its a spirit but what or why is it doing this. Why is Cyrus doing this. It was just a property. He was or is long gone, so why. We said our goodbye's to Cassie and went back to the hotel. It was getting late and I was still tired. But you could tell Dean was itching to get out of there as well. Once we got back to the hotel, I took a shower then Dean got in after. Sam was already asleep by the time I got out of the shower. And I was almost there when Dean got out. He wrapped his arm over me, pulled me close to him and the next minutes I was out. Ring. Ring. Ring. Ring. Ring. Ring. Dean's phone was ringing and it woke us all up. Dean rolled over and grabbed it and answered it. When he answered all you can hear was Cassie freaking out. "Dean, Dean!" "Cassie, what's wrong?" Dean asked as he sat up. "The truck!" She said then screamed then the line went dead. "Guys Cassie needs help the truck is there." Dean said. We all jumped up hurried up and got dressed. We ran to the car and drove as fast as we could to Cassie's house. When we got there the truck was gone, Cassie was in the living room with a older woman. Her mother. The boys did say she was staying with her mother since her father had passed. Sam hands her a cup of tea. Dean sits beside her protectively. And I stood by the arch of the living room watching the outside. Seeing if that truck would come back. Cassie's hands were shaking, rattling the cup as she speaks. "Maybe you could throw a couple of shots in that." She had told Sam. "You didn't see who was driving the truck." "It seemed to be no one." She said at first. "Everything was moving so fast. And then it was just gone. Why didn't it kill us?" She had said. "Its a ghost, it's seeking revenge. It wants to scare you first then kill you." I had spoke from the window. Someone got quiet for a moment. I saw Cassie staring my way, through the window. She was scared but I wouldn't blame her. I kinda felt sorry for her. Sam shoot me a look for a moment, I turned to look at him and smirked a little. "Whoever was controlling the truck wants you afraid first." Dean had told her changing what I had said to somewhat calm her down. "Mrs Robinson, Cassie said that your husband saw the truck before he died." Sam asked her. I could see Mrs. Robinson was shaking where she was sitting. I turned to look at her. "Mom?" "Oh. Martin was under a lot of stress. You can't be sure about what he was seeing." "Well after tonight I think we can be reasonably sure he was seeing a truck. What happened tonight, you and Cassie are marked. Ok? Your daughter could die. So if you know something now would be a really good time to tell us about it." I had told her. I could see Dean was about to say the exact thing I was gonna say, I had beat him to it. I get she's your ex girlfriend but don't baby her while s**t like this is happening. "Dean.." Cassie had said. I guess what I said freaked her out more and wanted Dean to get on to me but he nodded. "Heather's right. Sorry there's no other way to have said it myself." Dean told her. I smirked. Ha! b***h, try to get my man to turn on me. Nice try. "Yes. Yes, he said he saw a truck." Her mother had said. Kinda forgot we had asked her something. "Did he know who it belonged to?" Sam asked. "He thought he did." "Who was that?" I had asked as I crossed my arms and walked closer to her. Mrs. Robinson was getting upset. "Cyrus. A man named Cyrus." Sam and Dean look at each other I just stared at her. I kinda knew this. Dean reaches for his bag and shows Mrs. Robinson the newspaper article about Dorian's death. "Is this Cyrus?" "Cyrus Dorian died more than 40 years ago." Dean had asked her softy. "How do you know he died, Mrs Robinson? The paper's said he went missing. How do you know he died?" "We were all very young. I dated Cyrus a while, I was also seeing Martin...in secret of course. Inter-racial couples didn't go over too well back then. When I broke it off with Cyrus and when he found out about Martin, I don't know, he, changed. His hatred. His hatred was frightening." She had said. "The murders." I asked. "There were rumours. People of colour disappearing into some kind of a truck. Nothing was ever done. Martin and a... Martin and I, we were gunna be, uh, married in that little church near here, but last minute we decided to elope as we didn't want the attention." She had said sounding a little upset. "And Cyrus?" Dean asked her. Mrs. Robinson completely started breaking down. "The day we set for the wedding, was the day someone set fire to the church. There was a children's choir practising in there. They all died." " Did the attacks stop after that?" Mrs. Robinson started to cry "No! There was one more. One night that truck came for Martin. Cyrus beat him something terrible. But Martin, you see, Martin got loose. And he started hitting Cyrus and he just kept hitting him and hitting him." " Why didn't you call the cops?" I had asked her. Mrs. Robinson still crying. "This was forty years ago. He called on his friends, Clayton Soames and Jimmy Anderson, and they put Cyrus' body into the truck and they rolled it into the swamp at the end of his land and all three of them kept that secret all of these years." " And now all three are gone." Sam and I had said at the same time. "And so is Mayor Todd. Now he said that you of all people would know he is not a racist. Why would he say that?" Dean said. "He was a good man. He was a young deputy back then investigating Cyrus' disappearence. Once he figured out what Martin and the others had done he...he did nothing, because he also knew what Cyrus had done." She had said. Cassie finally spoke after awhile. "Why didn't you tell me?" She had asked her mother. S till crying, "I thought I was protecting them. And now there's no one left to protect." Cassie's mother had said between her cries. "Yes there is." Dean said then looks at Cassie. So does Mrs. Robinson, looking shaken. After that I was afraid for what was gonna happened next. And I'm not always afraid of anything but at this moment I was. What happens next in the last few hours was the scariest part of my life. A haunted truck coming to life chasing Dean and I in the Impala. We all move toward the door of the truck, glance at each other. Dean opens it. A decayed body falls out. I screamed and turned my head into Dean's chest. I wasn't expecting that to happened at all. I mean I was but at the same time I wasn't. "All right let's get to it." They salt and burn the body and we stood watching. "Think that'll do it?" Sam said. Then the ghost truck appears, headlights come on and engine reving. "I guess not." Dean says, grabbing me. "So burning the body had no effect on that thing?" " Sure it did. Now it's really pissed." "But Cyrus' ghost is gone, right Dean?" Sam asked. "What are we gonna do? I'm to weak to use my powers. Plus its a ghost, they don't usually work on ghost." I had said. Dean starting to walk away from the truck pulling me with him. "Where you going?" Sam asked, taking the words out of my mouth. " Goin' for a little ride." "What!" Sam and I had said. "Gonna lead that thing away. That busted piece of crap, you gotta burn it." Dean told him. "How the hell am I supposed to burn a truck Dean?" "I don't know. Figure something out." S am catches the bag that Dean throws at him, "Figure some -- something --." I hear Sam sputtering. Dean reverses the Impala and takes off. The ghost truck roars after him. I saw Sam hiding until it has passed. Dean lead the truck on a wild ride through the misty back roads. D ean calls Sam as we're driving. Sam answers the phone by saying, "Hey, you gotta give me a minute." " I don't have a minute. What are we doing?" "Ahh. Let me get back to you." Sam hangs up. Dean sounding astounded. "Get back to me?" "Dean, I'm not liking this." I told him. "I know, just hang on. I promise you this, after this we are taking a break on cases." Dean started to say. "After this I will need a break." Deans phone rings and it was Sam. "All right, Dean?" " This better be good." "Where are you?" Sam asked. "Really, now. Were middle of no where with a scary killer truck on our ass." I had said. "It's like it knows I put the torch to Cyrus." Dean added. "Listen to me, this is important. I have to know exactly where you are." Looking at a road sign as the Impala roars passed. "Decatur road, about two miles off the highway." I said said. "Ok. Headed East?" Sam told us. The Truck backends the Impala, which goes skidding all over the road before regaining traction. I scream a little. "You son of a b***h!" Dean yelled. " Ok, ahhh, turn right! Up ahead, turn right." Sam told Dean. Dean swings right, the truck follows, both engines screaming and revving. "You make the turn?" " Yeah I made the turn! You need to move this thing along a little faster." "All right, you see a road up ahead?" "No! Wait. No, yes, I see it." The truck is slowly gaining ground on the Impala's left side. "Ok, Turn left." Sam says. " Wha...?" Grimacing, Dean slams on the brakes and the truck careens past as he spins the Impala left onto the smaller road. "All right, now what?" I had said. " You need to go seven tenths of a mile and then stop." "Stop?" Both Dean and I had said. "Exactly seven tenths Dean." As we were looking at the speedometer, "Seven tenths, seven tenths." At the right moment Dean spins the car around and moves it back to sit exactly where Sam advised, facing back the way he had come. He is between two posts on each side of the road and the last remains of a wall, almost totally broken down. The ghost truck appears back down the road he came down, revving it's engine. Me breathing heavy, holding onto Dean's arm, I was afraid to meet our maker. The truck was coming right at us. Then stops. "Dean, You still there?" "Yeah." "What's happening?" "It's just staring at me, what do I do?" Dean asked. "Just what you are doing, bringing it to you." Sam asked. "Wha..." The truck spins it's tyres and comes barreling toward the Impala. We watches it come, Dean hanging tightly to the Impala's steering wheel. "Come on Come on." Dean says. As it reaches us, we closes our eyes and hangs on tight to each other. The truck roars through us, disintegrating into nothing as it does so. We opens our eyes and stares at the now empty road in front of us. All that can be heard is the purring of the Impala's engine, the truck's revving having completely disappeared. Dean twists quickly to look behind and sees nothing. " Dean. Heather. You still there? Dean?" Sam calls out. "Where'd it go?" I had asked. "You guys, you're where the church was." "What church!" We asked. "The place Cyrus burned down. Murdered all those kids." Looking at the posts left on the side of the road, "There's not a whole lot left." I had said. "Church ground is hallowed ground, whether the church is still there or not. Evil spirits cross over hallowed ground, sometimes they're destroyed, so I figured, maybe, that would get rid of it." Sam told us. "Maybe? Maybe!! What if you were wrong?" Dean asked. "Huh. Honestly that thought hadn't occurred to me." Dean hangs up the phone, then mocks Sam. "Well it honestly didn't occur to me." Dean slaps the steering wheel. "I'm gonna kill him." I shook my head at him. Still looking around for the truck, I actually feel better then I was when I heard about this truck. Still leaning into Dean, we drove back to where the truck was to pick up Sam then head to Cassie's to tell her that the truck was gone. Once we got there I got out with Dean to stretch my legs a little as Sam got into the drover side. Dean walking back to the Impala with Cassie. They were talking, smiling, and laughing a little. As they got to the Impala, Cassie leaned in and kissed Dean on the lips. I pushed off the Impala and went over to them. I pulled Dean away from her and we walked away from her. She went to say something, but I had put my hand up towards her and she went quiet. Dean got in the pass as I was about to get in the back seat. When Cassie had yelled out to me. "Heather, don't ever let go of him. He's a great man." She had said. "Planing on it." I said then got into the car. Sam looked in the rearview mirror to look at me then drove off after waving goodbye to Cassie. I looked out the window and watched the trees pass bye. Wishing I were home, right about now. "So now where?" Sam asked. "Sioux Falls, South Dakota." I had said. "What's there?" He had asked. "Home." I said. The next 16 hours was me resting in the back and Dean and Sam taking turns driving. Sam drove the first 8 hours and Dean drove the rest of the way after taking a break to eat. But once we made it home, I was glad to be home. It was my best and safest place to be at out of the whole world. And not just because my uncle Bobby lived there either. Hope you liked that chapter of "Route 666". I made it a little twist into it. If you remember right, Dean and Cassie had s*x, but since Dean and Heather are trying to work out as a couple, I had took that part out. But that kiss in the end though? What did you think? I mean as of what Heather should have done to Cassie for kissing Dean. I mean hell, if Dean had saved my life like that I sure in the hell would have kissed him too even if I got my ass beat up. Question to what do y'all think about Heather's dream, do y'all think it's a sign or what? I mean as each time she had it, it was different then the last. What do y'all think? Don't forget to comment and vote and tell me what y'all think and if there's anything you want me to add in the book let me know... Xoxoxo
