New friends

Mira's (POV)

As I stepped back inside a wave of guilt past over me "my home and my parents, what would they be like without me? I helped out a lot with pack business and the pups and with me gone who would they get to do it?" All these things were bothering me aside from the fact that I had basically been trapped here with no clothes except the ones I was wearing and a man "all be it a very hot man" that thinks I'm his mate an I don't feel anything resembling a bond.

I walked back towards the kitchen to see if my pasta was still there as I was starving, entering the kitchen which was now empty I plopped down on the chair Infront of my now cold bowl of pasta not caring I ate the lot and felt better for it.

Now full and a little tired from the day's events I was curious as to where I was going to sleep, I didn't want to go asking Luka where the bedroom was incase he got the wrong idea so I decided to look for Diaz to see if he knew.

I figured at this time most people would either be in the living area or in one of the few offices I passed and luckily I was right and didn't have to disturb too many people to find Diaz. He was in the third office door I knocked on sat behind his wooden desk lounging back in his chair and he didn't bother getting up when I walked in.

"Your in the wrong office if you're looking for Luka!" Diaz said lazily lifting his eyes from his papers to look at me, "I was looking for you actually" I retorted folding my arms across my chest in annoyance " I need to know which room is mine for the near future and I don't want to bother your alpha with something so trivial" I stated not moving from where I stood near the door.

"Well if you're not interested in our dear alpha I'm sure I can entertain you" Diaz spoke with a leer in his eyes that I didn't like and right then I knew he was going to be trouble. " Fine if you can't help me I will find it on my own" and I left the room shutting the door hard behind me, " what is it with these men? They think they can just treat women like objects"

I continued to wander the hallways till I got back to the sitting room where three women including my new "shall I say friend?" Tia were sat watching Love Island and debating on someone's relationship, "I can't say the program ever interested me so I wouldn't have a clue on the names of the people but I'd seen enough to know it was a pathetic human game of so called love".

"Hey! There you are" called Tia from the sofa smiling brightly at me making me feel more at ease instantly, "come sit with us, let me introduce you" she said so I did as she asked moving around the deep red sofa and sitting in a red leather chair to the side " which was comfy" I thought.

Tia was still smiling at me and the other two women sat either side of her looked curious but there was no bad vibes coming off them which was good, " Mira this is Kayla" she said pointing to the woman on her left who was slim with short blonde hair and fair skin " I thought looked in her late twenties" " and this is Jen" she said then gesturing to the woman on her right who was a little chubbier but still fairly slim with long brown hair and noticed her eyes were very dark almost black in appearance. " Hi" they both said almost in unison and I couldn't help but smile at them. " Do you like Love Island Mira?" Kayla asked and I wasn't sure f I wanted to say no so I just said " I don't really watch much TV" but that got a shocked response " well you will now" said Jen beaming at me like I was a new oddity.

" I thought now would be the best time to ask if they knew where my room was" but Jen stopped my thoughts by saying " I made up a room for you this afternoon it's on the second floor adjacent to the alpha's and don't worry about your clothes we managed to find a few bits that will fit you till your things arrive", " Jen! You know it's not polite to eaves drop" Tia stated as she elbowed her friend " sorry Mira! Our friend Jen here is our resident thought listener and sometimes she can't help herself but don't worry he can't hear everything it's just thoughts on the surface of your mind" Kayla said this as if it was normal. " Thanks for the warning" I said as I laughed at the fact that my thoughts weren't safe. "I'll go find my room now" I said as I stood up " oooh don't forget to come to dinner in a bit there will be plenty of food and our alpha will be glad to have you there" Tia said as she wiggled her eyebrows at me, "oh ok" I replied as I didn't want her to think I didn't want to be there " not really".
