Meanwhile at City Hall, just as detective clay and Captain Ahmed proceed to the gathering, they notice Mayor Janet bidding goodbye from the people and leaving from the gathering. "Yes, yes, thank you, we'll inform you shortly." said Major Janet as yelling from the people continues. She immediately closes the door and sighs to be relieved from the noise.
Just then, Detective Clay and Captain Ahmed approach her. She immediately glances at Clay with a secret smile look. "Detective Clay." said Major Janet. "Madam Major." replied Clay who is too secretly glad to see her back. Witnessing this, Captain immediately brings them both back into the world with a fake cough. "Captain Ahmed, yes, I am sorry, the people… and um..." said Major Janet before getting interrupted by Captain.
"It's alright, I can understand, so how are the people?" asked Captain Ahmed. "Since you asked, it's a mess, parents are worried, the attack, their kids future, and now guys with black sunglasses are swarming our entire town without giving us a slight hint of what the heck are they doing here." said Mayor Janet. "We expected this, didn't we?" added detective Clay. "What do you mean?" asked Mayor. "Well, after a incident like that, no wonder kids going to use this to skip schools since their exams are coming." said Detective Clay.
"True, and these idiots are screaming at us." said Mayor. "Wait, how did knew they are swarming our entire town?" asked Captain Ahmed. "I have no idea, well, now that we're here, ready to head back into the battlefield?" asked Mayor Janet. "Lead the way Ma'am." said Captain Ahmed. After a breath, Mayor Janet heads back into the hall with Detective Clay and Captain Ahmed.
Since as they enter, the yelling goes louder and louder. "People, people, settle down! Let us behave like adults, we are here to discuss the future of our kids here!" yells Mayor Janet. Slowly the yelling quiets down and people rest, giving the mayor to speak.
"Thank you, now with me is Captain Ahmed and Detective Clay, the representatives of the law enforcement who come all the way to report about the situation here." said Mayor Janet. "If they are here, who's in the department?" yells a voice. "This town is trouble from the start, I wish I had never set foot here." yells another.
"My kids are too scared to set foot outside, it's that woods, why don't you raze it to the ground? It's been trouble from the start?" yells another feminine voice. "People, like mayor said, let's behave like adults here, and no, we can't burn a forest down, it's a nature reservation, with the global warming going up, it's only going to make things worse." said Detective Clay.
"Katherine and Fathima are missing detective, how can you expect us to be calm?" yells a voice from the crowd. "I understand your concern, which is why special agents from the US government have come directly to search for your kids, we are trying our best here, as citizens of this small town, we need your cooperation." announced Mayor Janet.
"Special agents from US? Is this a joke? They're our kids, we can find them, uplift the restrictions and we'll find the kids ourselves." yells another. "I am afraid, it's not possible, the forest is too dangerous for civilians now, last thing we need is more people going missing." said Captain Ahmed. "Then what are we supposed to do?" asked a feminine voice from the crowd.
"Nothing, the forest is being handled by authorities, apart from that, we are here to discuss about the future of Mistview Schools, all of them are closed and will not be opened till this situation is resolved, but whether or not the situation calms down, and we are able to send our kids again is exactly why our dear enforcement officers are here to advise us" said Mayor Janet.
"Thank you mayor, well.. like the mayor said, with special agents all the way from US government are here, why the hell are we worried? This unfortunate happened, nothing can change the past, but we can ensure it won't, officially, I've been advised to open schools in Mistview from next week, but being a citizen of our dear town, I can't advise it, agents of government or not, we can't trust them, which is why we need your advice, as a unity to tell us what you suggested about how should we proceed?" asked Captain Ahmed. The crowd becomes quiet, then some of them start discussing from inside. "Should I say something?" whispers Detective Clay. "Nope." replied both Captain Ahmed and Mayor Janet in a chorus voice. After few minutes, the discussed crowd approaches them with a firm decision.
"So, what's the verdict?" asked Mayor Janet. "We know as citizens of Mistview that you guys are trying your best to keep this town stable, and we appreciate that, but like Captain Ahmed said, we don't trust this guys, whoever they are, without a proper representative to represent them, we can't allow them to walk in our town." said Bryce, one of the people from the crowd.
Hearing this, Detective Clay looks at Captain Ahmed who looks at him back, then he looks at Mayor Janet who also shares the same worried look at him.
Meanwhile, in the same dark clutches of Danburg, the place is fully occupied by the DAWNEGARD. But however, deep within the woods, a person is seen sneaking into it from pry eyes. He is able to see many officers heavily armed wandering through, but even then, he proceeds through with caution and successfully reaches the place where the kids first found the Amethyst.
The person opens up his mask and hood and revealed to be Ian who has come all the way on his own to figure out this mystery. He notices water flowing, blocking his way forward, without thinking for a second, he jumps at a greater fear and successfully lands on the other side. Then before soldiers could arrive, he proceeded through. Just as he sprints, he notices the forest is turning more purple in the trees.
Seeing this he's confused, but that doesn't stop since he goes straight through as he gains speed. Finally, after miles of walking, he becomes exhausted as he stops and catches his breath. Just then he hears heavy noises from afar and a familiar voice from one of the bushes close by. Hearing this, he slowly walks close to the bush trying to get a closer look, before he could get a close look, an unknown figure pulls him inside a burrow within the bush. Within pitch blackness, Ian is pulled by a mysterious figure, before he could shout or escape himself, he is suddenly stopped when a soft feminine hand lands on his mouth and prevents him from opening his mouth.
