I walked out, I needed a run, my head was all over the place. My mother had to go through so much and endure something else. She had to pretend, to turn a blind eye to most everything. She pretended to be happy for my sake, she pretended that my father was a great Alpha, a loving husband, and a great father, when behind doors it was everything but. I wouldn't dare ask my father if he forced himself on her more times than he acknowledged.
Stella's hand tightened on mine, and that made me stop and realize that I was dragging her and that she was trying her best to keep up with me. “I am sorry sweetheart… I think, I need a run, Max and I are super upset…” She stood on her tippy-toes and kissed my cheek.
