'Escape!' Gillian's eyes widened, and she tried to spring up only to get pulled back by heavy shackles. "Ugh." She groaned in pain immediately.
Gillian's eyes widened in shock, and she quickly looked around, her heart racing.
She gasped upon realizing that she was in a dressing room, cuffed to the chair she was sitting on.
She found out that she was being prepared by four dressing staff.
Taking a look at herself, Gillian found out that she was in a white lace gown that was designed with diamonds and stone.
A bitter smile appeared on Gillian's face upon realizing that she was being forced to get dressed and prepare for the wedding with Augustus.
Gillian's heart tightened in pain. She understood that what the Arison family was subtly telling her was that she had to go through the wedding regardless of how she felt!
Her hand fell on the white dress and her face contorted with contempt.
Seeing the dress reminded Gillian of how naive she was. She thought she was smart but being in between such a shameless family like the Arison, she realized that she had always been nothing but a fool.
Gillian knew that the Arison family purposely made the dressing staff wear the clothes for her; they wanted to humiliate her beyond words.
