"Sit here!" I said, assisting Muwin on a small brown couch and tossed my purse beside him. He was the little boy I met at the market earlier. I brought him back home because he told me he was lost and nowhere to go.
"Wait here for a while. I will get some clean clothes first for us to wear then I will cook something later. Okay? Be good." I smiled as I ruffled his hair.
"Thanks sister." He smiled back.
"You're so cute!" He laughed as I lightly pinched his pinkesh cheek.
I brought the plastic of several vegetables, bread, and a half kilo of chicken meat to the kitchen and went straight to my room.
I simply changed into loose jogging pants and white shirt while struggling to pick for Muwin. Lastly, I chose a boxer short that I hadn't used yet and a plain red shirt.
"Muwin." I called as I found he was not on the couch. I was holding a small basin and a clean face towel.
"I'm here." He answered as he stepped out from the bathroom.
My house was small. At the center was a living room. The door in front of me was heading to the bathroom while on my back was heading to the kitchen and my room.
As Muwin was approaching me, I couldn't help not to admire his look. He was still young, maybe at the age of 8, but his good look was already notable like a baby boy doll.
"You cleaned yourself?" I asked.
"Yeah. I'm not used to others cleaning me even at home. I'm a man, you know. I had to be responsible for myself." He said, combing his well-trimmed hair with his little fingers.
I giggled. He acted like a big grown man, so adorable.
"Alright then. Here, take these." I handed him the clothes.
He stretched out his hand but he looked at me, confused.
"I don't have a little brother so I have nothing else for you to wear. Just endure it for now."
He sighed. "Fine. Thank you."
As he went back to the bathroom, I also headed to the kitchen. I made a chicken soup and padded three pairs of bread with milk cheese cream.
I was worried Muwin was hungry so I cooked early. As I checked the wall clock on the living room, it was still 4:40Pm.
As the food was ready, I brought it to the living room and put it down on the small table.
"Eat!" I smiled at Muwin who was sitting behavely on the couch. He was like a son of a noble family. Move with poise and subtle.
He didn't move. He just looked at the food.
"You don't like it?" I asked.
He shook his head. "I am not picky when it comes to food. You remember I even ate a dirty fried chicken earlier? It's just--"
"Just what?"
"Do you have a ref?"
"Yes. But what do you want to do with the ref?" I asked confusedly.
He scratched his head and let out a fake laugh as he stated. "I can't eat hot food."
I chuckled seeing his shy look. "I thought you didn't like it. Alright. Wait a minute."

As Muwin finished eating, I sat next to him and inquired. "Since you are already full, now tell your sister what happened?"
"Sister, I'm sorry. I lied. I didn't get lost accidentally. Actually I ran away from home." Muwin said, wiggling his palms.
"Why?"
"Because my brother was recently ignoring me. I hate it because I used to have his attention. So as he ignored me, I was sad. Thus, I decided to run away. Maybe, if i'm gone he will look for me." Muwin lowered his head.
I reached him out and laid his head on my lap. "It's fine. Don't worry, brother may be just busy. But what you did was still wrong. For now I'm sure, he was worried to death searching you around."
"Sorry sister. I won't do this again." He looked up on me then squeezed in his hand around my thigh and hugged it like a real pillow.
I caressed his head. As I saw him yawn, I told him to get sleep.
Immediately, Muwin fell asleep and did I. I didn't know how long we were in that position when suddenly I heard our gate grunting. Someone was trying to get in.
Later, I heard a sound of feet jumping down on the ground.
I got anxious. Who were they? What did they want?
I could not ask questions on myself anymore when a group of gangsters barged forcefully on the door.
"Who are you?" I stuttered, hugging Muwin tightly.
"Search the house." Ordered by the bald fat man from the group.
Immediately, his companions rummaged the entire house but their faces were disappointed as they gathered back in front of us.
"What did you get?" Asked by the bald fat man again.
-"There's nothing much to rob from this house."
-"I only found a laptop boss."
"What? This is a waste operation. Search again." The called boss ordered his fellows again. Then he faced me, "Give me your money."
"Whether you believe it or not, I was broke. I don't have work. So it's impossible that I have money to give you." I answered. My body was shaking in fear.
"Bullshit!" He walked over and grasped my long straight hair.
"Ouchhhh! Let go of my hair." Due to pain, I bit the man's hand.
"Ahhhh! You b***h!" He wanted to slap me when the wind blew strong inside the house and a chair flew towards him and struck his head. He screamed, holding his bleeding forehead as he fell down on the floor.
"Who is bold making a noise?" Muwin said as he stretched his body and sat up. "Oh, I thought my sister was watching a horror movie because I heard freakish voices from my sleep. So it was actually a group of ugly fools."
"Who did you call ugly fools?" The Boss shouted to him. His face was kinking like he ate a lemon.
"Of course, you, you, and you. All of you." Muwin pointed each one of them.
I was astounded as I looked to Muwin. He was calm and even sat with crossed legs. Precisely, he was sitting in a lotus position. I couldn't see a little fear in his eyes, instead, a desire to fight.
What? He wanted to fight with them?
Muwin looked at me and winked. "Sister, don't be afraid. I will protect you. This bunch of morons were nothing for me."
"Muwin, stop joking. It's dangerous." I said.
"I am not joking. I could tell how weak they are.
"Pssssshhh!"
"Ugly bro, how was your head? Does it hurt?" Muwin asked teasingly.
"Is it you who did it?" The boss growled.
"So what if it's me?"
"Muwin?" I reprimanded. My voice was shaking.
"Get the boy." Shouted by the boss.
"You dare?" I intruded. Though I was scared I couldn't let them hurt Muwin. "Whoever touches even a single strand of his hair will die." I took a fork and pointed to them.
My eyes were moving from and to. From the gangsters to Muwin, vice versa. And I was amazed as I saw Muwin meditating. He really has a mood to meditate at this moment.
Despite the boss's head bleeding, he giggled evilly as he put his fingers on his chin, poking one of them to his nose while thinking. "Hmmmm, since we can't get any money-worth things. Then you as a compensation is fine. Hold her." He shouted.
Right away, four of his companions held me. One person each of my feet and hands. I screamed and wagged my entire body with strength. As I managed to slip one of my feet, I booted the boss face who just squatted down close to me in full force.
Due to pain, he unsheathed a knife from his flank and lifted on air. As he was about to stab me, the window broke and a tall figure hopped on directly to the boss.
The boss was flung on the wall.
The tall figure was facing his back on me and a while later, several men entered the house. From the door and the window.
My house was like having an action shoot. A hostage taking scene and eventually kidnappers were caught by the police.
I was staring at the back of my savior that looked familiar to me when a voice suddenly spoke. "Murphy, everything is cleared."
'Murphy?' What the hell! I must be dreaming.' I tapped my cheeks to wake myself.
"Tell Third to send them to the police." The cold omnipotent voice instructed.
Hearing him speak, I was convinced it was really him.
"Brother! You came." Muwin exclaimed happily as he jumped down from the couch and greeted Murphy with a hug.
Murphy turned around as Muwin called. While hugging Muwin, his eyes fixed on me.
"Hi!" I smiled awkwardly. "You finally found me."
