Chapter 9

Queen Rayne – The trip back from the pack. It was delightful to finally get to meet not one, but 3 Dragons. Ember especially held my thoughts. She was so unique. Much like me. I felt for her. As I had to go through my own trials to get where we are today. We knew about the hunters, but as we hadn’t been contacted by the King of the Dragons, we couldn’t step in. We hadn’t heard from them in 2 centuries. Dragons were very private creatures. Therefore, we never knew where they actually had their Kingdom. The stories about the hunters increased and started concerning us. Once they got all of the Dragons would they come after the rest of us? Hence, why it was time for action. Now that the Lycan and werewolf communities were united, it was time to unite the remaining light following species. We had also been hearing whispers of dark creatures coming together to overthrow all kingdoms. Fairies, mermaids, and vampires were difficult to bring together. Each species felt themselves superior. Therefore, uniting them would be a difficult task. My mind saw with thoughts as my husbands attempted to get my attention. “My Love, what is your mind?” Ryder asked. “I’m sorry my love, Ember has consumed my thoughts.” I gave him a meek smile. “We shall steal your mind tonight. I want to be buried deep within you.” Spoke Jace. All I could do was smile. I felt my insides begin to heat up in anticipation of what was to come. Remaining calm, we walked through the palace and up towards our room. I could hear them snickering to each other as we walked, but they spoke privately through mind link. Whatever they had in store for me was going to be interesting. I barely managed to make it into our room before Ryder pounced and had me wrapped around his waist with my legs. Jace was shutting the door and bolting it. His eyes held sinful thoughts as he looked at me. Ryder was peppering kisses along his marking spot. It never got old. My mark always came to life when they licked it and kissed it. I was tossed on our bed and landed with a thud. Jace removed all of my clothing as my king peppered kisses all along my body. I released a giggle as they played with my body. The tingles felt amazing, but it didn’t help. I am extremely ticklish. Ryder made it to my sensitive flower. He began licking his tongue along my bud. His tongue and the tingles dancing between us intensified the euphoria consuming me. Jace played with my n*****s as I moaned in ecstasy. Their onslaught of my body was relentless and it inched me closer and closer to my climax. As I was close to cumming I felt my body heat up. It wasn’t normal heat. It actually hurt a bit. I heard a growl escape both of my mates. Their eyes had gone dark, their wolves were fighting for control. “Oh, my love, you naughty girl,” Ryder said. He plunged his tongue into my wet folds and licked up my juices like it was his last meal. “My Queen, you are in heat.” Jace whispered into my ear. My high was all consuming. I needed their bodies touching every inch of me. I needed relief. They flipped me so my king was beneath me. Carefully situating our bodies, Ryder put his member into me. My second king put his member into my behind. After having been together for many years, I had grown accustomed to the feeling of both of them being within me. Each time I felt myself having to stretch to accept their large members. They relentlessly pounded into me as I came over and over again. With each moment, I could feel them edging closer and closer to their own release. I got a wicked idea and bit down on Ryder. With that, I feel him pulsing within me. I leaned back and bit into Jace as he hung his head over my shoulder. He, too released into me. With the feeling of their warmth, I was consumed by exhaustion and feeling content. As with all of my heats, they last 4 days. 4 days of having their whole attention. Each time my body heated up they would worship my body. The 5th day finally came and we just slept. I had worn them out and my heat always took a lot out of me. The 6th day, we finally emerged. Their betas have been keeping things running in our absence. We were informed that all of the kingdoms had responded and we would have the first kingdom of the seven seas arriving tomorrow. This had me going into over drive. Our staff sprang to life and helped me get the guest rooms ready, the palace cleaned from top to bottom, and we got our menu planned for their stays. Each had their own food requirements. Several times, the omega’s had to go into town to get more food options. All of the freezers and fridges were full to the brim. Having our own “hospital” allowed us to place an order for blood for the vampires. We would be serving steaks which would allow us to eat the same food as them. The only difference was ours would be lightly cooked. They would each be here a few days. So, to avoid catastrophe, they were each scheduled when another would not be there. We also could not house all of them at the same time as each kingdom brought its own security forces and servants. There would easily be 50 or more people brought with each King and Queen. The first would be King Caspian and Queen Elizabetha. We set up a schedule for their time with us. I would be playing host and showing them around the Kingdom on the first day. Then we would hold the meetings for most of the second day. The evening of the 3rd day we will be holding a small party for each one. There they would meet some of the Alpha’s we had within our Kingdom. Our goal was to show them we had nothing to hide. Their arrival was announced mid-morning, the following day. Even though they were Mer people, the royals had the ability to change and walk the land. I had never met any of them, but I had read up on them prior to their arrival. They were different beings and I needed to make sure I didn’t offend them by accident. The hardest ones would be the vampires, but they wouldn’t arrive for another month. Their culture was much more ancient and stricter. Up until a century ago, our species were at war. They didn’t particularly care for us, but understood the need to remain peaceful with one another. They were also concerned about what would happen if the Dragons went extinct. My Kings and I greeted King Caspian and Queen Elizabetha. They were very abrasive at first. As I showed them around the Kingdom, the Queen cautiously started to tell me. King Caspian was harder to read. The day was full of trying foods from our bakeries and seeing our land. The King did seem quite impressed with how we run things. He gave me a very subtle compliment. Dinner that evening had light music as Jace, Ryder, myself, our Betas, and our King’s Guard ate dinner. We talked about many things. Queen Elizabetha told us stories of their Kingdom. By the end of the night, King Caspian had seemed to relax enough to talk with us. Being in the sea, the only direct threat they experience is humans. Their technology was advancing and it was getting harder and harder to keep them out of their space. The following morning, I worked with the palace staff to make a vast array of desserts and treats. They will be set out on a table for them to eat from as we go about business. The kitchen staff would bring us a small buffet of food for lunch. We would discontinue talks once it was time for dinner. Queen Elizabetha was ecstatic about the party we were holding in their honor. It was her first major experience on the surface. King Caspian was very pleased that we were keeping his wife happy. That night, I went to sleep with knots in my stomach as I prepared for the conversations that would come tomorrow. In my conversation with my husbands, we decided it was best if we were open about Ember. I gave her a call earlier and asked her permission to give her secret away. They needed to know the full extent of what we had going on. Morning came too quickly, and I was completely exhausted. I called over to our doctor to ask for a tea that would help me with my energy. He expressed some concern about my sleepiness, but I brushed it off. My mind had taken over last night, and even in my dreams I could hear it working in the background. The morning went by quickly as we finished completing the preparations for the meeting. It was to begin at 8am. Not ideal, but we wanted to avoid talks going too late into the evening. People’s logical thinking and reasoning went out the window when they were tired and hungry. Jace, Ryder, and I stood in the office waiting for them. They were quite punctual, entering the room at exactly 8:00. I motioned for them to sit in some chairs across the desk. This area was not our usual office, but I felt a larger space would prevent them feeling closed in. We took one of our smaller party rooms and converted it to meet the needs for the meeting. I ensured the chairs they would be sitting in would be comfortable, since this could take a full day. “I understand there are a few things we need to discuss, hence your invitation. We appreciate the hospitality you have shown us in our time here. Now, shall we begin?” Queen Elizabetha spoke with confidence. “Yes, we appreciate your attendance and swift response to our invitation. We have grave matters that require us to seek assistance.” Ryder spoke. “In one of our packs, they had taken in 3 Dragons. They have been running from the human hunters. We understand we don’t quite understand to what extent humans are a threat, but we felt you would understand the severity of the situation since they too plague your homes.” Jace took a breath waiting for a response. “Continue” was all King Caspian said. “It has come to our attention that of those 3 Dragons, one is of special circumstance. She is a Phoenix Dragon, the last of her kind. We have been told her future is tied with that of our beloved Queen.” His eyes met mine. I don’t see fear in them. He hates talking. Usually Ryder handles it, but I felt it was important we each took the chance to speak. “To what extent is the girl’s life tied to yours, your highness?” King Caspian asked me. “We do not know. Hestia, the Goddess of the Dragons, has forbidden the seers from telling us. This information was brought to us first by our friend the Light Witch Esmeralda. From there, we spoke with our seers as they knew of my future, but they were told by Hestia they were to go no further. Ember is the Phoenix’s name. She must discover her path on her own. Should she know the future, it would mean their demise.” King Caspain sat and thought a moment. “What do you seek from us?” “With you having a deeper knowledge of humans, we seek your assistance. We need to know why they specifically seek Ember. We understand she is a rare Dragon, but of all the Dragons to go after, why her? And we are trying to understand why her path is so secretive.” Ryder spoke. “Tell me about this girl,” Queen Elizabetha inclined. I told her of Ember. We had to talk about her for several hours as there was a knock on the door, signaling the kitchen staff were there with lunch. Even though they were from the sea, they specifically enjoyed sweets. Queen Elizabetha was especially interested in all the goodies we had to offer. It came to our knowledge; she was in the early stages of carrying her heirs. We learned most Mer people carry multiple children at a time. Royals were actually born on the seashore. For their Goddess, Atargatis requires them to be born on land and sea to keep their abilities to walk the earth and breathe in the water. They normally averaged 6 to 8 children per pregnancy. Mermaids only carried 2 to 3 times in their lives. Queen Elizabeth asked me as to when we would have pups, but I sidestepped the question. Secretly, I suspected I couldn’t have children. It had been years of Ryder, Jace, and I with countless heats. Nothing. I know the witch said I would have them, but I had no sign it was going to happen. She must have felt my change of mood as she apologized for prying and we started a conversation about the sweets we had to offer. We took a 15-minute break and then reconvened. After many conversations, King Caspian agreed to help us not only find the people hunting Ember, but also agreed to sign a peace treaty. They would provide us with aid should we need it. We agreed to do the same. Within the next month, we would receive armor that would allow our warriors to breathe underwater. They would still be able to shift. Things were looking up.
