“I swear baby, it will just be the two of us. I will love you and you alone. That is my promise. The moon is my witness,” I promised her.
“Make me happy Kevin, that is all that I am asking from you,” She stated and I couldn’t hold it any longer.
I leaned in close that our heads were actually touching before I captured her lips in a kiss. The kiss obliterated every thought of mine. For the first time in forever, my mind was locked onto the present.
The worries of the day evaporated like a summer shower into a hot car. My usual mode of hurrying from one thing to the next was suspended. I had no wish for the kiss to end.
