Chapter 6: My Prince Charming

2948 Words
“Can’t we just stay in bed?” Theo pulled me closer to him, his arms on my waist tightening as I felt his body pressed against mine on the cottony sheets.  He buried his face on my neck and I could feel him inhaling deeply as if I was some kind of scented stuffed toy. “How do you always smell so good even after just waking up?” He asked and I felt shy immediately as I hadn't even taken a shower. I probably still smelled like a hotel room cleaner after Alexa and I had to scrub one of the white pillow sheets back to its original color because we accidentally spilled a bit of the pineapple juice we were drinking last night. We got so invested in story time that we didn’t notice it was way past one in the morning already as well.  Somehow we panicked and that’s when it all came tumbling down. The last thing I remembered was high fiving Alexa when we did manage to clean the sheets and we must have been so exhausted from all that work and fell asleep. Theo most likely carried me back to the room.  “Baaabe, we need to shower.” I told him as I tried to wiggle my way out of his hold but he wouldn’t let me, going so far as to wrap his leg around mine.  “No you don’t. You already smell like fresh fruits.” He told me before pushing some of my hair on my neck. I almost chuckled at his response because the only reason I smelled like fresh fruits as he said was probably because of the pineapple juice, but I am unable to speak when his lips suddenly come into contact with my skin.  That warm and slightly wet feeling immediately travelled all over my body and I released a soft moan. Theo always did know what my weaknesses were and one was my neck. It’s just too darn sensitive especially when he does that thing I like where he leaves trails of kisses and his tongue slightly licks my skin.  “Theo…” I whispered in pleasure but at the same time trying to tell him to stop as we needed to get ready.  Obviously it didn't work as I felt his hands caressing my stomach area. Those soft and warm hands of his have managed to go underneath my top and I could feel him tightening and loosening his hold on the side of my waist. My eyes closed as I am unable to contain the elating feeling that he was effortlessly giving to me.  I loved feeling this close with Theo. I loved the fact that he was always so eager to do that for me as well knowing he knew how much he drove me crazy. Every kiss, every lick, and every touch brought me to places I have never before imagined. I can only imagine what it would be like to actually really go all the way with him.  I felt his lower body press behind me and something hard made my eyes shoot open and a small surprised squeak escaped my lips, my cheeks blushing immediately at how embarrassing I must have sounded.  Theo must have caught my embarrassment and immediately whispered into my ear. “Sorry, it’s getting harder and harder for me to control myself around you.” He confessed so seductively into my ears as I felt him grind his hips and I had to grit my teeth in order not to let out a whimper from how turned on I was right now. I wanted him so badly. So bad I don’t even know why we’ve never really ended up doing it. There were many instances that we were alone and this same tempting situation arises, but there was always that feeling that brewed inside of me. It wasn’t that I was scared, but it was a type of fear that stops me. Fear that once I give Theo my all, I can never get it back.  Why would I want it back in the first place? That I didn’t know.  “Valentine… I just love the way you taste.” Theo said so softly, his voice like a melodic symphony of angels and I was floating in the clouds while his tongue and his lips reached my collarbone.  Theo loved calling me by my last name, just as I did. There was something special about it that I never feel when someone else says it. He does call me by Luna as well, but when it was a much more intimate situation, it was always Valentine. Sometimes I knew he wouldn’t be pleased with something I did if he started a sentence with Luna.  I could feel his need to get his hands to move further down from my stomach to way way down below, but it was just like him to not push unless I had given him the go sign to do so. He didn’t want to overstep his boundaries.  But maybe… maybe it’s time to give him the sign.  I licked my lips before biting it, letting myself get lost in the pleasure of his mouth and his hands all over me. I inched my body closer to him and he let out a soft moan as I felt his hardness get pressed against my sleepwear.  “The-” Knock knock.  “Hey, you guys are going to be late for breakfast! We’ll see you downstairs!” We hear Aiden’s demanding voice on the other side of the door and immediately our moment gets disrupted. Theo let out an annoyed groan as the feeling of his kisses on my skin stopped and he buried his face onto my neck instead. “You’ve got to be kidding me.”  I let out a soft chuckle at the immensely terrible timing, but accepted my fate. It must really not be the right time for now, then.  “It’s okay. We will have more time together later.” I reassured my disgruntled boyfriend as I turned my body around and gave him a quick kiss on the cheek.  Strands of black hair popping out of his head, his face having a light glow, cheeks and lips a pinkish tint, and his arm muscles evident on his white shirt… don’t even get me started on the clear boner on his boxers.  Theo Donovan was undeniably and single-handedly the most gorgeous being on planet earth yet he never used that to his advantage. He knew he had me wrapped around his fingers and if he asked me to do something for him, I would.  But still, he never tells me to do things for him. No. He waits for me and that is what makes him even more perfect and impeccable. How did I get so lucky? “You should get ready before world war 3 starts in your stomach.” Theo teased as he pointed out to my grumbling stomach, immediately bringing me back from my momentary daze.  “Hey!” I shouted at him and threw a pillow in which he effortlessly managed to catch because, of course, it’s Theo with the god-like reflexes. “Hmp.” I pouted at him before turning around and stomping my way to the bathroom.  Theo is perfect in more ways than one. One of those includes being perfectly annoying.  - “We’ll meet each other back here at the lobby for the Palace Ball, alright?” Aiden told us for the fifth time in a span of two hours since we had breakfast and got ready for the day.  “Yes for the fiftieth time, Aiden! We got it!” Alexa replied with numerous nods as she calmed her very meticulous boyfriend down.  Theo and I laughed at the side. We both knew how Aiden could be so intricate with time and little details. It’s the exact reason why he was Eastwood High’s beloved and New York University's now. He was a boy with a good heart and a smart brain. Basically a ‘nerd’, but more attractive.  Aiden clicked his tongue as he gave Alexa a look, but it didn’t last too long because Alexa was far more intimidating than him and you could clearly see which one was basically the bossy one in the relationship.  With Theo and I, I would have to say it was both, but then again I had the power per se, to get Theo to do whatever I asked him to, just as he did. But we don’t, really. Neither of us do and we just let our relationship take its course on its own. Maybe that’s exactly why we have such a nice and carefree relationship. It’s because we know that even if we somewhat held the string of each other’s lives and scissors in the other hand, we would never cut it.  “Okay! Enough fighting! We have some shopping to do!” I cut the two off as we were on the verge of bickering in the middle of the car waiting area.  “Love you, Aidy!” Alexa shouted out before we were going inside the car while Aiden replied the same with a flying kiss.  I shook my head in amusement before mouthing the same words to Theo and I caught a glimpse of his gente yet beaming smile and my heart skipped a beat almost instantly. I was going to miss him for the day, but we had more pressing matters in hand.  As soon as we got settled into the car Theo had set up for Alexa and I, the two of us turned to each other and giggled excitedly.  “Where to, ladies?” The driver looked at us from his rearview mirror and we knew exactly where to go.  “IPANEMA NEIGHBORHOOD!” We practically shouted and startled the driver a little bit but he nodded his head in acknowledgement right after.  The excitement between Alexa and I was out of this world. When she told me the story on how she managed to get us inside one of the most exclusive balls in the entire South America which was her bumping into one of her dad’s friends who turned out to be a very important organizer for the event, I could hardly believe it.  What were the odds? Apparently a lot and definitely in our favor!  I immediately had to research where the best place to go shopping for an exclusive Ball would be and chanced upon Rua Garcia ‘Dávila street or just better known as Ipanema Neighborhood. The place is basically a combination of beach-chic and expensive brands so there was no way we wouldn’t be able to find the perfect dress. “Obrigada, Felipe!” I thanked our driver before hopping out of the car, mine and Alexa’s arm linked with each other.  Our jaws instantly drop to the ground when we see where we are. Luxury boutiques and upscale restaurants and cafes scattered the place while women and men ranged from wearing hundred thousand dollar looking suits to diamond studded bikinis. Even kids looked like they were wearing designer clothes! Our summer dresses and gladiator sandals were starting to look like thrift store outfits compared to theirs.  Nonetheless, it seemed as if no one in the streets even cared. All the locals were minding their own business and even if they didn’t, we would never let that get in the way of our fun.  Alexa and I turned to each other and with just one nod, we knew what we had to do - explore! First stop was Louis Vuitton as highly requested or more like as dragged by my best friend. It was funny because I wouldn’t even think about stepping foot into one of these branded shops, but Theo might have spoiled me a little too much.  As much as I wanted to spend my own money, he wouldn’t dare let me go until I took one of his cards. Yes, one of his many cards. I wasn’t the type to overspend on things I knew I couldn’t afford, but that didn’t stop Theo from pampering me.  One day I’d just briefly mentioned how my phone was starting to hang and that I would need to bring it to the shop, and then the next he would surprise me with a new one. I continuously told him not to do that, but in the end I realized one of his love languages was probably gift giving so I ended up accepting it… each and every single gift.  “Holy smokes, this one was made for you!” Alexa immediately grabbed me by the hand to one of the mirrors and placed the dress on top of me.  I was flustered at first until I looked and my mouth hung open at the sight of me. It made me feel a little conceited, but it was hard not to be stunned when the most beautiful red silky dress was placed on me. I felt like a different person and I wasn’t even wearing it yet.  “Let’s take it!” Alexa said and I slightly slapped her hand causing her to screech in pain.  “What was that for?!” She looked at me betrayed.  “You’re crazy! We’re not buying a-” I looked down at the dress to find the price tag and my eyes almost popped out of my socket from the shock. “Fifteen thousand dollar dress?!” I said in disbelief but at the same time trying to keep a low volume.  “Okay, we’re putting this back right now.” I told Alexa as I pulled the gorgeous yet painstakingly expensive dress from her hand.  “You’re no fun. You know that dress was perfect!” Alexa whined to me as soon as we got out of the store and back to the streets.  “There are plenty more shops here, you spendthrift. We’ll find much better ones.” I told her proudly, but deep down inside I wasn’t so sure about that. Truly there was something in that dress that made me feel attached to it, but I snapped my head out of my dreams as I thought about the atrocious price. “I know Theo would want you to spend fifteen thousand dollars… or maybe even fifteen hundred thousand.” Alexa innocently suggested while she pretended to hum casually next to me.  “Oh, go away. You haven’t found a dress for yourself, you know?” I reminded her and she just looked at me with a somewhat mischievous grin.  “What are you looking at me like that for?” I asked her with furrowed brows. “I did find a dress. It’s back there.” She pointed behind us and it was the LV store. “I’ll hang around with you until you find another shop that has a dress you like. That is, if you can find one.” She gave me an evil smirk and I rolled my eyes at her.  I was going to find one. There were a hundred shops here with different designs, I’m sure something as gorgeous or even more gorgeous would show up here. And yet, hours later, a lot of walking, and too many snacks and desserts in the middle, I was beginning to lose hope that nothing else would spark joy in me like that red dress did.  “Darn it. Okay, let’s do it.” I said to Alexa, feeling rather defeated.  She wiggled her eyebrows at me and patted my back. “You’ve made a great choice and Theo’s card deeply appreciates your decision!”  I rolled my eyes at my best friend as she managed to somewhat tempt me into succumbing, but at the same time I also couldn’t help but laugh at her silliness.  - A few minutes before the Palace Ball and Alexa and I could once again barely contain our excitement. Except this time, there was a hint of nervousness with it.  We passed by a mirror and I found myself stopping for a few minutes as I looked at myself up and down. Even though my guilt was still there for spending that much on a dress, I couldn’t deny how gorgeous it made me feel.  Thanks to Alexa’s generosity as well, she treated me to a salon date and we both got our hair and makeup done. I wasn’t going to lie, with my hair half up in a braid and the other half down, my makeup professionally done, and this dress that gave me confidence times one thousand… I felt like a- “My Princess.”  I turned around when I heard a familiar voice speak up behind me and I was greeted by a warm and slightly stunned set of gray eyes.  Well-groomed and well-dressed, he was wearing a black tuxedo that was perfectly straight and crisp complete with the cutest bow-tie. His black hair pushed back with hair gel making all of it stay in one place and made him seem very high class. I knew Theo cleaned up nicely when need be, but the last time that need was was during Senior Prom, so I had almost forgotten the feeling I had laying my eyes on the most dashing and attractive man there is.  Theo Donovan stood in front of me, hands stretched out with a smile that released a thousand butterflies in my stomach.  He is beyond a doubt... “My Prince Charming.”
