Catalina’s POV The first day is pretty easy. We hike along the river, stopping for meals, and make our first camp before nightfall. “Day one down, two to go.” Caleb says. I make the camp fire, because, you know, phoenix. Caleb and Alastair set up the tents. For dinner we have some sandwiches that I brought. Tomorrow we’ll have to hunt or fish for our food. Caleb brought up a genius plan to just pop home every night, to sleep and eat, but I felt it defeated the purpose. Plus Alastair said he’s not sure if he could bring us right back to our exact spot since he’s unfamiliar with the area. I don’t want to take any chances and mess up our experiment. As the sun goes down we sit by the fire and enjoy the sounds of the great outdoors. It’s beautiful here, surrounded by the mountains. “S
