Azariah's POV:
I stood there and stared at the symbols and the few words. The translation made me think I translated it wrong. It had nothing to do with the portion of the scroll that it was on let alone any other part of the scroll. My eyes fell upon it again and I looked at it carefully just to make sure. Regardless of what I thought I saw, it doesn't change what it says and it really does say, "Help me before he kills me."
"Dad," I heard Axel's voice as he walked into the room.
I quickly rolled up that part of the scroll as if I was done with it and looked over at him.
"Mom is going to be here soon. It's probably best if you weren't here when she got here." He told me and I looked over at the time.
