CHAPTER 6 – Two mates

Author’s POV

After two days of Samira’s kidnap

“Good evening Alpha Lex” Beta Marius greeted him at the airport.

“Good evening, beta. How was the pack doing? I hope you got some experience with the pack running as the Beta while Alpha was unavailable,” Alpha Lex said, adjusting his back on the comfortable car.

“Of course, I was glad you were being so kind to hand over the pack duties even for a few days to gain the experience I needed,” he sheepishly said.

“I was glad you were available to hand over the pack duties. I am sure you will perform as the Beta just like William did,” he said with a smile.

“I promise you that I’ll be a better one than William. Oh, Alpha speaking about William, his mate Samira was gone,” Marius said.

“What do you mean by gone? I asked her to let me know her decision. Does this mean she rejects you and leaves the pack according to the pack rules?” Alpha Lex asked with a questioning look on his face.

“She came to me and said she was uninterested in me, but I politely asked her if she could stay as a partner. Alpha, you know I already have a mate, and my wolf and I don’t like to even tough another female. She was expecting a physical relationship with me, but I told her I was not interested in another woman. I am sorry, Alpha” Marius made a face sorrow face.

“Really? I never thought that Samira would come out like this. It was passed only a few days before her mate’s death. It’s all right, Marius; you don’t need to ask for forgiveness. I understand your feelings, but I thought at least Samira would let me know her decision. It was not right leaving the pack as this,” Alpha Lex said with a sadness-laced tone.

“Alpha, she gave me this to hand over to you,” said Marius taking a piece of paper from his pocket and handing it over to Alpha Lex.

Alpha Lex took the paper and unfolded it to read. He doesn’t know that Marius is looking at him with a smirk.

“What was that about Alpha?” Marius asked.

“She has clearly said she was leaving the pack alone and informed the council. It’s her choice; I wish I were there to see her for one final time” Alpha Lex remembered how Beta William and he played since childhood. They were childhood friends. Alpha Lex was the happiest one during Beta William and Samira’s wedding. He couldn’t believe that Samira had emerged as a character he had never thought of.

“Alpha, what do you want me to do? Do you want me to find her and bring her back or….” Marius was disturbed by Alpha Lex’s thoughts.

“No, Marius, let her be wherever she is. If she needs us, she will reach me; after all, she has written a note from her own hands,” Alpha Lex said, looking outside the vehicle mirror and leaving a deep exhale.

Samira’s POV

The shivering cold was not there. The warmth was wrapping around my figure. I was getting started to feel my wolf. She was doing her best to raise her head and walk, but she was still weak, just like me. I began to get recollect the memories. The rogues abducted me, then tortured me to the death, but suddenly William appeared and saved me.

Did he save me? Did I hallucinate? Did I die in their dungeons and go into William’s arms? Who was the one who came into the dungeons by breaking those strong iron doors?

Who wants to come for me, besides no one knows that I was in the captivity of rogues. I was slowly becoming another wolf in the pack to others. I was no more the beta female. My only worry was that I couldn’t reveal the truth about Marius. Alpha Lex must be looking for me. I have to find a way to reach him, but before that, I want to figure out where I am.

My eyes were tightly shut, and I suddenly felt the warm thing covering me moving. What was that thing? Was that William? With great effort, I opened my eyes and blinked for few times. The place looks like heaven. I am indeed dead and walked to heaven. The fragrance of the flowers brought me a soothing feeling.

“W…illiam…where are…you?” I asked with great difficulty.

“Who is William?” I heard a deeply intoxicating voice right closer to my right ear. I quickly turned to see a half-naked man lying closer to me.

“W…ho a…re you?” I was afraid to see the man and wanted to jump out from where I was lying.

“No, careful, you will fall” Before I could move an inch he pulled me into his naked chest.

The moment I felt the sparks, the exact sparks I felt with William. It was mate sparks! What the f*ck was happening here?

Danian’s POV

I woke up from a comfortable sleep. It was so addicting to sleep next to him and cuddle her. It was the best sleep I had. Hunter was purring like a cat to cuddle more in our mate’s embrace.

“It’s so great to sleep with our mate buddy; I am excited to meet her when she wakes up,” Hunter mind linked to me.

I gently caressed her cheeks and lightly brushed my fingers on her skin. Then I suddenly saw a bite mark on her neck. I looked closer and discovered that it was a wolf bite! More, it was a mate marking!

I quickly sat back on the bed and touched it. It was not an Alpha mark, but I recognized it as a bite mark from a ranked wolf.

No, no, was she having another mate? How the hell is this possible? I found her after years and don’t want to share her with anyone. I will kill whoever comes across between us. A blood-curdling thought came to my mind.

She was stirring in her sleep. I moved a bit from her body; her facial expressions changed quickly. Then I came closer again; a peaceful look came to her face. She was trying to open her eyes. She is gaining her consciousness back.

“I still feel that her wolf was not perfectly recovered,” Hunter said.

“Let’s see, buddy” I was looking at her carefully. She opened her eyes and looked a bit for her right side. She still didn’t notice that I was there. She blinked her eyes and whispered a name.

“Who is William?” I asked her gently. As soon as she saw me, she enlarged her eyes and was about to jump out of bed, but I carefully wrapped my arms around her. I feared she would get hurt if she fell from the bed, and the attached saline to her wrist and other machines would pull out from her body. It will give her much pain.

“Easy there, careful. You will fall from the bed” She looked at me with a shocking surprise.

“W…ho ar…e you? Where am I? Where’s William?” she asked, looking around the bedroom. Her big doe eyes and shivering under my embrace brought a cute feeling towards her from my heart.

“Who is William? This is my bedroom,” I said.

“Y..our bedroom? What happens..ened here? Where are my clothes, and why are you half naked?” she pushed me away, but I couldn’t let her go.

“Stop pushing me. I can’t let you go because if you fall from the bed, it will hurt you,” I gently said.

“Don’t touch me; get away from me,” she was afraid.

“You can’t say that; I have the right to touch and care for you,” I replied.

“No one has any right on me other than William; please call him. He saved me from the rogues’ tears dwelling in her eyes.

“Don’t be afraid and let me clear with something; I was the one who saved you from rogues, and until you tell me who the hell this is, William, I won’t allow you to go?” I said affirmingly, but careful to be gentle on her.

“W..illiam was my mate! W..ho are you,” she said. My guess was correct; she has a mate.

“I am your mate!”
