Violet Mercado
"Hi!" Jun greeted me outside my apartment.
"Get lost," I said, then walked past him.
"Please don't be like that. It's hurting me." He said, then held his chest and said he was hurting from what I said.
"I don't care," I said.
"Let me carry your bag for you," he said, then took my bag without asking if I would let him.
"Give it back," I said, then stopped walking.
"Just let me," he said, and put his arms around my shoulder.
"Let me go," I said, but he acted like he didn't hear what I said, then forced me to walk with him. "Hey! Will you please let me go?" I said, annoyed.
"Nope," he answered.
"You're so annoying," I said while we walked to school.
"I don't want to marry someone I don't love," he said, then I remember what dad said yesterday. He has no idea that I am the one he wants him to marry.
"I don't want to be with you," I said.
"You can learn to love me," he said.
"I will never love you."
"Don't worry, because I love you," he said, then kissed me on my forehead.
*DUG*DUG*DUG*DUG*DUG*
"Why did you kiss me?" I said in a calm voice, even though I was annoyed. This is the first time someone kissed me on my forehead. It kind of feels good to receive a kiss on the forehead.
"I just want you to feel that I will take care of you. So don't be afraid to fall in love," he said. That's why I looked up at him. He looked at me too, and our eyes met.
"You can say that now that you will take care of me, but the time will come that you will eventually know everything about me. You will hate all about it and leave my life like you never loved me," I said while looking straight in his eyes.
"Then tell me who you are, so I can come up with a way to do something about it," he said, which made me look away.
"Anyone can know who I am, but before that, I have to do something," I explained.
"Can't I know something about it?" He asks.
"No," I answered.
"Whatever it is, I think I can set it aside for the girl I love," he said.
"You are being an i***t," I said.
"I can't help it. I just suddenly felt it. I can't stop what I feel because if I try to stop, I'll hurt myself," he explained.
...
"Violet? What's up with you and Jun?" Jenn asked me while eating in the cafeteria.
"Nothing," I answered.
"Nothing? I've been hearing your name and Jun," Lester said.
"It's not right to talk about a person behind his back," Jun said from behind.
" All of the students of your school are talking about both of you, then you are telling us that it is not right to talk about you behind your back?" Vincent said, annoyed.
"Hey, you three, I don't know what you are planning to do with Violet, but let me tell you this, if something happens to Violet, and it is you who did it, I won't waste a moment to make you suffer," Jun threats my gangmates.
"Shouldn't we be the ones telling you those things?" Vincent asked.
"You transferred here out of nowhere after something bad happened to Violet. Who do you think is the suspicious one?" Felix appeared from somewhere, all of their attention went to him and I was near finishing my meal.
"How long have you known Vio-" I didn't let Jenn finish what she was about to say.
"They are my friends, that's why I'm with them," I said, then stood up. "So there's no problem with that," I added, then walked away.
Dad suddenly called after I left the cafeteria. "Hello," I answered.
[We have dinner later with the Villaruels, so fix yourself. Come here at 7 pm.] He said and ended the call.
"It is getting more and more annoying. Why are there so many hindrances to the things I want for my life," I whispered to myself, then went straight home.

I was about to take Violet to her apartment but Mom suddenly called and said that we had had dinner with my soon-to-be-fiancee. Because of what she said, I ran to the parking lot. I was about to escape from Mom but when I got there my car was gone.
"Where is my car!" I asked loudly to whoever was there. They looked at me and none of them answered my question.
"I am the one that took your car," Mom answered from behind me, so I turned around. "Mom?" I asked in surprise when I saw her.
"I knew that you knew how to run off, so I decided to pick you up. Let's go," Mom said, then pulled my ear and made me go inside the car.
"Ow! Ow! Mom it hurts!" I said when we got inside the car.
"Let go," Mom said to the driver and we are now heading home.

"I thought you wouldn't come," Dad said the moment I arrived at the restaurant.
"I don't have any choice, right?" I said, then took a seat and crossed my arms while waiting for Jun's family to arrive.
"I have to pee," I said, then stood up and quickly went inside the comfort room. Dad let me go to the comfort room even though I had nothing to do there. I just want to stay there for a little while.

"Whatever! I'll ignore her." I said to them while sitting in front of my fiancee's father.
"Finally, you're back," my father said, ignoring the girl. I tried not to look at her or in her direction. She went from the comfort room. A good thing is the comfort room is behind me.
"Hija," Mom said to the girl, I still refuse to look at the girl.
"I will still ignore her whatever happens," I said while crossing my arms and looking in different directions.
"Can you please stop doing that to Violet?" Mom said. That makes me think that she is the same Violet that I know.
"Violet?" I asked surprised, then look at the girl in front of me. It is indeed Violet that still wears the school uniform.
"You know each other?" Mom asks with wider eyes because of amazement.
"Mom, she is the girl that I am talking about, the one that I love," I said, then going near Violet, even though wondering why she was there, and how come she became my fiancee.
"You do know each other. Why didn't you tell me, Violet?" Her father asks.
"I don't like him," I said briefly.
"Oh please Violet," I said, then put my arms around her shoulder.
"Well, you already know each other so, let's take a seat," Violet's father said, so I went back to my seat.
"Violet's 18th birthday is getting near, same as you. You are turning 19. All we want is to arrange your marriage before your birthday," he started.
"I said, I don't like him," Violet said.
"I told you I didn't want your opinion," her father said to her. Violet no longer spoke.
"Jun, I expect that you will take good care of Violet," her father told me.
"Oh, of course, sir," I answered.
"That's all we want you to know, the rest is all up to both of you. We'll leave both of you now so you have time for yourselves," Mom said, then stood up.
"Oh, okay," I said. If I just knew from the start that Violet was the girl that I would marry, then I wouldn't have refused awhile ago.
"I'll give Violet's address to you tomorrow," her father told me.
"No need sir, I already know where she lives," I explained to him.
"That's good then. We'll leave now," he said, then leaving together with mom.
"I don't like you," Violet said, then walked away. I followed her, of course.
