I pretended to be asleep when I was actually awake, I didn't move and kept my eyes closed, but I could feel Roxanne standing nearby as if she was busy doing something in my room.
I felt her sitting on the side of my bed and gently caressing my cheek before kissing me on my forehead.
I was stunned because I will never forget that kiss on my forehead.
I now know she was the one who looked after me every night while I was in the hospital because of that kiss on my forehead and her soft caress on my cheek.
But that's not what bothers me right now; it's what she said. Why is it so heartbreaking to hear that she would leave me and never return after I am fully recovered?
