(Hardin's pov)

when Aspen went into the bathroom I took a deep breath and sighed in relief that she trusted me to do that with her. I sat there with a big smile on my face and waited on her to come back so I could excuse myself to the bathroom. my member was harder than a boulder and throbbing so I was going to need to take care of it. when she came back I told her I had to use the bathroom and when I closed the door I saw her phone sitting there opened to her text to Trini all I saw was "**OMG just had an O**" I smirked at her text. after I peed I started stroking myself but I wasn't getting any pleasure out of it I stroked a few more times but nothing. ugh, this meant I was going to be in pain the rest of the night. I asked her why she was scared and she said because of what she heard before we left my pack. I told her everything would be ok and we would get to the bottom of it when she came back home and then I told her I would come back in a few days and stay until she had everything taken care of here. she nodded and I leaned in and kissed her. I called Jakob and told him to come pick me up. Aspen and I went and had breakfast in her packhouse and then went and hung out with Wyatt and Trini until Jakob called and told me he would be arriving in 30 minutes. Aspen and I went back to her apartment to spend time together which ended up in a full-on make-out session until Jakob texted and said he was pulling up. I kissed Aspen bye and put my bag in the car then headed home. we were halfway there when Jakob pulled over and asked me what was wrong I told him nothing and he looked me dead in the eyes and called me a liar. he said,

"dude we've been friends our whole lives and I know when something is wrong with you now spill it, man." I sighed because I knew he wouldn't let this go if I didn't come clean with him.

Jakob was my best friend and I trust him with my life so I finally turned and told him about what Aspen heard before we left to go to her pack and then I told him how even though I just left not too long ago I was missing my mate. he sat there in shock at what I told him and said,

"Hardin, what are we going to do?" I looked at him and told him I didn't know what to do because Aspen didn't know who she had overheard so I had no clue where to start.

I told Jakob to drop it for now that all I wanted to do right now was get my suite ready for my beautiful mate to come home to me he nodded and said,

"yes sir."

once we got back to our pack I got my laptop out and started looking for a few things I thought Aspen would like to have so I bought her a vanity for her to do her makeup at I bought her a bathrobe set with her name sewn into it I ordered 3 dozen roses to be delivered the day she comes home which I'd have Jakob put around our suite before we arrive and I ordered 1 dozen chocolate covered strawberries and I placed an order with the kitchen for a special dinner and mine and her favorite dessert. I wanted her to come home to see just how much I love her. I pulled out my phone and dialed Aspen's number she picked up and said,

"hi baby ugh I miss you so much already. it's quiet here and it sucks." I could see her pouty face without even being there I chuckled at her and said I missed her too and it was pretty quiet here to without her.

she asked me when I was coming back and I told her I had a few things I had to take care of here before I headed back to her pack she pouted again and I couldn't help but laugh at how cute she was. we talked for a few minutes and then I decided to go shower and get ready for dinner. when I got out of the shower there was a knock at my door I figured it was my dad but when I opened the door I was face to face with one person I didn't want to see. Daphanie was standing there in a extremely short dress wearing hooker heels she pushed me backwards and pushed me against the wall I told her to get out and she shook her head she said she came to give me something I needed and when I asked her what that was she told me she came to pleasure me I almost vomited I turned away from her and told I her to get the f*ck out of my room but when I turned back she had taken her dress off and was standing there in her bra and panties I turned my head and mind-linked Jakob and told him to bring his camera I turned back and stood there I saw Jakob peek around the door frame and hold the camera up just as he did Daphanie started to dance and touch herself I yelled ENOUGH and she jumped I told her that I was not interested in her and that I loved Aspen and she made me sick I told her to put her clothes back on and get out that I would never sleep with her that I was saving myself for my Luna and she laughed and said "that girl doesn't even compare to me she can't pleasure you the way I can" and by this point my blood was boiling I yelled at her that she was right Aspen would never compare to her because Aspen was more woman than she would ever be and that the only pleasure I wanted was from my pure mate I didn't want tainted pleasure I picked up her dress and threw it at her and said to get her slutty a** out of of my room before I had her arrested for undermining her Alpha. Jakob took off to my office before she left my room and when she was out of sight he came to my door and said,

"dude what the f*ck is her problem you've told her at least a hundred times you didn't want her." I said yeah I know I don't understand why she won't leave me alone.

he asked me why I wanted him to record her and I said I needed it as proof for when Aspen comes back and he looked at me funny. I told him I'm not going to keep that from her and I wanted to show her when she came back so she didn't think I was lying that and I had a feeling I was going to need it soon to show the elders. when Jakob and I were heading home I was thinking about who could be behind that phone call Aspen heard and one person that came to mind was Daphanie because she was obsessed with me. I got dressed and Jakob and I headed down for dinner.
