CH.18

(Jakob's pov)

I was walking down the stairs to head to the kitchen to see what was for dinner when I saw Hardin and Aspen heading out the back towards to woods near where Hardin likes to go to think. when I reached the end of the stairs I heard a bunch of girls talking and one of them happened to be Daphanie. I stopped and hid behind the wall to listen to what they were talking about and of course, it was about Hardin and Aspen. Daphanie was telling the other girls about how she deserved to be Luna of this pack and how pretty soon Hardin was going to leave Aspen and be with her. I have known Hardin my whole life and I know for a fact he would never take Daphanie as his mate even if he hadn't found Aspen. one of the girls asked her how she planned on getting Hardin and she said she had just gone out and bought some new outfits that he wouldn't be able to ignore all the girls asked about her new outfits and what she was going to do to get his attention she just laughed and said,

"she was just going to sit back until the time was right then she would make her move." one of the girls asked what she meant by that and she said, "things for the Alpha and his b**ch of a mate are starting to go downhill and it won't be long before I am knocking on his door and he lets me in."

I shuttered at the thought of her with my best friend. I was going to mind-link Hardin but I remembered when he goes out to his spot he blocks the mind link. I decided to wait until later when we went up for dinner. I walked past the girls and Daphanie stopped me and asked where I was going. I looked at her and said who are you, my mother? she glared at me. I told her it was none of her da*n business where the Beta of the pack was going and she had better mind her manners when speaking to me. she opened her mouth and was going to say something when I said unless you want to deal with your Alpha for disrespecting a ranked member. she closed her mouth and turned her head. I laughed so hard at her when I walked off and I could hear her b**ching as I walked to the kitchen. when I walked into the kitchen I saw all the kitchen omegas running around with all kinds of side foods in their hands. I asked what was on the menu for tonight and one of the omegas looked at me and said,

"Beta Jakob the Alpha has requested something special for dinner for the 4 of you tonight. if you don't mind please make your way out of the kitchen so we can work." I laughed and said yes ma'am since she was an older omega I still had respect for my elders.

I left the kitchen and headed up to my office, when I walked in there was an envelope on my desk that just had my name on it. I had a feeling I knew who it was from and when I opened it a smile formed on my face. it was a sweet note from Annalynn saying she was excited for dinner tonight and that she has missed being near me. she signed with XOXOXO my heart melted no girl has ever made me feel like this and I was so happy it was coming from a girl who came from a good background and who was still pure. I wish to the moon goddess I could take back me sleeping around but I can't all I can do now is hold off on s*x until Annalynn was old enough. I decided to go lay down for a bit until close to dinner time then I'd shower and head to Hardin and Aspen's room. I slept for about an hour before I woke up from a dream and needed a cold shower. after my cold shower, I got dressed and headed down the stairs to see if Hardin and Aspen had come back yet and to see when dinner would be ready. I went to the kitchen and asked if things were ready and the same older omega told me to get out things would be ready soon. I laughed then walked back to the stairs I mind linked Hardin and asked if they were back yet and he said they were upstairs getting ready for dinner I said ok cool I'll be up soon. as I was walking up the stairs I saw Walker talking to Annalynn and then he walked off I played it off as I didn't see him because I knew Daphanie was still hanging around and if I asked Annalynn what he wanted it could ruin our plan. I walked up the stairs and headed to Hardin's floor and when I got to his door it was cracked but I heard some noises I didn't need to hear. I stepped back from the door and mind-linked Hardin and told him the door was cracked and he could be heard in the hall he cut the mind link off and opened the door and laughed and said,

"dude I was moaning over all the food we have coming up." then he leaned in and said they still hadn't mated and they wouldn't be doing anything like that knowing they had company coming.

once I was in their suite Aspen came out of their room and said she was excited about our dinner date and was excited to spend time with Annalynn and me. I sat down and we waited for Annalynn and the food to come up.

(Annalynn's pov)

as I was getting ready to go up to my brother and Aspen's suite Walker stopped me and told me that Mikael wanted to hang out with me and talk. I looked at Walker like he just grew 3 tails and said why in the moon goddesses name would that jerk want to talk to me. he winked at me and I knew then it had something to do with Daphanie's plan. I saw Jakob out of the corner of my eye and knew he saw us but he turned the other way. after Walker walked off I went to my room and changed my clothes then headed to my brother and Aspen's suite. when I got to the door it was already open and the kitchen omegas were putting the food on the table. Aspen ran up to me all excited and was giggling I just laughed at her. Hardin and Jakob were sitting at the table, Jakob got up and pulled my chair out for me and my brother pulled Aspen's out for her. we sat there and eat a delicious meal of steak, sauteed green beans, grilled corn on the cob, baked potatoes, salad, and garlic bread. when we were done with dinner Aspen got up and went and grabbed a container and 4 bowls with spoons when she took the lid off I knew that was Hardin's idea of dessert it was his Strawberry fluff cake. we sat here talking and enjoying our dessert once we were finished with that Aspen told us to go sit in the living room and she went into the kitchen and got 4 coffee cups and everything we needed for coffee. we all sat there full and laughing from all Jakob and Hardin's stories and some of mine and Aspen's. it was close to 11 when Jakob and I left Aspen walked me to my room and Hardin took Jakob to his office. when we got to my room I told Aspen I needed to talk to her and I closed and locked my door. she sat down on my bed and I turned my radio on so no one could overhear us. I told Aspen about Walker approaching me telling me Mikael wanted to hang out and talk to me and then he winked at me she nodded and said,

"set up a time and a public place to see what he has to say and I will have Jakob and Hardin close by watching you," I told her I would and I would let her know the details.

she got up and left my room and I laid back on my bed and smiled I just had my first date with my mate even if it was with my brother and his mate. I enjoyed our date and can't wait until the next one. I was laying there thinking about Jakob and his gorgeous smile when I got a text from an unknown number. it said,

**hey beautiful can't want to spend some one-on-one time with you**

I knew it wasn't Jakob so it had to be Mikael. I replied,

**um I don't even know who this is so there won't be anyone on one with you**

I mind-linked Hardin to tell him I was getting a text from someone whose number I didn't have saved and I thought it could be Mikael so I asked him to come down to my room. I heard a knock a few minutes later and when I opened the door it wasn't just Hardin. it was my brother, Aspen, and Jakob. I looked at my brother and said um why did everyone come with you? he looked back and said,

"well let us in and I will tell you." I opened the door and once everyone was in my room I shut and locked the door.

Hardin looked at me and said "I have Aspen and Jakob with me so they can see the message too." he then told me from now on when I get a message I am to take a screenshot and send it to one of them.

I said ok and opened my text messages for Hardin to look at. he started cursing and said,

"it is that son of a b**ch! why is he texting you Annalynn?" I looked at my brother and said hmm well let's see his crazy a** sister is in love with my brother and is plotting to get rid of my future sis in law thinking she will take her place so I am assuming she is using her brother to get close to me in order for her to get close to you does that make any sense as to why he would be texting me?

my brother sighed and apologized and said "I know you wouldn't willingly talk to him and it p***es me off that they are using you to try and break Aspen and me up."

then he said he wonders why Mikael is even involved in Daphanie's plan Aspen spoke up and said, "maybe because I humiliated him in from of the pack and aired his dirty little secret to all the girls here and he wants his revenge too."

Aspen told Hardin about Walker telling me Mikael wanted to hang out with me and talk and that she told me to agree to it and give her the details so she can have him and Jakob hide close by to keep an eye on me. they said that was a good idea and then both my brother and Jakob at the same time said they wouldn't let him lay a hand on me. Aspen and I both laughed at my protective big brother and my protective mate. once they left I laid back down on my bed thinking about dinner and fell asleep.

(Aspen's pov)

once we left Annalynn's room I asked Hardin if we could go talk in private he nodded and said his office would be the best place to go talk. Jakob said good night and headed to his floor. Hardin and I went up to his office and when he closed the door and locked it I pushed him into the door and crashed my lips into his. he let out a small growl and I broke the kiss and stepped back. I asked him what was wrong and he smiled and said,

"nothing is wrong baby I enjoyed that." I looked at him confused and said if you enjoyed it then why did you growl?

he chuckled and said, "that wasn't me growling baby," he told me Blaze surfaced and the growl came from him I said oh so Blaze didn't enjoy it then?

his eyes changed from his normal golden brown to an amber color and then he said "hello mate" I looked at him for a moment and realized I was staring at Blaze, not Hardin.

I said hello Blaze I'm sorry if I did anything to make you growl he looked at me and cupped his hand on my cheek and said, "my beautiful mate you did nothing wrong, the growl you heard was from pleasure, not anger." I said oh ok and I apologized to him for not understanding what his growl meant.

he said, "my beautiful mate you do not need to apologize for the innocence in you we understand this is all new and scary for you because it is all new and scary for your alpha as well."

I told him I know it's all-new for Hardin as well and that I am trying to get past what happened to me when I was 14 so that Hardin and I can completely bond and become the Alpha and Luna we are meant to be. Blaze asked if he could try something with me and I hesitated he promised he wasn't going to hurt me and I knew he wouldn't but I was still nervous as to what he had in mind. I finally nodded and the next thing I knew he grabbed me tightly and pulled me into an aggressive kiss and out of nowhere a soft growl escaped my mouth. I gasped and apologized Blaze chuckled and said,

"that was Sapphire not you mate". I blushed and said why did she growl? he looked at me and said "did you enjoy that kiss?" I blushed even more and said I did but why would Sapphire growl?

Sapphire then spoke and said "because we liked how our mate kissed us. he can kiss us soft and gentle or he can kiss us aggressively and we still enjoy it." Blaze stood there staring at me and when I looked up at him I asked if he would let Hardin take control again.

he nodded his head and said, "it's been a pleasure, my beautiful mate." I watched as Hardin's eyes went from the amber color back to his golden-brown eyes.

he smiled and said, "hi baby now that you have met Blaze I can't wait until I get to meet Sapphire." I asked him how do I let her out so he can meet her he laughed and said "baby she will be able to guide you through that I can't explain how to." I nodded and then closed my eyes I took a deep breath and asked Sapphire to come forward so Hardin could meet her.

she told me to relax and let her do everything the next thing I knew I felt like I was seeing everything from another person's point of view. I guess this is what it's like for Sapphire. I could hear everything she was saying to Hardin and it wasn't weird either. after a few minutes, Hardin asked Sapphire to give control back to me and she did. when I opened my eyes he stood there smiling and said he was happy to finally get to meet her. Hardin walked up to me wrapped his arms around my waist and pulled me into a kiss. he then asked me what I was wanting to talk about. I told him it was about what happened to us after I was announced as his Luna I asked him if something was wrong with me he cupped my cheek and said,

"baby there is nothing wrong with you what happened, happened to both of us, not just you." I told him it was bothering me that no one has ever seen that happen before and we can't find anything in books about it.

he said, "I know baby it is bothering me too but we can't sit here and just focus on that when we are about to send my sister to go hang out with Mikael to see how he fits in with Daphanie's plan." I told him I know and I'm going to be in my right mind when Annalynn gives me all the details as to when, where, and what time.

after we talked we headed to our room while walking to our door I was thinking back to the night Hardin and I explored things together he opened the door and once we were inside the room Hardin looked at me and said,

"baby I know what you are thinking about" I snapped out of my thoughts and said oh really Mr. mind reader tell me what I was thinking about. he smirked at me and said "you were thinking about intimately being with me"

I stopped dead in my tracks and asked him how he knew that he laughed and said "I can sense that you are aroused baby and it's ok that you are there isn't anything wrong with it." he then told me he thinks about it too but it's when I'm not around him so that is why I can't tell he is aroused.

I said oh then told him I was going to take a bath I walked into the bathroom and stared at myself in the mirror. I hate that I am terrified to be intimate with my mate and I am scared Hardin is going to get to a point where he won't be willing to wait anymore. I started crying, Hardin opened the door and asked me what was wrong I tried to tell him it was nothing but he wasn't going to let it go unless I told him so I did and he held me in his arms and told me that he wasn't going anywhere and he didn't mind waiting until I was ready. he told me that he was fine with the things we have already done and he would never pressure me into more. I know he means what he is saying and it's not like I don't want to mate and mark each other but I still can't get past what happened to me. Hardin let go of me and walked over to the tub he turned the water on and added some of my bubble bath once the tub had filled up he told me to get undressed and to get in a relax. Hardin left the bathroom and I got in the tub.
