Chapter 3 Marc gets hurt

When Marc and Mika arrived at the pack they saw their team of enforcers, hunters, trackers and warriors getting ready and packing the trucks. They smiled at each other and intertwined their hands then they walked up to their team and greeted them. the alpha smiled worriedly at his deltas and hugged them while telling them to come home alive. They answered with a nod and walked to the front truck and sat down in the backseat then they left. They had a total of 6 black trucks with bulletproof windows. The whole truck had hidden weapons everywhere. It was a four-hour ride to the pack they were going to help and apparently, they had some problems with rogues and as they are a neighbor and allied pack, they must help them. but something didn’t sit well with them and before they reached the pack, they immediately sensed that something was very wrong and order the drivers to turn around and drive back to the pack house fast. And they did. When they reached the pack, they saw the warriors forming a circle around their alpha while fending of some rogues. Their beta and gamma fought off ten rogues together as a pair. The deltas jumped out of the car and took out their guns with silver bullets and shot as many rogues as they could, and their team did the same. Except that some of their team members used bow and arrow, stabbing with poisoned knifes etc. to kill the rogues. Marc then hurried with his mate towards the alpha when he saw a rogue running towards his mate, so he pushed her towards the alpha and the alpha caught her but the rogue bit Marc into his left shoulder, he took his gun fast and shot the rogue in his head. He felt his skin burn and how his wolf got weaker that’s when he knew that the rogue, he killed had poisoned his teeth and mind linked his team and alpha about this. The rest of the rogues retreated, and the pack doctor came running and carried him away to the pack hospital. His mate and alpha followed. They put him in the ER and started to give him a blood transfer so he didn’t die of blood loss then they took some blood samples and walked away with them to the lab so that they could find out which poison it was so that they can heal him faster and after two hours of doing everything they can to stop him from bleeding out they finally got the test result back from the lab. But it wasn’t any good news they have never heard of this poison before which meant that he would probably die. The pack doctor gave the news to his mate and their alpha. Mika broke down in tears and picked up her phone and called Aria.

Beep. Beep. beep.

“Hello. Mika is that you?” said Aria.

“Hhi yes.” Mika said weakly while sobbing.

“What’s wrong? What happened? Why are you crying?” Said Aria worriedly.

“Marc he’s dying. He got poisoned because he protected me and now, they don’t recognize the poison so they can’t help him. Aria, please help me I can’t do this I can’t lose my mate the love of my life and best friend.” Said Mika in hiccups from sobbing.

“No! I won’t let my friend die. Mika, can you tell me what the name of the poison is and what the side effects are?” said Aria.

“Thanks. Well, we don’t know the name only the ingredients which is wolfsbane, silver, vampire blood mixed with snake poison. And the side effects are weakening his wolf, stop him from healing, severe blood loss, burning skin, and excruciating pain.” Said Mika.

“No, it can’t be. I’m on my way tell them to put some cold water in a bathtub with ice cubes in and tell them to hold him down into the tub until I get there. If they don’t, he will be dead before I can teleport myself there. Just send me your location and I will be there in 5 minutes. Bye.” Said Aria.

Then the call ended. Mika ran to the pack doctor and told him what to do which he did. Then she asked the alpha, gamma and beta to help her keep her mate down in the tub until Aria gets here. The alpha knows about her being friends with a witch because Aria's grandmother used to be the pack elder and witch until her mother took over. But her mother is too busy with interrogating the rogues they caught, so she can’t help them right now. Five minutes later Aria showed up with a big bag. She draws a pentagram and a circle on the floor then she told them to carry the tub with Marc in it to place it in the middle of the circle then she lit up some black candles and put them inside the circle and then she took out an old ancient book and brought a bowl of some sort then she summoned her mother to help her with the spell. When her mom saw the delta, she didn’t question her daughter and told the others that no matter what they must hold him down hard and that he can’t leave the tub before the spell is complete and to not stop them or he will die. Then they chant in some foreign language and then they cut their wrists and let the blood drop down in the bowl then they joined their wrists together and took a cloth to tie their wrists together then they cut the deltas wrist and let his blood drop down in the bowl then they started chanting again and then he started to scream in pain and began to try to move but they held a firm hold on him. Then they stopped and poured some potion in the bowl and when they mixed it together they began to chant again then they put some blessed water from the goddess herself in the bowl and chanted again then they stopped and Aria opened his mouth while her mother took the bowl and made him drink every last drop that was in the bowl and then he started screaming in pain and then they could hear him start to shift. The witch ordered the alpha to make him to stop while using his alpha voice or else he will die straight away. The alpha used his alpha voice and told him to stop which he did. After eight hours Marc was beginning to heal and got better. Aria said goodbye to her mom then they left. Mika smiled and thanked them before they left then she walked to her mate and sat down on a chair beside his bed and held his hand tightly afraid that he would disappear without her knowing.

When aria returned home to Reiko and the kids she walked to her bedroom to rest. She fell asleep as soon as she put her head on her pillow. Reiko and the kids were sleeping already.

A week later Marc woke up to find his mate crying and hugged him. He hugged her back afraid to let go. He remembers that he almost died and how Aria helped him. It was a relief that he was still alive. He thought that he would die this time, but he would have died happy because he managed to protect his mate. but he couldn’t help feeling glad that he didn’t because if he did then the kids would have probably lost them both. He was sure that Mika would follow him if he died. And because of that he realized that he needs to find someone who can replace him as delta so he can quit and be with his family until it’s time to say goodbye. His mate seemed to have noticed what he thought about and smiled while nodding her head. That was the answer he needed. He then mind-linked the alpha to tell him about finding someone to replace him and his mate as deltas so that they can spend their time with the kids. The alpha understood where he was coming from and agreed to help him find a replacement. He was discharged three days later and could return home again. They had their hands intertwined and walked all the way home where they got surprised by Marc’s brother and his mate and Reiko was also there. But that made them wonder where aria and the kids where when four warriors came running from the pack house in wolf form running with full speed towards the border. They got worried and wanted to follow only to be stopped by Reiko and Marcs brother Marcus and his mate Avery.
