I did not stick around long enough to find out if Renatus sided with her or if he let the guards drag her away. If I was being honest, I never wanted her as our Queen or in our bed, but Renatus seemed to think that we needed a Queen for the kingdom. For whatever Goddess awful reason, he had thought that Mercedes was the perfect choice. I was very content with the fact that I never touched her. That stain was his alone, at least in the physical aspect. I had watched them, even participated with Renatus only so I wouldn't be physically affected by their romp, but I was never intimate with her.
