KAIA is the only one who can drive me crazy this bad. Ayaw ko naman s'yang pilitin kanina kahit alam kong gusto n'ya rin. I don't want her to hate me more than she hates me now. Baka tuluyan na s'yang lumayo sa akin. Lumabas ako ng kwarto at pinuntahan s'ya sa may lagoon. Naka-swimsuit na lang s'ya ngayon. Umupo ako sa tabi n'ya.
"Are you mad?"
May kung anong lungkot ang mga mata n'ya. "How can I be mad at you? Alam mo naman hindi kita pipilitin kung ayaw mo."
"I'm sorry."
"Don't be sorry. When you make a decision, you stand by it. Now, should we go for a swim? Race you to that rock?"
Ngumisi s'ya. She's back to her old self. "Best of seven?"
Kaia is a really good swimmer. Parang isda na may hasang. "What do I get?"
