The Unwilling Mate

Chapter 13

Addy POV

I stare in shock at them. Not able to process what they had told me. While sitting there I hear someone laugh. I look towards the handsome stranger and notice that it is him who is laughing. I feel red hot anger cross my body and I turn up my nose as I cross my arms and say, " I am glad you find my state of shock so funny maybe the cops will find your trespassing hilarious." 

I continue to stare at him to see if he will feel chagrined by his attitude, but all I see is a smirk cross his soft lips. My eyes narrow at him; who does he think he is getting off acting like a king. " I would suggest you not talk to me like that again."

I raise my eyebrows in disbelief, this guy cannot be serious, but I take his bait anyway " Oh pray tell why not?" I ask him in a prissy sweet voice.

He merely smiles at me then says, with an acidly sweet dripping tone " Why because I am Alpha and I decide weather or not you know about us and if you will be protected or not,simply put."

As I widen my eyes and am about to respond he turns towards Henry and says,as if I am not their "You know this girl is very cute. I see why you like her." I look at Henry to see his eyes narrow in on his "Alpha" as if he is going to kill hi, however he did not respond.

My eyes connect with Liz and I cannot help but feel hurt and betrayed. Liz was willing to keep  secret and part of her whole life from me for so long. At the same time I could understand why she never did tell me. As she finally looked at me I could see vulnerability in her eyes. 

" Why did you never tell me?" I ask her already knowing that d**k head over here probably did not allow her, but wanting to hear her confirm it. She looks at me for a minute in stone silence and finally says, " I did not think you would want to be friends with a werewolf."

As she says this surprise crosses my face. I always believed she knew me pretty well and know that I would never base our friendship on little things that do not change anything. I see that she is looking at me carefully as if to see if things have changed. " I thought you knew me better than that?" I say to her sincerely. Her eyes widen, I look at the guys and see them looking at us " We will talk more in private okay?" I say to her. She gives a small nod.

" Well then I believe you will need to pack now my dear." says the handsome "Alpha"  who I just realized I never got the name of. I stare at him straight in the eyes and I find it hard to look away as I say " What is your name anyway Alpha."

His eyes narrow slightly at my tone of Alpha once it crosses my lips. He growls, "Peter" in response. I nod my head slightly and look at Henry from the side of my eyes; I notice that his eyes changed a completely different color and that he looks really pissed off. I scrunch my eyebrows up and let the confusion show on my face clearly when the phone rings.

I quickly head over to the phone without a second thought to the people in my house. I pick up the phone without checking who it was and say, " Hello." 

"Hey honey." my mom says sweetly. MY eyes widen upon hearing her voice and I look back for a second to look at everyone and make sure that they are not doing anything to make noise or get me in trouble.

"Hi mom. Whats up?" I say as my heart feels as if it is about to come out of my chest.

"Oh nothing I just wanted to let you know that I will be coming home in 2 weeks on a Friday and I will be staying for a while." she says matter of factly. I nod my head to myself as I make a small reminder in my head. " Alright no problem. Well I have to go now. I love you. Bye." I say as I click off before she gets a word in. I feel relief that she is coming home. I will be able to spend time with my other and I will not have to stay with them now. On the other hand I do not really want to see my mother as she never likes to be around me and I really want to spend time with Henry but mostly talk everything out with Liz.

"My mom will be coming home in two weeks." I tell them. I look at both Henry and Liz and see them both looking at " Alpha" Peter for his response. I could not resist rolling my eyes. I look at Peter for his response. He smirks at me and says, "No problem you can stay with us until your mom comes home then you can go home. We will talk more about what to do when that happens after."

I noticed that he finished his sentencing while looking at Henry. I let out a deep breathe and turn away for a moment to think everything through. I saw this as an opportunity to get to know the true Liz a little better and to get to know Henry. Although I will need to be careful how close I get to him. I turn back around and say, with pride " I will go with you. However it will have to be later as I have plans right now."
