Avalon’s P.O.V
I made my way back over to Luna, making her c**k her brow at me.
“Was he that bad?” she laughed.
“I…I, don’t know. I can’t handle being around him.” I stuttered out, still a little taken back with my time spent with Landon.
“Are you alright? What did that man do, you are a hot mess?” She giggled.
“I will tell you later,” I said shyly.
I did not fancy telling her about what happened in front of everyone else. I could see the other girls looking at him, saying dirty things about him. I can understand why he has women falling at his feet. I looked over to where he was to find his eyes looking in my direction. He never looked very amused with me again though. I gave him a small, timid smile, quickly turning away from him. I wish it were time to go home. I cannot handle him watching after me much longer.
“Avalon, do you mind if I go and talk to him?” Luna’s colleague Sasha asked me.
“Um…why are you asking me?” I asked, looking at her confused.
Why does she think she needs my permission to go and talk to him?
“I saw the two of you talking, plus his eyes have barley left you since you walked in.” she said.
“There is nothing going on there. He is too demanding and arrogant for me.” I said, pushing my hair behind my ear.
She smiled, nodding before heading off. I watched as she approached him. She stepped in close to him, her finger running down his chest and said something to him. I know that because I see him smirk at her. I know I should not be watching them, but I could not help myself. It was bothering me seeing the two of them flirt with one and other. He must have sensed me watching him. He looked over Sasha’s shoulder at me, a smug look on his face, running his hand over her bare arm, reaching into her ear, whispering something. All the time he was doing this his eyes never left me once. I rolled my eyes, eventually managing to pull my gaze away from them.
“I need another drink. Anyone need one?” I asked.
“Yes me.” Luna smiled.
Everyone else already had a drink. I made my way over to the bar, standing at the opposite side from where he was with. I ordered myself and Luna a drink, going to pay for them.
“Put them on my tab.” I hear a familiar voice say from behind me.
“No don’t. I can buy my own drink thank you.” I said annoyed.
I was not sure why I was annoyed but I was.
“Put them on my tab, end of conversation.” He hissed at the barman.
The barman gave me a sympathetic look, nodding his head. I grabbed my drinks, turning around but I could not go any further because he was blocking my pathway.
“Thank You for the drinks. Can I get by now please?” I said.
“Nope!” he stated simply.
“What do you mean Nope?” I asked my annoyance building back up.
“I mean no cause I don’t appreciate people walking away from me Avalon. It is something I dislike when people do not do as they are told.” He stated.
“I…I…am sorry.” I managed to stutter out.
The way he was looking at me was making me nervous. I see his frown turn into a smirk when I apologised to him. What is that all about? Does he like when people do as they are told? Something tells me he has some control issues, something I do not need in my life.
“That’s better. I will forgive you this time, but you need to have a drink with me,” he said sternly.
I was gonna refuse, instead, I found myself nodding my head.
“Good girl.” He winked.
I raised my brow at him when he said that to me. Good girl? Really? He chuckled, placing his hand on the small of my back. He ordered himself another drink before guiding me over to a table in the corner, out of everyone’s ways. I felt my entire body respond to his simple touch.
“Ladies first?” he jesters, telling me to sit.
I nodded, giving him a small smile before taking a seat. Landon soon following my lead, taking the seat next to me, pushing it in closer, his thigh brushing mine. I whimpered softly to myself. What is wrong with me? It was only his thigh brushing against me…Geeze. I need to get a grip on myself. I think that will be easier said than done when it comes to him. I took a large gulp of my drink, hoping it would calm my nerves a little. That was not gonna be easy to do now especially when his hand fell on my bare thigh. Goosebumps appearing on my skin, a heat rising between my thighs.
“Tell me, Avalon, why are you still pure? A woman as sexy as yourself must have men throwing themselves at you.” He said.
How does he know I am still pure? Am I that obvious? I started twiddling with my thumbs that were cupped together on my knees, staring at the floor cause I knew that my entire face would be red.
“Avalon look at me and answer my question.” He said sternly.
I slowly lifted my head, looking at him. He was staring at me, impatiently waiting for me to answer his question.
“How, how do you know that I am still pure?” I stuttered out.
“It is very obvious to me. I know women. I can tell which ones are experienced, which ones have s*x only when in relationships and I know the women that have never had sex.” He said.
“I…I…have been concentrating on my career, no time for men or relationships.” I breathed out.
“What about in high school?” He asked.
“I was very shy in high school. No one really paid any attention to me in that way. They were all mainly interested in Luna and the other girls.” I said.
It was the truth; I was not exactly popular in high school. I was more of a geekish kind of girl. No guys paid attention to me. Luna was always the centre of attention, but I preferred it that way cause as I said I was shy back then.
“How do I not believe that?” he asked.
“It is the truth,” I said quietly, pushing my hair behind my ear, a nervous habit of mine.
“And now? You said you do not have time for men Avalon. I think we may need to change that.” He said, the famous smirk on his lips again.
“W…w…we do?” I said, my nerves hitting at full force.
“Yes. I would really like to change all that.” He said, his fingers drawing circles on the skin of my thigh “Only if you want too.”, “ I could show you what you are missing, teach you everything you need to know. Pleasure you in ways that women only believe as myths until they have me,” he added, a huskiness to their tone.
I closed my eyes over, pressing my thighs together. I was trying to stop the throbbing between my legs that was increasing with every second his hand was on my skin…with every word, he spoke to me.
“I…I don’t know.” Was all I managed to get out.
“Have a think about it and get back to me. Though don’t take too long or my offer is off the table.” He said, handing me a card with his phone number on it.
He pulled away from me, standing to his feet.
“I will be hearing from you soon Avalon. As I mention I usually get what I want, and my sights are firmly set on you. Have a nice night baby doll.” He winked, walking away.
He never said another word. I sat there in shock. How is someone meant to respond to an offer like that? An offer from a stranger I know nothing about…that knows nothing about me. I sat there, staring at the card in my hand. I looked around, looking for him wanting to know where he went but he was nowhere in sight, he had disappeared.
“What the heck?” I grumbled to myself.
I shoved the card into my bag, finishing my drink before deciding to go find Luna. I wanna know if she can make any sense of all of what happened.
