Avalon’s P.O.V
It was one a.m., everyone seemed to be having a good night, but I was ready for home. I felt exhausted and I could not get Landon out of my head. I had not seen him since his conversation with me. I hailed a cab, heading home. It was only a short drive from where the event was. I thanked the driver, paying him and heading into my apartment. I kicked my shoes off, heading straight to the bedroom to get the dress off and put my pjs on, sighing in relief with feeling more comfortable. I headed back through, making myself a hot chocolate, sitting on the sofa, and grabbing my bag. I rummaged through it, finding the card Landon gave me, considering to text him but decided against it.
I was not sure what I thought of his proposal or even if I wanted to do it. I am not gonna lie I was attracted to him in a s****l way which is unfamiliar territory to me. Yes, like anyone else I think of all these things, but I have never met someone that makes me wanna make these thoughts a reality. I decided it would be best to stay away cause he has trouble written all over him. I placed it down on the table, taking a drink of my hot chocolate.
My phone beeps, telling me I had a text message. I grabbed it, a number I do not recognise on my screen. Who could that be? Maybe a wrong number. I opened the text and it read.
Hello gorgeous, I am extremely disappointed that I have not heard from you. Landon
I re-read the text ten times, wondering where he even got my phone number. I never gave him it. I saved his number in my phone, opening a blank text, trying to decide how to reply. I must have written and deleted it a hundred times before finally deciding on what I wanted to say.
Avalon: Um…hi. Where did you get my number? You have not heard from me because it has only been a few hours since you asked. What you asked is not something I can decide quickly.
Landon: I have my sources that is not the point here. Why not? It was a simple question, Avalon. Do you want me or not? I know I want you and I think you want me but if you do you better tell me cause I do not wait around for anyone.
Avalon: Simple? There is nothing simple about it, Landon. You are asking me to give you everything. I do not even know you.
Landon: I am not asking you to fall in love with me Avalon. If you want to get to know each other, we can but after that do not expect me to give you any more than some fun. I do not do relationships or dating Avalon. Are you home?
Avalon: I do not think I can do this Landon, sorry. I am not giving everything up to a guy that is only after one thing.
Landon: Avalon s*x is s*x, whether you are in love or not. I have a proposal for you, you wanna hear it?
A proposal? I was intrigued by what he meant.
Avalon: A proposal?
Landon: Yes. Are you home? If so, I am going to come over.
He wants to come to my apartment. Him and I alone, would that be such a good idea? I do not know if I could trust myself around him.
Avalon: Is it not a little late?
Landon: Nope, you are still awake. Do you want me to come over or not? If not tell me right now so I can find someone else cause I do not wait around for anyone Avalon.
Geeze, he is so bossy and annoying and sexy.
Avalon: Fine come over
Landon: That is my girl ;) See you soon baby girl x
I text him my address, not sure if it would be a good idea or not, time to find out. And why is he calling me his girl? I am not his girl. I groaned to myself, a part of me hoping he would change his mind, get a better offer yet there was another part of me that wanted to see him again, find out his proposal. I paced my living room until I heard a knock at my door. I took a few deep breaths before making my way to the front door, opening it. As soon as I did, he walked in.
“Why is your door not locked?” he growled at me, “You should lock the door when you are alone.” He added.
“I do before I go to bed,” I said quietly.
“You don’t know who is around these days. Make sure you lock it next time as soon as you get home OK?” He said.
I nodded my head. Landon walked further into my apartment, looking around.
“Is this area safe?” he asked.
“Yes,” I said getting a little annoyed with his questions and attitudes.
I rolled my eyes at him.
“Don’t roll your eyes at me, Avalon. Someone needs to look out for you.” He said coming towards me.
He was in front of me, he reached in, his hand landing on my cheek, his thumb caressing it.
“Did you miss me?” he said smirking.
I refused to answer his question. How can you miss someone that technically you do not even know? I shook my head, turning and began walking away from him. He had other ideas. He grabbed my hips, pulling me around and into his chest, holding me tightly against his chest. His hands gripping tightly onto my hips.
“Where are you going? I thought I made it clear that I don’t like when people walk away from Avalon.” He said.
“I am going to sit down. Are you always this bossy?” I asked.
“Bossy?” he chuckled.
“Yes bossy, what else do you call it?” I asked.
“Telling it straight. And are you always this disobedient?” he said raising his brow at me.
Disobedient? What does that even mean? Well I know what it means, I do not see how it applies to me.
“Excuse me?” I asked getting annoyed again.
“You heard me. Can you not follow simple orders?” he asked.
“Orders? What?” I asked confused.
“Kiss me,” he demanded rather than asking.
“No.” I stuttered out.
When really, I wanted to…badly. I do not know how I feel about him demanding it from me. I am beginning to think he has some control issues.
“As I said you don’t know how to follow orders. Kiss me, Avalon.” He growled at me.
His emerald greens eyes were staring into mine, slight darkness to them now. He ran his tongue over his bottom lip, inching his face closer to mine. My breath caught in my throat. His hot breath feathering my face causing me to become weak again. I never moved, kept the small space between us.
“For f**k sake.” He said annoyed before his lips crashed against mine.
I never kissed back at first. My body struggling to get used to the feeling of his lips against mine. When I never kissed him back, he tugged my lower lip between his teeth roughly. I whimpered against his lip, the slight pain seeming to make things begin to stir in my body. I gave in, kissing him back. He moaned loudly into the kiss, walking me backwards, pushing my back against the wall. His body pressing against mine. I felt his hand trail my body, falling on my ass, pulling my front tightly into his, forcing his tongue into my mouth.
I went to wrap my arms around his neck, but he stopped me, pinning my hands above my head instead. His tongue and mine fighting for control, Landon winning. I could feel his excitement press between my legs, making my own feeling of excitement grow between my legs. I felt my knees buckle slightly as the kiss became more heated, more erotic. I managed to pull myself together, the kiss continues. He pulled away from my lips, his body still close to mine. I was panting heavily, every part of my body burning with a desire that has never overtaken me this way…burning with a desire for him.
“Mmm, your lips taste good.” He groaned, licking his lips.
I slowly opened my eyes eventually looking at him. I knew no matter how much I tried to hide all the feeling that was soaring through my body at once my eyes would give it away. My eyes would tell him exactly what he is doing to me.
“Now you can go sit down, we need to talk.” He said sternly.
“OK.” I breathed out.
He stepped away from me, let me go by him, sitting on the sofa. He soon followed my lead, sitting close to me again. I cannot handle him being this close to me. It was causing dirty thoughts to run through my head.
“I am gonna tell you my proposal now even though I really don’t need to cause that kiss told me everything that I needed to know. You want me Avalon and I want you…you will be mine but before I will tell you about the proposal I mention.” He said.
“OK,” I whispered, nodding my head.
I was not sure what to expect to come out of his mouth.
