14. Brooke: I've lost Aaron forever

"Drake," I whispered, fear gripping me, I unconsciously took a step back while holding Vanessa's arm as my ex mate smirked, looking at me like I was a piece of meat that he was ready to devour.

His beta, Daniel, stood next to him with a poker face on, he looked more than ready to grab me and leave.

"What's wrong? Do you know him?" Vanessa asked protectively holding me close to her, "is he the one that did that to you?" She asked, glaring at Drake who just stood there, arms crossed, not making a move.

"We have to run, he will kill me," I whispered to her taking another step back and she stood infront of me asking,

"Can we help you?"

"Yes of course actually," Drake uncrossed his arms then fixed his gaze on me, "I'm here to pick up my girlfriend,"

He came closer about to grab me when,

"No, stay away," Vanessa said pushing me back and her taking a step back, "I can tell she doesn't want to go with you, so leave, else I will call the police," She threatened but there was an edge to her voice.

Anyone in hearing range could tell that she was just as afraid as I was.

Well, who wouldn't be afraid of Drake?

He was extremely tall and muscular, wearing a small size T-shirt that was clinging to his muscles for dear life.

Just looking at him, anyone would s**t their pants and I'm no exception.

All the torture he's made me pass through came crushing in my mind and just the thought of him taking me with him didn't sit well with me.

I didn't want to go back to that life, the life where I'm tortured everyday and made to wait on everyone, no, not when I've met my second chance who seems capable of taking care of me and---

I looked around sniffing the air but I couldn't scent him.

Why would he disappear now that I needed him the most.

"It seems the little Human is trying to scare us," Daniel said and Drake let out a deep chuckle saying,

"I'm pretty sure she would have run the other way if she knew who she was messing with," he came closer and stood right infront of Vanessa over towering her small frame.

We both basically looked like scared little ants compared to him as he spoke,

"I will tell you just once little Human, move out of the way else ----"

"Else what?" she asked taking another step back me doing the same,

"Why are you hiding behind a human like a coward, we can take him!" Cassy growled in my head ready to take control and rip Drake's d**k off.

"No," I said pushing her down, "you've never bothered to stand against him since we became one, why today?"

"Because we have Aaron's strength, Drake won't stand a chance," she growled again fighting me for control but I pushed her down.

"Brooke, let's go," Drake gave me an alpha command but it didn't phase me and neither did Cassy feel the need to submit and follow him.

But instead, I was filled with power power enough to reject a command from my alpha.

"He's no longer our alpha," Cassy sneered in my head, "we rejected his leadership the moment we stepped foot out of his pack. Now stand your ground and put that fucker in his place!" she growled in my head and I took in a deep breath saying,

"No!" I came out of hiding and stood next to Vanessa, "I'm not going anywhere with you,"

"Listen here you little slave!" Drake growled wrapping his large hand around my neck.

"Let her go now!" Vanessa screamed out, hitting on Drake's arm but he held her arm and pushed her off, causing her to hit her head on the car that was next to hers.

She fell on the concrete ground, blood trickling down the side of her head.

"Vanessa," I chocked out hitting Drake's arm hoping to free myself and help her.

I brought my knee up and managed to knee him where the sun doesn't shine.

He winced loosening his grip on me and I pushed him off, rushing over to help Vanessa but a scream escaped my lips when Drake grabbed my arm and pulled me flushed against his chest.

He pinned my arm behind my back and pulled me closer until there was zero space between us, our chests marrying.

"You look good and why do I smell another male on you, little mate?" he lowly growled tilting my head up so that I can face him,

"Let go of me!" I spat on his face earning myself a growl.

He tightened his grip on my arm and a sickening snap, echoed through the parking lot.

I bit my lip, refusing to cry as intense pain course through my body, the pain was intense but not as bad as last night.

"Stop fighting me," he lowly whispered next to my ear, followed by licking it lightly, causing me to shiver in disgust.

I didn't want him touching or licking me like this, the only person I wanted touching and licking me was Aaron.

"Please, let me go," I begged trying to free myself again but all he did was throw me on his shoulder, leading the way out of the parking lot.

"Help!!" I screamed hitting his back as hard as I could but my efforts were all in vain.

At this point, I even wished that I didn't come here with Vanessa, I should have stayed at school with Aaron, maybe I would have been safe with him and his friends but --- who am I kidding, Aaron is a beta, Drake is an alpha, I'm pretty sure Drake would have paralysed Aaron with his alpha aura.

And plus, Drake looks a lot muscular than Aaron. Aaron is mascular and tall but I think his muscles would pale in comparison to Drake.

"Please let me go," I begged Drake again and he set me on my feet saying,

"Never! You are mine!" he held the neckline of the hoodie and in one move, ripped a chunk off, exposing my shoulder but thankfully it wasn't were Aaron had left his large hickey.

I'm pretty sure I would have earned myself a punch or another beating if he saw the hickey on me.

"Please don't," I pleaded as he softly caressed my neck then smirked saying,

"Mine!"

Another scream escaped my lips when I felt him sink his teeth into my neck but just as quickly as he sank them, they were quick to retract and with a whoosh, he was off me.

I held my burning shoulder sobbing while looking on as Aaron sat on top of Drake's large form, landing blows after blows on him.

Daniel jumped into action and grabbed Aaron, throwing him across the car park and he went flying, hitting himself on one of the cars, denting it, the car alarm blaring.

"Aaron!" I screamed out as Drake gathered himself up while Daniel tried to make me get into Drake's car.

"Stop fighting and just f*****g get in!" Daniel growled about to successfully make me get in when someone grabbed him by the neck from behind.

I didn't have to see the person to know exactly who it was, his scent was more than enough to alert me of his presence.

Daniel loosened his grip on me and Aaron threw him across the car park but it was worse for him as he went flying a few cars over, landing on top of a black Subaru, his large butt penetrating through the metallic roof of the car, leaving only his upper body and legs hunging out.

He was a bit far but I didn't have to look at his facial expressions to tell that he was in pain.

I'm pretty sure all those metals managed to kiss his ass and would probably take too long to heal.

"You are dead!" we heard Drake growl, managing to get up.

He still looked beaten up but the rage in his eyes was enough fuel and he jumped on Aaron both of them tumbling on the ground.

Drake got the upper hand and got on top of Aaron, landing two repeated punches on his jaw, bursting his lip, the smell of his blood catching my nostrils.

I was about to jump into the fight and help my new mate when he --- Aaron --- managed to throw Drake off of him.

Drake didn't fall far, he came charging at Aaron again but the later was quick to get on his feet and land another punch on Drake's jaw making him stumble backwards.

Drake growled out about to punch Aaron but Aaron swiftly moved out of the way and double punched him in the stomach knocking his breath out.

He didn't let Drake recover as he landed a round kick on his chest, sending him flying across the car park and he equally landed on a car denting it, the sound of car alarms still blaring.

I saw Drake struggle to get back to his feat and a small sigh of relief escaped my lips, glad that Aaron managed to overpower both alpha and beta single handedly.

"Are you okay?" He asked assessing me for injuries but I wrapped my arms around him, holding him tightly, sobbing on his shoulder.

"I'm sorry I was late. I won't let him touch you again, I promise," he said equally hugging me tightly.

He placed his hands under my legs lifting me up and I wrapped my legs around his waist my arms still wrapped around his neck,

"You are safe," he softly whispered and began walking back to where Vanessa's car was parked.

"Brooke!" I heard Vanessa's voice.

Aaron set me on my feet and Vanessa quickly wrapped her arms around me saying,

"Are you okay? I'm sorry I couldn't help you,"

"I'm fine," I softly said hugging her back but she broke the hug saying,

"I'm so glad you are safe and ---"

Her eyes instantly landed on my neck which I'm pretty sure was bleeding.

"Did he ----"

"It's nothing," I said covering it up with my hand and looking at Aaron whose eyes were equally focused on the bite mark.

I could see a red ring around his eyes, the rage in them clearly visible.

"He's a dead man," Aaron growled his shoulders tensing lightly as he ran his hands in his hair.

"I'm fine, it's nothing," I tried to assure him but --

"'This isn't nothing and you know that," Cassy whined in my head, "He sunk his teeth, our bond---"

"No!" I quickly cut her off, "don't tell me a bond was clicked in place with Drake! No it can't be. He rejected us and we both accepted the rejection, he can't do this to us --- to me!"

I felt a tear slide down my cheek as the reality of the situation set in, Drake marked me, he f*****g marked me and now--- I'm going to lose Aaron!

No! This can't he happening to me, I just met him, I can't lose him!

"Aaron I ---" words refused to come out when I saw Aaron take a step back.

He looked deep into my eyes, emotions flowing through them but one stood out the most,

Hurt. My mate was hurt and it was all my fault.

"Aaron, this is nothing," I closed the distance between us and held his arm, "I don't accept this, Cassy doesn't either. I only want to be with you. I don't want Drake. He already rejected me and I accepted his rejection, his claim will fade, it will," I tried to assure him but I was also in doubt, was this mark really going to fade? Or it was here to stay and I've lost Aaron forever?
