“Where is Everett?” I asked mom when I got back to the castle.
“He and Elle are with Dr. Green,” she replied excitedly. “They find out the gender today.”
“Oh, I forgot about that,” I said. “I hope it’s a girl.”
“Aye, me too,” she chuckled. “Is everything okay, dear?”
“I talked to the creature,” I said. “His name is Trytan, and he said they came to this planet first and are going to take it back.”
“Trytan?” She tested the name. “What else did he say?”
“They weren’t afraid of us, and we couldn’t kill them,” I said. “But he seemed to be affected by the magic Minnie used. He burned himself on the bars of his cell.”
“Interesting,” she said. “At least we found a weakness.”
