Chapter 2 Escape Plan

Persephone's POV

I'm looking around trying to find an opening to escape so I won't be seen before I hear. "Well well.. what do we have here?" I look over to my side to see it's one of the wolves walking out from behind the other side of the tree line, suprising me completely.

I step out from the tree to back away from him as cautiously as possible.. just in hopes I will be able to escape if I have any opportunity. I keep backing away not answering him at all in hopes he won't know if I'm a light or dark Fae. Because if he thinks I'm dark one then he might not come too close in fear that I would hurt him.

"Looks like a pretty little Fae that has lost her way.. now the main factor in deciding if I should kill you or not is going to be determined if your light or dark." He explains to me stepping closer as I step back again.

"How about we don't worry about those details and you just let me leave this area on my own.. so you won't have to worry about me." I try to negotiate causing the large dark gray wolf to laugh. He is radiating a strong aura from him but it's not Alpha strong, but close.. So I would say he must be a Beta or Gamma of the Moonrise Pack.

"So a light Fae.. that's good to know." I watch him step closer so I of course take a step back for every step forward he takes. I clear my throat as I try to convince him otherwise, that I might be a threat to him.

"You can't confirm that." I spat at him puffing out my chest as I raise my hands to try to look like a threat, so he won't take me captive to use and abuse my powers for his own greed.. I see light illuminating from within him showing me he has good inside of him.. but not enough for me to trust that he won't torture me.

"If you were dark, then you would have already tried to hurt me." He explains huffing with a chuckle at my expense.

After this statement I watch a bigger beautiful black wolf approach behind the large gray one. His fur looks silky smooth that for some odd reason I just want to run my hands through it.. but I'm not stupid, so I won't do that no matter what magnetizing feelings are attracting me to this huge wolf.. I keep staring at him and by the dominance aura radiating off of him I would assume he is the Alpha of the Moonrise Pack. I watch as they look back and forth between each other and me for a long silent moment. I'm assuming to talk over their mindlink, like wolves always do. It's a way they can talk through their minds because they are in the same pack.

I take advantage of them being slightly distracted, because this is my only shot to get away. I turn around a taking off away from them in hopes I have the speed with the help of my wings to get away.

Jayce's POV

"Alpha I saw a light creature sneaking away.. I can smell it. I think it might be hiding." my Beta Theodore informs me as he sneaks around this large tree away from the Cyclops we are still slowly taking out.

"Check it out Theo and I'll be there in just a second." I instruct him as I check out the surrounding area we can see, making sure there are no more threats around the border of our pack lands.

I don't see anything around right here.. "Ok men take the Cyclops to the dungeons to be questioned why he was there and if he is a threat to our pack." I command the rest of my men as they all respond in unison. "Yes Alpha."

I watch the men drag the knocked out Cyclops away and out of my line of sight.

I turn around, quickly crossing over the treeline and where I think my Beta is by the smell if it. Luckily I'm right as I see his tail wagging, but by how big he is I can't tell what he is looking at just yet. Lots of light creatures are small so I just figure a gnome or something along those lines.

I approach him and the first thing I notice is the amazing sweet scent just luring me in, like the best trap I have ever been apart of.. I look around my Beta to see the most beautiful Fae. She has long dark hair that makes her even darker golden brown eyes pop out almost shining. Her skintone is practically glowing, making her just radiate beauty. The leather made cloth covers up her legs except for one that has a hole in the cloth.. but with how tight it is, it's not leaving too much to the imagination luckily for me.

My eyes trail from her cute little feet that arch slightly, to her thick thighs that are being covered by the cloth only slightly. Her exposed stomach is showing but of course not her bust being covered by the little bit of torn up cloth. It's so sexy that I just feel my insides heating up at the sight of her alone.

Milo my wolf is now going nuts at the sight of her, "Mate, Mate.. that's our mate.. Goddess isn't she stunning!" He exclaims shocking me completely. "No she can't be our mate.. that's not possible.. she is not a wolf." I state to him as he scoffs at that comment.

"No one ever said our mate had to be wolf and who cares anyways, she is the most beautiful creature I have ever layed my eyes on." Milo explains sounding love sick but this shouldn't be a thing.

"Mates will always be the most amazing point in our lives but if she is not a wolf, then there is no way she will have the same priorities of taking care of our pack and let alone wanting to be with us.. So we should just reject her before we even have a chance to get attached." I think to Milo as he scoffs getting irritated with my comment. "We have been waiting far too long of a time trying to find our mate.. so there is no way in hell I'm letting her get away because you're afraid of having something different. Being afraid of the unknown is not an Alpha quality." He lectures me so quickly as I step closer nod knowing he is right, so I glance at Theo for a moment... or should I say Sage.. that's Theo's wolf's name.

"Alpha sir, she is a light Fae. she had had plenty of chance to hurt me but refuses.. maybe that's why the Cyclops had her.. we can just take her captive and torture her to find out what her powers are and if she has nothing useful, we can just use her blood in a ceremony. Or maybe use her for other things like a toy since she is so beautiful. " He explains to me as I let out a warning growl to him gaining his attention along with confusion.

"We need to tell him to not talk about our mate like this." Milo adds protectively as I hate the idea of having to admit this to my best friend because I don't want him to think I'm weak for finding my mate. Especially a mate that's not even a wolf. But there is no way I would ever let anyone hurt her if I have anything to say about it.

"Sage.. don't say that about her!.. I'm not trying to threaten you ever, because you will always be my best friend, but she is my mate and there is no way I'm letting you torture her in any way, to get what you want from her." I warn him outright as I watch his eyes go wide.

"The light Fae is your mate?! I didn't even know that was possible!" He states in complete shock joining me as we both look at her then back to us.

"So how do I talk with her about this?" I ask curiously as we both glance at her, but she quickly takes off, running away with the help of her wings helping her glide away from the scene. We both take off running after her, jumping the same obstacles as her, before sliding under a fallen tree stumps that she just ran and fly over the top of.

I follow her sweet scent helping guide me the way, if I couldn't see her. I'm faster then my beta so I get closer and closer to her and almost in reach.. Until I hear a loud yelp from my Beta, gaining my attention. He has been struck and thrown to the side by a goblin, hitting a nearby boulder. He yelps and whimpers in pain as I try to run to him, watching the Goblin hover over him, about ready to kill my best friend before I can even get to him in time.

The Goblin's arm extends up, readying to smash his head open with a huge tree branch. Until the branch in his grip just disappears in an instant, turning into dust. I'm confused as I keep getting closer until I see my mate, the Fae, pop out from the tree above the Goblin. Straight to the ground between Sage and the Goblin. She takes the dust chanting and blowing it into his face as we watch the Goblin fall to the ground unconscious in no time at all.

She turns around quickly as she kneels down next to Sage checking out the situation and I just let her, as I inch closer to the scene.

I get right behind her trying to not scare her away as she takes care of my Beta for me.

She quickly grabs some herbs from besides them putting it into her hands as she whispers into her fists making them glow from within.

Sage groans out, whimpering in pain as the most melodic sound escapes her lips in response. "Shhh.. you will be alright.. don't worry."

I watch her place the herbs in his open wound, he groans out as the wound hisses so loudly with smoke exiting the opening. He grunts and growls louder at the herbs in his wounds. She chants lightly over him almost serenading him, as I notice light pulsating throughout the wound.

She quickly stands up, looking into her satchel, searching for somrthing.. when she finds it she takes a vial from within her satchel, turning to me then staring into my eyes.. I don't know why but I can't help but just stare back almost getting lost in her breathtaking golden brown eyes.

"Alpha, you need to make him drink this." She says so sweetly to me, as she kneels down in front of me setting the vial down on the ground. I shake my head as she mimics my movements. "I promise I'm a light Fae and I swear on my life and everything that I am, that this won't hurt him. But he needs this to finish up the healing spell." She tries to explain to me as I shake my head more. "How do I know you mean that?.. Why can't you do it Fae?" I ask her as she retorts, "I'm not just a Fae my name is Persephone and I'm the last of my light clan.. I swear I'm not threat to you.. but I NEED to get away.. This potion is the only way your comrade will survive. So it's either him or me.. and I know you know what you need to do.. I can see the light radiating from within you.. I know there is good in you, so you won't let your friend just die. So please help him so I can make my escape please. It was a pleasure, just stay safe out there." She explains to me as she bows then stands up, before taking off into the darkness making her escape.
